Day 24: 31 Days Nail Challenge - Inspired by a Book

Hello my dears!

The theme of today is inspiration by a book... I decided to do Harry potter nails because i was so damn addicted to J. K. Rowlings books when i was younger... i read the first 4 books like 4 times each one!  The first book i read in my grandma's bathroom floor at high hour of the night lool I also used to scream at my younger sisters who usually decided to make some real noise precisely when i was reading the books! Also lol i got tired of waiting for portuguese translations so book 5 was the first book i read in english :) Quite a few memories... i could go on endlessly lool

O tema de hoje é inspiração num livro... Decidi fazer uma manicure inspirada no Harry Potter porque já estive muito viciada e maravilhada com os livros da J. K Rowling quando era mais nova... eu li os primeiros 4 livros cerca de 4 vezes cada um! O primeiro livro li no chão da casa de banho da minha avó às tantas da manhã lool. Também costumava brigar com as minhas irmãs porque precisamente quando estava a ler, elas decidiam fazer imenso barulho! Os livros do Harry Potter, aliás, o 5º livro foi também o primeiro livro que li em inglês porque cansei-me de esperar pelas traduções para português :) Bastantes memórias que eu tenho... e podia continuar indefinidamente lool

I started by painting my nails with W7 black and Barry M Nail Effects in Gold in the ring finger. Then, using Golden Rose Nail art brush in silver and Kiko 404 brush i did the Harry Potter letters in my thumb (i'm quite proud of the "H" lol), then the golden snitch in my forefinger. The middle finger symbol represents the Deathly Hallows symbol and in the pinkie finger i drew Harry's scar (or i tryed to lol). For the ring finger i choosed the Gryffindor colors eh eh and the red is from China Glaze Visions of Grandeur polish :p

Comecei por pintar as unhas com o verniz W7 Black e o Barry M Nail Effects Gold no dedo anelar. Depois, utilizando o verniz Golden Rose Nail art na cor prata e o pincel 404 da Kiko desenhei as letras do Harry Potter (estou orgulhosa do "H" lol) e depois a snitch de ouro no dedo indicador.O símbolo do dedo  do meio representa os talismãs da morte (nunca gostei da nossa tradução) e no dedo mindinho desenhei a cicatriz do Harry (humm ou tentei lol). No dedo anelar decidi utilizar as cores dos Gryffindor e o vermelho é o verniz China Glaze Visions of Grandeur :p

Ahhh i so miss the books!! I kind of grew up at the same time J. K. Rowling was releasing them and i need another end.., it doesn't feel right, i mean, it looked like a forced ending :| Anyway i loved my nails and i hope you can picture the designs did (no spoilers) :p Tomorrow the inspiration nails belong to fashion theme... Eu tenho tantas saudades dos livros!! Eu a modos que cresci ao mesmo tempo que a J. K. Rowling estava a lançá-los e eu preciso de outro fim... o final dos livros não me parece bem, quer dizer, pareceu-me um final forçado :| De qualquer forma, eu adoreeeeii as minhas unhas e espero que vocês consigam compreender os desenhos que eu fiz (nada de spoilers) :p Amanhã o tema é inspiração em moda... Day 23: 31 Day Nail Challenge - Inspired by A Movie

Hello sweeties! :)

Today's theme is a very difficult one to me. I had no clue until yesterday... My inspiration is in the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie, or else it started there eh eh because i have seen the movie but do not remember the details... However in my childhood i used to see the Ninja turtles in tv lol so this is kind of a mix :p

O tema de hoje foi bastante difícil para mim. Não tive ideia nenhuma até ontem... A minha inspiração é no filme "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"; Aliás, começou neste filme, mas não me recordo de muitos detalhes. Na minha infância vi muitas vezes as Tartarugas Ninja na tv lol e portanto a manicure de hoje é uma mistura de ambos :p

See the black ninja? Can you guess who he is?! It's me... I am the ninja masterrrr!! LOL

Estão a ver o ninja preto? Adivinham quem é?! Sou eu... Eu sou a mestreeeee ninja!! LOL

I started with the green polish Essence Bashfull from the Snow White collection and then stamped with Essence Lime up! and plate BM 206. I used a lot of polishes lol and they're in a picture in the end of the post (i will give you details if you ask). I kind of wanted to achieve a turtle carapace pattern with this circles design but maybe i should have done another design... hummm :p. After dry i did the french lines and the eyes with dotting tools :)

Comecei com o verniz verde Essence Bashfull da colecção Snow White e depois carimbei com o Essence Lime up! o desenho da plaquinha BM 206. Utilizei bastantes vernizes lol e eles encontram-se numa foto no fim do post (dou-vos os detalhes se perguntarem). Eu a modos que desejei conseguir o padrão da capaça das tartarugas com este desenho de círculos, mas se calhar devia ter escolhido outro padrão... hummm :p. Depois de seco fiz as francesinhas e os olhos com boleadores :)

I love the final result and can't believe in how easy, though time consuming, it turned out to be! :) I am looking forward to see what my fellow blogger friends have done for today! :) Kisses and see you tomorrow for a book inpired manicure :p

Day 22: 31 Days Nail Challenge - Inspired by a Song

Olá meninas! :)

Today the challenge theme is to get inspiration from a song... I decided to choose something i liked and something hopefully is known all over the world :) I'm talking about Scorpions "Still Loving You"... a classic! And tell me who in a world doesn't enjoy a good ballad music? Whether in pain or not, it always tell us something :) (read this post with the song playing)

Hoje o tema do desafio é inspiração numa música... decidi escolher algo que eu gosto e que espero ser reconhecido por todo o Mundo :) Estou a falar dos Scorpions "Still Loving You"... um clássico! E digam-me quem é que no Mundo inteiro não desfruta de uma boa balada? Seja em sofrimento ou não, este tipo de música diz-nos sempre alguma coisa :) (leiam o post ao som da música)

I think this music has a suffering feeling for the lost and longing love; so my way of representing it is with black and red colors. I used China Glaze Visions of Grandeur and W7 Black to do the Saran Wrap technique and i really love the result!! The ring nail with white base and red hearts represents the pure love he still has for her and that he's trying to win back. The white is Purple Nº32 and the hearts belong to MASH 39 plate stamped with China Glaze Visions of Grandeur.

Penso que esta música tem um sentimento de dor bem latente pelo amor perdido e ardente; então a minha forma de representar tais sentimentos foi escolhendo as cores vermelho e preto. Utilizei a técnica Saran Wrap (desconheço o termo em português) com os vernizes China Glaze Visions of Grandeur e W7 Black e adoro o resultado!! O anelar com a base branca e corações vermelhos representa o amor puro que ele tem por ela e que está a tentar reconquistar. O branco é o verniz Purple Nº32 e os corações pertencem à plaquinha MASH 39 e foram carimbados com o verniz China Glaze Visions of Grandeur.

While i was doing this manicure and writing this post i'm repeatedly listening to this song and... it has such a deep feeling to it! I love it and it was written and produced before i was even born... the power of music is just amazing! :) I also adore my manicure lol and i hope you like it too! Enquanto fiz esta manicure e estou agora a escrever este post, estou repetidamente a ouvir esta música e... tem um sentimento tão profundo! Day 21: 31 Days Nail Challenge - Inspired by A Color

Hola guapas! :)

And so we begin our journey through the last days of the challenge featuring inspired manicures. The first one is Inspiration in a color. I was not going to do what i did for today but i just got this GORGEOUS polish from Copious this week and i had to use it lol. My inspiration is Blue (no more no less than my favorite polish color eh eh)

E assim começamos a nossa aventura pelos últimos dias do desafio com manicures inspiradas em diversos temas. O primeiro é inspiração numa cor. Eu não ia fazer o que fiz para hoje, mas acabei de receber esta semana este verniz LINDÃO do Copious e tive mesmo de o usar lol. A minha inspiração é na cor azul (nada mais e nada menos que a minha cor favorita de vernizes eh eh)

OMG! Omg for the China Glaze 2NITE holographic prism and formula and brush and... OMG! lool Now i know why everyone's crazy with this OMG Collection from China Glaze! It's like perfection in every aspect in my nails... So damn beautiful! *.* I found it on copious for 25usd as soon as i finished my registration... i didn't buy it immediatly... i saw swatches and in one i came across a stamping design done with 2NITE and i was sold! lool I even dreamed with it and in the next day i bought it! I did an accent nail just because i was in the mood for it lol and i used some loosed glitter from Essence and the black polish is W7 :)

OMG! Oh Meu Deus para o prisma holográfico do China Glaze 2NITE e para a formula e para o pincel e... OMG! lool Agora sei porque anda tudo louco com a colecção OMG da China Glaze (de 2009)! É como ter a perfeição em todos os aspectos nas unhas... Maravilhoso! *.* Encontrei-o no Copious por 25usd assim que completei o  meu registo... não o comprei imediatamente... vi swatches e num deles descobri que carimba muito bem... fiquei rendida! loool Cheguei a sonhar com ele e no dia seguinte comprei-o! Fiz uma fila única só porque estava para lá virada lol e utilizei glitter solto da Essence (comprei na Wells por 0.50€) e o verniz preto é o W7 black :)

Gorgeous isn't it? I'm very happyyy to have it in my humble nail polish collection :) Tomorrow's theme is inspired by a song... and i can tell you in advanced that i choosed a song from Scorpions lol Kisses and see you tomorrow! :)

Day 20: 31 Day Nail Challenge - Water Marble

Hello Sweties! :)

You know those times when you don't try something for a long time because you know it's going to be a big fail (nail related of course)?? That's what happened to me today! lol My Water Marble is such a disaster that i'm even a bit ashamed of posting it lol but challenge is challenge and i'm here do challenge myself!

Sabem quando não experimentam algo por um longo tempo porque sabem à priori que vão fazer uma grande asneira (relacionada com unhas claro)?? Foi exactamente o que aconteceu comigo hoje! lol A minha manicure Water Marble (desconheço a tradução) ficou um desastre e até estou um pouco envergonhada de a publicar lol mas desafio é desafio e eu estou aqui para me desafiar!

Ah well... i think i will redo them someday... lol i could have tryed to do a new one for this post but doing water marble takes my patience away lool all the dripping polish and the after cleaning... ugh... i'll stick to stamping! LOL I know what went wrong (or so i think) and it's because one of the polishes isn't opaque in one layer (i'm missing the word...) - Barry M Mint Green. The other two colors are Kiko Nº339 and Sally Hanse Fuchsia Power. Only the thumb has a nice design lol and i was trying to achieve the same to all nails...

Bom... um dia hei-de refazê-las... lol. Eu podia ter tentado fazer outra manicure para este post mas o water marble esgotou a minha paciência com todo o pingar do verniz para a água e a limpeza final... ugh... Eu vou é ficar pelos carimbos! LOL Eu sei o que correu mal (ou penso eu de que) e foi o facto de um dos vernizes não ser opaco numa camada (falta-me o termo correcto) - Barry M Mint Green. Os outros dois vernizes utilizados foram o Kiko Nº338 e o Sally Hansen Fuchsia Power. Só a unha do polegar ficou com o desenho bonitinho lol e era o que que estava a tentar alcançar para todas as unhas...

I'm looking forward to see the water marbles my friends did! :D Tomorrow starts the inspirations themes... my feared week! lol I have managed to have some ideas yesterday... but i'm pretty much clueless to what i will do the next 10 days lol (and iupi! I'm alive after 20 days! lool). Kisses and see you tomorrow! :D

Estou curiosa de ver as unhas Water Marbled que as minhas amigas fizeram! :D Amanhã começam os temas de inspiração... a minha semana temida! lol Ontem consegui ter algumas ideias mas de resto não tenho noção do que vou fazer nos próximos 10 dias lol (e iupi! Day 19: 31 Day Nail Challenge - Galaxies

Hello sweties! :)

And for the 19th day of the challenge we have galaxies! This was something i've meant to do a long time ago, but somehow i believed it was too hard to and kept pushing it into the back of my mind... i couldn't be more mistaken! It's so easy!

E para o décimo nono dia temos galáxias! Isto é algo que eu queria fazer há imenso tempo, mas de alguma forma acreditei que era muito complicado e continuei a empurrar para o fundo da minha mente... Não podia estar mais enganada! É muiiito fácil!

I got inspiration in conjuction of three galaxies from the picture above. I started with Ulta3 Midnigh that has a dark blue, almost black color that i think represents very well the space. After i did the constelation using a sponge and Puple Nº32, Risqué Azulcrination and Ulta3 Orchid. Afterwards i used 3 glitters in different nails: Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor, Risqué Star and Kiko Nº230. To end i used a dotting tool to do dots that represents stars. I LOVED it!!! Next time i only have to do smaller dots :)

Fiquei inspirada na conjunção de três galáxias da imagem acima. Comecei por aplicar o Ulta3 Midnigh que tem um tom azul escuro quase preto, perfeito para a cor do espaço. Depois com uma esponja esponjei o branco da Purple Nº32, o Risqué Azulcrination e o Ulta3 Orchid para fazer as constelações. De seguida utilizei 3 glitters em diferentes unhas: o Sinful Colours Pearl Harbor, o Risqué Star e o Kiko Nº230. Para terminar utilizei o boleador para fazer umas bolinhas no sentido de representar as estrelas. AMEI!!! Para a próxima só tenho de fazer bolinhas menores :)

Day 18: 31 Days Nail Challenge - Half Moons

Olá queridas! :)

Humm... half moons... i don't really like them... Well i just like the simple and elegant ones lol. But that is not what i have done for today and maybe i should have. I did this 3 times lol in the first one i didn't like the dots size, in the second try i messes it up because the base was wet and as i was in a hurry i just put a glitter and went out. When i returned home i did this

Humm... Meias Luas... Não gosto muito deste tipo de manicure... Quer dizer, gosto das versões simples e elegantes lol. Contudo, não foi o que fiz para este desafio. Fiz esta manicure 3 vezes lol na primeira não gostei do tamanho das bolinhas e na segunda estraguei tudo pois estava com pressa e não deixei o verniz base secar. Então tirei, pus um glitter e fui à minha vida. Quando voltei foi isto o que fiz

The glitter base is China Glaze I'm Not a Lion which i just used yesterday in the challenge lol and the brown metallic polish is Inocos Cortiça, which is a portuguese brand :) After i did the half moon with french stickers, i used a dotting tool to do the dots with China Glaze I'm Not a Lion :)

O verniz glitter da base é o China Glaze I'm Not a Lion que usei ontem no desafio lol e o verniz castanho metálico é o Inocos Cortiça. Depois de fazer as meias luas com aquelas tirinhas brancas para unhas francesas, utilizei um boleador para fazer as bolinhas com o verniz China Glaze I'm Not a Lion e voilá! :)

Not one of my favorite manicures that's for sure lol because my nails are small this doesn't look so good. Check the other ladies manicures, there are some pretty good half moons there :D See you tomorrow for Water Marble theme (which mine totally sucks... so maybe come back after tomorrow? loool). Day 16: 31 Days Nail Challenge - Tribal Print

Good evening! :)

Today the theme is Tribal Print... nothing occured to me besides stamping. But i did not stamp lol i realised i had to sit down and just let my imagination flow... here's what i did

O tema de hoje é "padrão tribal"... nada me ocorreu além de carimbar. Mas não carimbei lol. Compreendi que tinha de me sentar e deixar a imaginação fluir... aqui está o que fiz

It's no way perfect... i even have trouble deciding if this is a tribal pattern or not lool. Anyway below is a picture of everything i used except the brushes (forgot to add them) and they're so many that i won't name them. But if you want to know something specific ask in the comments and i will answer :p The base polish is the lovely Kiko Nº338 :)

Está longe de perfeito... eu própria tenho dificuldade em decidir se este é um padrão tribal ou não loool. De qualquer forma, abaixo está uma foto com tudo o que usei nesta manicure (excepto os pincéis) e são tantos vernizes que não vou nomeá-los. Mas se estiverem interessados nalguma cor perguntem nos comentários e eu respondo :p O verniz base é o lindinho Kiko Nº338 que segundo sei ainda está em promoção a 1,50€ na Kiko :)

These are the first tribal manicure i did lol and though it is confusing, i like them eh eh. Short post today because... i don't know what else to say :p Tomorrow the theme is glitter (*.*) and don't forget to check the other girls to see better tribal manicures lol. Kisses!!

Day 15: 31 Days Nail Challenge - Delicate Print

Hello everyone! :)

When i think of a delicate mani i can't help of thinking about beautiful patterns and creme polishes lol and it's just what i did because i'm without much imagination today lol. Also, the fake nail fall off yesterday lol so here goes my natural nails after filing them a bit to match the table football broken nail lol

Quando penso numa manicure delicada não consigo evitar pensar em padrões intrincados e bonitos e em vernizes cremosos lol e foi exactamente o que fiz porque a minha imaginação hoje decidiu ir passear lol. E para alegrar a festa, a unha falsa caíu ontem lol por isso aqui ficam as minhas unhas naturais depois de limadas para atingir o comprimento da unha partida no jogo de matraquilhos lol

The base polish is Colorama Doce Loucura. I applied two coats of the lovely polish that flares my skin tone :p It has a nice brush and formula. After i painted my ring nail with my most wanted OPI Pirouette My Whistle that possess a transparent base filled with small metallic glitter and big matte white hexs... gorgeous! 

O verniz base é o Colorama Doce Loucura. Apliquei duas camadas deste tom que favorece o meu tom de pele lol e com um pincel e formula decentes :p Depois apliquei no anelar o meu desejado OPI Pirouette My Whistle que é constituído por glitter metálico super fininho e pentágonos brancos matte numa base transparente... lindo!

The delicate pattern was accomplishes with the french design from plate QA13 and Essence Stampy polish white... et voilá! lol

O padrão delicado foi conseguido carimbando o desenho de unha francesa da plaquinha QA13 com o verniz Essence Stampy polish branco... et voilá! lol

I think it looks cute and delicate, small imagination but successfull! lol Now tomorrow's theme is hard... Tribal pattern... Imagination, please come back home!! Kisses!! :)

Penso que ficou muito fofinho e delicado, pouca imaginação mas com sucesso! lol Agora o tema de amanhã é que vai ser difícil... Padrão tribal... Imaginação volta para casa!! Beijinhosss! :)
