MoYou London Stamping Plates: Pro XL 12 & Comics 05

In the last months I think almost everyone got noticed of MoYou London Stamping plates. This UK brand introduced us to a new concept of stamping and new gorgeous images. I don't want to bore you with introductions in this review because you probably have read plenty of them lol :p. I received two stamping plates and did a manicure with each one. They are Pro XL 12 and Comics 05  plates :) 

Penso que quase todo o Universo reconhece as plaquinhas de carimbo da MoYou London. Esta marca do Reino Unido introduziu um novo conceito de carimbo com imagens fantásticas e formato inovador no mercado. Não quero maçar-vos com uma revisão muito exstensa destas plaquinhas porque, muito possivelmente, já leram outras reviews :p. Recebi duas plaquinhas da marca e fiz uma manicure com cada. Foram a Pro XL 12 e a Comics 05 :)

MoYou London has plates to fit everyone's nails, either small or large :) There are plates with small/regular designs with 1.2 x 1.5cm of dimension and XL plates with 1.5 x 2cm. I own the last ones because the smaller don't fit my nails by 2 mm (buahhh no plates with lots of designs for me!). My favorite plates however are the ones with a full design *.* I love them and I feel the need to collect them all! loool. MoYou London also has different sized stampers so that we are able to transfer both sized designs. The designs and deeply carved and stamp greatly! I trust you've seen my previous manicures with some MoYou London plates - do you remember the perfect details? :) I advise this brand if you want to enter the nail stamping nail world; the problem is to pick between more than 150 plates...

Os desenhos das plaquinhas MoYou London cabem em todos os tipos de unhas, desde as pequenas às grandes. Isto porque a marca tem placas com desenho pequenos (1,2 x 1,5 cm) e grandes (XL - 1,5 x 2,0 cm). As minhas são estas últimas porque os desenhos pequenos não me cabem por 2mm (perdi a hipótese de comprar uma placa com mais desenhos que a XL buah!). Mas, as minhas placas favoritas são sem dúvida as que têm um desenho que ocupa toda a placa *_* Gosto tanto que sinto necessidade de ter todas e ainda pendurá-las para as exibir lool! Em geral, todos os desenhos estão profundamente gravados e carimbam maravilhosamente bem. Aliás e nalgumas manicures que fiz anteriormente, o que me surpreendeu mesmo foi como os detalhes ficam perfeitos nas unhas ;) A MoYou London tem e vende diferentes tipos de carimbos para satisfazer as dimensões dos seus desenhos. Caso estejam a entrar no mundo dos carimbos, ou pretendam, esta é uma das marcas que recomendo :) O problema é escolher entre mais de 150 placas...

MoYou London Pro collection is probably my favorite of them all (side by side with the Landscape/Mother Nature collection lol). But, I have favorite plates in all collections because I'm that greedy hahahaha! The MoYou London Pro XL 12 plate is composed of 12 large designs. My favorite is the one in the following manicure. I was craving a tone on tone manicure, so I started with 4 coats of Risqué Azulejo Português (which is gorgeous!!) and stamped with China Glaze 2Nite polish. As you can see, perfect design transfer from plate to nails :)

A colecção MoYou London Pro é possivelmente a minha favorita de todas (a par com a Landscape/Mother Nature :p). Mas, a verdade é que tenho uma (ou mais!) placa favorita em cada colecção porque sou assim tão insaciável hahahaha! A plaquinha MoYou London Pro XL 12 é composta por 12 desenhos. O meu favorito é precisamente o da manicure abaixo. Queria fazer uma manicure tom sobre tom; comecei com quatro camadas do verniz Risqué Azulejo Português (lindíssimo e à venda em qualquer lugar com Risqué em Portugal) e depois carimbei com o verniz China Glaze 2Nite. Como podem ver, a imagem foi transferida impecavelmente da placa para as unhas :)

Now, I went crazy with the MoYou London Comics 05 plate because I l-o-v-e the cute couple!! There was no doubt it would be featured in my first manicure with this plate *_* I started with three coats of the lovely Dance Legend Thermo Trio 01 polish and one of Risqué Star (fine holographic glitter). I picked this Dance Legend on purpose because of the beautiful gradient that changes with temperature.  I stamped different pieces of the design and how did I do that? Basically, I applied the polishes in the plate at my will (flowers vs branches) and when the design was in my stamper, I quickly removed the parts I didn't want in my nails with a q-tip embedded in acetone. Then I stamped my nails. Simple as that :) Sometimes its easier to remove part of the design with a dry q-tip or a finger because acetone smudges the design. Also, you have to act fast or else the design will dry in the stamper. I couldn't stop staring at my nails, specially in water and wind *_* I trust this is one of my best manicures ever hehe :p The polishes used to stamp are Mash Black, Barry M Gold Foil Effects, Mundo de Uñas Brown, Mash Playmate Pink (light pink) and Mash Pinkberry (dark pink). The cute little birds belong to MoYou London Kitty 11 plate :)

Agora, fiquei maluca com a placa MoYou London Comics 05 assim que a vi porque A-M-E-I o casal!! Não houve um pingo de dúvida de que constaria na minha primeira manicure com a dita placa *_* Comecei por pintar as unhas com três camadas do verniz Dance Legend Termo Trio 01 e uma camada do Risqué Star (com glitter holográfico fininho). Escolhi este Dance Legend de propósito pelo seu lindo gradiente que muda constantemente com a temperatura. Carimbei diferentes partes do desenho; e como é que o fiz? Basicamente, apliquei os vernizes nos locais que preferi (por ex: flores vs ramos) e passei tudo para o carimbo; depois, com um cotonete embebido em acetona removi as partes do desenho que não me interessavam e carimbei as unhas. Atenção que às vezes é melhor tirar parte do desenho com um cotonete seco/dedo do que com acetona (porque mancha). Por outro lado, todo este processo tem de ser célere senão correm o risco do desenho secar no carimbo. A verdade é que não parei de mirar as unhas... especialmente ao vento e na água *_* Adoro!! É possivelmente uma as minhas melhores manicures dos últimos tempos hehehe :p Os vernizes usados foram o Mash Black (preto), Barry M Gold Foil Effects (dourado), Mundo de Uñas Brown (castanho), Mash Playmate Pink (rosa claro) e Mash Pinkberry (rosa escuro). Os pequenos (e fofos) pássaros do dedo anelar pertencem à plaqunha MoYou  London Kitty 11 :)

Dance Legend #15 Moondust

Olá meninas! :)

I'm a blue polish lover but for some reason not all blue sand polishes appeal to me. Go figure lol. I did take a chance with Dance Legend Moondust over the Summer because it is a darker shade and didn't match anything in the market. So, why not? Good thing is that I don't regret it! :D

Como sabem, sou uma amante de vernizes azuis. Mas por algum motivo, quase nenhum verniz texturizado azul apelou-me ao coração. Portanto, arrisquei-me no Verão quando comprei o Dance Legend Moondust, porque foi o primeiro na colecção. Escolhi-o por ser um azul escuro e lindo, também não vi nada igual no mercado ;) Ainda bem que acabei por não me arrepender! :D

Its gorgeous! :) But one gets her hopes up looking at the bottle and then the beauty isn't transferred to nails. I'm referring to the purple/golden reflexes I see in the bottle. I'm not that sad because I love how Dance Legend looks in nails. It is a sand textured polish (love the matching gritty lid!) with a blue matte pigment and shiny blue shimmer. Loved the application but didn't like the drying time. It took some time to dry. Now there's something I'm really frustrated which is durability. So, I did this manicure in a Friday (for the entire weekend) and then Saturday as I was dish washing, big pieces of polish started chipping and coming off! Gahhh! My right hand was immediately ruined! Good thing I took the polish with me in case something happened.

Não há dúvidas de que é lindo! :) Mas uma pessoa fica entusiasmada com o que vê no frasco que depois desilude quando não passa para as unhas. Refiro-me aos reflexos roxos/dourados que se nota no frasco nalgumas fotos. Contudo, não desanimei porque adoro como fica nas unhas! É um verniz texturizado com acabamento arenoso (adoro a tampinha a combinar!), com um pigmento azul que fica matte e shimmer azul e brilhante. Gostei da aplicação mas não do tempo de secagem; é lento a secar.  Mas o que realmente fez-me passar dos carretos foi a durablidade... Chicas, pintei as unhas na sexta-feira para o fim de semana todo; ora, no sábado estava a lavar a loiça e eis que o verniz começa a descascar e saem grandes pedaços?? Gahhhhh!!! A mão direita ficou competamente arruinada! O que vale é que tinha levado o verniz comigo por precaução!

Regarding my ring nail art, it is a gradient featuring Jessica Touch It, Zoya Carter and Dance Legend Moondust. I was surprise by how well sand polishes blend :) Then I stamped the flower image from Pueen 49 plate with Barry M Gold Foil Effects. It looks like the flowers are bursting from the cuticles and I love it! *_* 

Relativamente à nail art no dedo anelar, fiz um gradiente com os vernizes Jessica Touch It, Zoya Carter e Dance Legend Moondust. Fiquei bastante surpresa porque os vernizes misturaram bastante bem, mesmo com este acabamento :D Depois carimbei as flores da placa Pueen 49 com o verniz Barry M Gold Foil Effects. Parece que as flores estã a surgir da cutícula e adoro o efeito *_*

Overall, I love the polish but there's many buts lol. Its also hard to get and one needs to struggle in online webstores and face cart jacking to get it. Is it worth it? Thats a discussable subject. I bought mine in the official Dance Legend website, but waited near 3 months for it to arrive (slow Russian mail). I may take my chances in a webstore now lol. Also, Dance Legend keeps releasing new collections... and I'm honestly lost with whats new or not hehehe. Do you own any sand polish from Dance Legend? Does it have the same durability as mine? Did you like this baby? I'm now going to prepare to go to today's Opening Event of Kate's Kare in Lisbon (with Kinetics polishes) and I'll talk to you soon :) Kisses,

No geral, adoro o verniz mas há muitos "mas" lol. Outra questão que vale a pena referir é que esta marca não é fácil de comprar. Uma pessoa precisa sujeitar-se ao stock de lojas online e enfrentar possíveis roubos no carrinho de compra. É um assunto discutivel. Até porque eu comprei os meus directamente no site oficial da marca, mas esperei quase 3 meses que chegassem (porque o correio russo é leeento). Acho que na próxima vez vou-me ficar pelas lojas online lol. Por outro lado, a Dance Legend não pára de lançar novas colecções! Jassuss, tou super confusa com o que é novo ou não O.o. Mas adiante, têm algum verniz sand da Dance Legend? A durabilidade também é péssima? Gostaram deste verniz? StampAholics ST03 plate

Hello gorgeous! :)

Today I bring you my review on the new StampAholics ST03 plate. Just to quickly remind you, this is a new brand in the stamping plates market and it is created by dear Ana from Portugal :) I've previously reviewed ST01 and ST02. Lets take a look:

Hoje trago-vos a minha review da nova plaquinha StampAholics ST03. Recordo-vos que a StampAholics é uma nova marca de plaquinhas de carimbo Portuguesa e criada pela querida Ana :D Anteriormente revi a ST01 e ST02. Vamos espreitar:

Unlike her previous two sisters, ST03 plate doesn't have a specific theme and is focused on full nail designs. I'd call them abstract designs in the sense that they can be suited to everyday and any occasions :) ST03 has the same diameter as her sisters (7cm) and the full nail image has 1.5 cm of width and 2.0 cm length (check the below picture and do measure your nails now ;p ). Its composed of 9 designs, 6 full images and 3 word images. I love them all, but my favorite is "less is more", which is yet to be used lol. I've tried all images in paper swatches and some in nails (pictures below) and found they all transfer very well to nails, given the design engraving depth.

Ao contrário das suas duas irmãs, a placa ST03 não tem um tema específico nos desenhos. Está mais focada em imagens de unha inteira e desenhos abstractos, isto no sentido em que podem ser usados em qualquer ocasião. :) A placa ST03 tem o mesmo diâmetro que as duas anteriores (7 cm). Os desenhos de unha inteira têm 1,5cm de largura e 2cm de comprimento. Toca a pegar numa régua e medir as vossas unhas hehe! A placa é composta por 9 desenhos, sendo 6 de unha inteira e 3 com frases. Gosto muito de todos, mas particularmente do "less is more" que por acaso ainda não usei lol. Experimentei todas as imagens em papel e outras nas unhas (fotos abaixo), sendo que todas transferiram bem e têm uma boa profundidade de gravura. São fáceis de usar :)

On to some manicures! :) There's 4 manicures on this post and I've decided to show swatches of the individual polishes as well for two of them. The first manicure is a quick one over Dance Legend High Voltage, stamped with black polish. Black stamping always goes well with holographic polishes :) The polish used to stamp was Mash Black.

Vamos às manicures! :) Este post contém 4 manicures e decidi também mostrar fotos de dois dos vernizes usados a nível individual. A primeira manicure é muito simples. Carimbei o desenho oval com o verniz Mash Black sobre o verniz Dance Legend High Voltage.

Next we have the blue one, where I started with two coats of Bellaoggi 81 and then stamped two images from ST03 plate with Mash Navy Seal polish. Here you can see how well the words transferred.

De seguida temos a manicure azul. Comecei com duas camadas do verniz Bellaoggi 81 e carimbei duas imagens da plaquinha ST03 com o verniz Mash Navy Seal. Aqui nota-se como as letras transferem bem para a unha.

Now, we have sort of a Fall landscape :p The ST03 plate design reminds me of leaves... so the stamping evolved into this :p The mint base is Barry M Mint Green stamped with Mash Brunswick Green polish. Then, I stamped the trees from winstonia W102 plate with Mundo de Uñas Brown polish and the falling leaves with the Yellow and Orange polishes, also from Mundo de Uñas :)

Temos agora uma espécie de paisagem Outonal :p O desenho da placa ST03 faz-me lembrar folhas, então a modos que o carimbo evoluíu para o que vêm nas fotos :p O verniz base é o Barry M Mint Green, carimbado com o verniz Mash Brunswick Green (verde). Depois carimbei as árvores da placa winstonia W102 com o verniz Brown da marca Mundo de Uñas e as folhas esvoaçantes com os vernizes Orange e Yellow, da mesma marca.

At last, we have the most recent manicure with Mollon Pro 171 Roxane polish. The stamping polish is Barry M Gold Foil Effects, followed by a coat of OPI Matte Top Coat. (be careful to apply a matte top coat after sealing the stamping design with regular shiny top coat, or else it will smudge).

Finalmente temos uma manicure com o verniz Mollon Pro 171 Roxane. Para o carimbo usei o verniz Barry M Gold Foil Nail Effects, seguido de uma camada do top coat OPI Matte. (cuidado quando quiserem matificar uma manicure estampada; apliquem primeiro um top coat normal e depois o matte, senão vão borrar o desenho).

And that's all for now! :) I'm clearly very pleased with all images because I found nothing wrong with them. Sunday Stamping Chalenge: Over a holo base

Hola chicas! :)

Today's AIS challenge theme is "stamping over holographic base". To be honest. I wasn't in the mood to participate today for no good reason. But, looking at my unpublished manicure pictures I realized I could take advantage of the lonely Dance Legend Optical Illusion pictures :p I used this Russian polish more than a month ago without a nail art and today I used it again but with stamping! :D

O tema do desafio do grupo AIS de hoje é "carimbar sobre base holográfica". Sinceramente, estava com pouca vontade de participar hoje e por nenhum motivo em especial. Mas, um segundo olhar sobre as fotos das manicures ainda não publicadas, fez-me mudar de ideias e aproveitar-me das fotos abandonadas do verniz Dance Legend Optical Illusion :p Há mais de um mês que usei este verniz Russo e agora aproveitei para re-usar, mas com carimbo :)

I'm pretty sure everyone already knows this polish in all possible manners lol. It was and still is a hit in the nail world. As of me, I have mixed feelings. You see, Dance Legend Optical Illusion is gorgeous and stunning in the sunlight but quite dull and cold in shadow. I'm not saying I don't like it, on the contrary, but if in shadow the purple was a warm one instead of cold I'd love it more. Regarding application, there's absolutely nothing to complain about because it is perfect :)

Certamente que já quase todas as chicas conhecem este verniz de trás para a fente lol. Foi e ainda é um grande hit no Mundo dos vernizes. Quanto a mim, estou confusa. O verniz Dance Legend Optical Illusion é sem dúvida incrível e super bonito, mas ao sol; já na sombra é baço e perde o tom roxo quente para um roxo frio. Não esotu a dizer que não gosto dele, mas se fosse um roxo quente na sombra eu ficaria ainda mais apaixonada. Relativamente à aplicação, não tenho absolutamente nada a apontar porque ele é perfeito em tudo! :)

Getting back to the challenge, there's not much to say lol. To me and except for some rare occasions, I think every holographic polish goes perfectly well with black stamping. Given this, little though was directed for these nails :p I chose the pattern from winstonia W113 plate and stamped it with the black Yes Love 346 polish.

Voltando ao desafio, não há muito a dizer lol. Para mim e salvo raras excepções, todos os holográficos combinam maravilhosamente bem com carimbo preto. Posto isto, nem pensei muito para estas unhas :p Escolhi o padrão da placa winstonia W113 e carimbei com o verniz preto Yes Love 346.

Mollon Pro 149 Oludeniz & Nautical nail art

Hola guapas! :)

Today I'm reviewing Mollon Pro 149 Oludeniz, a polish that is part of the new Mollon Pro Sand collection with ten polishes named after beaches :) Oludeniz Beach (or dead sea) is in Turkey and my Turkish friend Aylin says it is a gorgeous beach. If pictures do it justice, I want to go there! Actually, I want to go and personally meet all friends I have worldwide *.*. Who knows, maybe one day I win the lottery hahaha.

Hoje vou rever o verniz Mollon Pro 140 Oludeniz, um dos 10 vernizes que constituem a nova colecção Mollon Pro Sand cujos nomes foram atribuídos segundo praias. A prai Oludeniz (ou mar morto) está localizada na Turquia e a minha amiga turca, a Aylin, diz que a praia é um sonho de linda! Se as fotos fazem justiça... eu quero visitar! Na verdade, gostava de visitar todas as amigas que tenho espalahadas pelo globo (valha-me o Euromilhões loool). 

I don't have/had many blue sand polishes in my collection. Somehow none ever pleased me in pictures. But recently I got 3 and Mollon Pro Oludeniz is one of them. And you know what? I love it!! Its not only the shade of blue that won my heart, but most specially the blue shimmer in it! The blue pigment of Oludeniz dries almost matte while the darker blue shimmer (or does it have a touch of teal?) gets more vibrant. I said the polish dries matte, however, there's space between the sand particles that make Oludeniz shine in the sun. It isn't a gritty finish like Kiko polishes, who have less space between sand particles. However, the distance between particles isn't huge enough for me to consider the leather finish instead of sand one. Regarding application, it was as easy with Mollon Pro Playa de Aucanada in terms of not smudging cuticles and the flat Mollon brush also allows perfect cuticle outline. I love it! :p Drying time is around five minutes.

Não tenho (tinha) muitos vernizes azuis com acabamento arenoso na colecção; por algum motivo, nunca gostei muito das fotos que vi de vários meninos. Mas recentemente comprei 2 e recebi o Mollon Pro Oludeniz. E querem saber uma coisa? Apaixonei-me! lol -.-'. O tom azul, mais especialmente o shimmer azul um tom mais escuro conquistou-me imediatamente. O pigmento arenoso do verniz Mollon Pro Oludeniz seca quase matte, evidenciando o shimmer/brilho azul :) Eu disse que o verniz seca matte, mas o espaço entre as partículas arenosas é largo e por isso o verniz brilha ao sol. O Mollon Pro Oludeniz não é tão arenoso quanto os Kikos por ex., cuja distância entre as partículas arenosas é menor. Contudo, a distância destas partículas no Mollon não é suficientemente grande para considerar o acabamento cabedal em vez de arenoso. É um meio termo. Quanto à aplicação, esta foi bastante simpática sem atingir as cutículas tal como o Mollon Pro Playa de Aucanada; o pincel achatado que adoro ajuda a desenhar o contorno das cutículas sem problemas. Adoro! :p O tempo de secagem ronda os cinco minutos.

I couldn't resist making a nautical nail art because Mollon Pro Oludeniz shade makes me want to go to the beach :p. So, I picked my Dance Legend Moondust and using a tape I did the pinky and point fingers. I won't say much about DL Moondust (besides it is gorgeous!) because I intend on using it soon :) If there's something I learned is that studs don't do well with sand finishes... and hence my trick was to apply superglue in it and then place the star stud from BPS Store nail wheel instead of placing it while the polish was wet. It worked xD

Bem... o verniz não vos lembra praia (Oh mar morto como te quero visitar!)? Pois, tá claro que não resisti fazer esta nail art náutica lol. Usei fita cola e o Dance Legend Moondust para fazer as listras no dedo mindinho e indicador. Não me vou debruçar sobre o DL Moondust (oh beleza!!) porque pretendo usá-lo num futuro breve :) Se há coisa que aprendi com a junção de studs e vernizes texturizados é que a relação não funciona durante muito tempo. O meu truque para ultrapassar isto foi aplicar cola tudo (das lojas chinequesas) no stud estrela da rodinha da loja BPS e colocar na unha, ao invés de colocar o stud sobre o verniz ainda molhado :p
