Layla CE53 & Negative Space Stamping Nail Art

Hola guapas! :)

I'm sorry for my absence on the last week, I needed a litle break ;) I went through 9 books in 8 days... I'm that crazy sometimes! lol However, I also managed to paint my nails (of course!) and did the last AIS stamping challenge. The last Sunday theme was negative stamping. I have done a couple of negative space stamping manicures in the past months so I was pleased with this theme. 

Peço desculpa pela minha ausência nos últimos dias; precisava de uma pequena pausa ;) E porque eu às vezes sou maluca, li 9 livros nos últimos 8 dias.. hehe. Contudo, óbvio que pintei as unhas e inclusive fiz o desafio do grupo AIS de Domingo passado. O tema foi negative space stamping, ou seja, carimbo negativo. Fiz algumas manicures nos últimos meses com este tema, de modo que estava bastante confortável :p

For this manicure, I picked a lovely red polish with flakies - Layla CE 53, which I received in my birthday two years ago from dear Dulce :) I have used it before, but never posted it. So - how did I achieve this result? First, I stamped the flowery image from Sugar Bubbles SB016 plate with Dashica Black polish and top coated it with Seche Vite. When the top coat was dry, I placed mini straight nail vinyls. Then applied Kinetics KP234 Red Gown followed by Layla CE53, removing the vinyls a nail at a time. Finally because flakies look best matte in my opinion, I finished with a coat of OPI Matte Top Coat :)

Escolhi um verniz vermelho jelly repleto de flocos para esta manicure chamado Layla CE 53. Este foi um presente de aniversário da querida Dulce *-* Já o usei antes, mas não cheguei a publicar em detalhe :p. Mas, como é que fiz a manicure de hoje? Então, primeiro comecei por carimbar o desenho florido da placa Sugar Bubbles SB016 com o verniz Dashica Black e apliquei top coat Seche Vite. Quando o último secou, posicionei mini nail vinyls horizontais em cada unha. De seguida apliquei o verniz Kinetics KP234 Red Gown e Layla CE53, removendo os nails vinyls unha a unha. Por fim apliquei top coat matte :)

I won't deny I loved the bright red version, but the muticolored flakies aren't that noticeable. I also like this version :) What about you? Kisses and have a great Sunday! :)

Não vou negar que a versão glossy é apelativa, o problema é que os flocos multicoloridos não se destacam muito. Mas gosto bastante desta versão também. E vocês? Em Portugal encontram os vernizes Layla Italianos em vários locais, como por ex. na Carlos Santos e Pluricosmética. Beijinhos :)

Merry Christmas 2014 - Christmas Ornaments Nail Art

Hi guys!! :)

Merry Christmas everyone!!! :D I hope you had a great, lovely day full of presents and warmth :)) Today I bring you my Christmas nails and I want this to be a quick post hehe.

Feliz Natal para todosss!! :D Espero que tenham tido uma consoada maravilhosa, cheia de presentes e muito calor :)) Hoje quero mostrar-vos a minha manicure de Natal hehe.

I started by painting four coats of Essie She Said Yes and then a coat of Penélope Luz Midas (love those gold flakes!). Then, I made stamping decals out of the Christmas ornaments from Winstonia Merry X'mas plate. In my ring finger I did a Christmas tree using Jessica Touch It and straight nail vinyls (you can also use nail tape). I don't own gold studs, so I painted a silver one and placed it on top of the tree using nail glue :)

Não me quero alongar muito, por isso vamos aos detalhes! Pintei as unhas com quatro camadas do verniz Essie She Said Yes e depois uma camada do verniz Penélope Luz Midas (flocos dourados lindos!). Fiz adesivos de carimbos de ornamentos de Natal a partir da placa winstonia Merry X'mas e no anelar, com ajuda de Nail Vinyls horizontais (podia ter usado fita de nail art), fiz uma árvore de Natal com o verniz Jessica Touch It :) Por fim, pintei uma estrela de dourado e coloquei na unha com cola de unhas.

Étude House PHW 902 & Fall Nail Art

Hello gorgeous! :)

Quick post today as I'm going out in a bit :) Today's manicure was born after Camila challenged me to wear a wine nail polish. I was like "ok, sure!" but then I looked at my stash... oh gosh, how the hell do I own a single creme wine polish?? I do like the color very much! Now you know what to get me for Christmas! ;) hahaha

Para hoje temos um post rápido porque vou sair daqui a nada e estou a escrever à pressa heheheh :p Na semana passada a Camila desafiou-me a usar verniz vinho... e eu pensei "ok, é para já!". Mas assim que abri as gavetas do Alex... ou não! como é que só tenho um verniz vinho cremoso nesta colecção inteira?? Pois! Agora já sabem o que me oferecer no Natal! hahahaha

My lonely creme wine polish is Purple Professional 8 Cherrie Pie. After applying two coats (formula is still great after two years!) I had to take this chance to wear Étude House PHW 902 who has been patiently waiting for it's time to shine :p This Étude House has multi colored flakies (mainly orange & green) in a transparent base, but it isn't packed as much as I hoped hence I applied two coats. The flakies & wine combination was inspired by Eva :) As for the nail art, I quickly stamped the leafs pattern from lesly LS-22 plate with Orly Voyeuristic Adventure and finally finished with a coat of Mollon Pro Top Coat Matt.

O verniz vinho solitário é o Purple Professional 8 Cherrie Pie. Apliquei duas camadas (a formula continua excelente depois de dois anos aberto!). Aproveitei então para usar o verniz Étude House PHW 902 (frasquinho fofo!) que há muito aguardava pacientemente as luzes da ribalta. Este verniz é constituído por flocos de várias cores (maioritariamente laranja e verde) numa base transparente: contudo não é um acabamento flocado carregado como eu gostaria pelo que apliquei duas camadas. Na verdade, a combinação de vinho com flocos veio desta bela manicure que a Eva fez, caso contrário a base seria preto ou azul escuro segundo os meus testes :) Relativamente à nail art Outonal, carimbei o padrão de folhas da placa Lesly LS-22 com o verniz Orly Voyeuristic Adventure e terminei matificando tudo com o verniz Mollon Pro Top Coat Matt.

I really loved the outcome! *-* Now, I only used this manicure for two days, but it never chipped in that time. What are your favorite wine polishes?? I must get a couple more, how amazing it is that I only own one?? Kisses and have a great kick start of the weekend!

Peggy Sage Tulipe Glitter

Olá meninas :)

Sometimes you personally see and love a polish but for a reason or another one you don't get it and later regret it lol.  That's what happened to me with this polish, Peggy Sage Tulipe Glitter. I was faced with it in last years expocosmetics and while some of my friends got it, I didn't because we arrived late at Peggy Sage and I with an empty wallet. Meantime I drooled every time I saw it online and a month ago I finally got the chance to buy it from Bárbara's blogsale :)))

Por vezes há vernizes que pessoalmente adoramos e que por um motivo ou outro acabamos por não comprar e mais tarde lamentar. Foi o que me sucedeu com este verniz, o Peggy Sage Tulipe Glitter. Deparei-me com ele na Expocosmética do ano passado e enquanto algumas amigas o trouxeram eu fiquei a namorar e não comprei porque chegamos ao stand da Peggy Sage com a minha carteira falecida lol. Matutei cada vez que o vi nos blogs... e comprei-o há cerca de um mês no blogsale da Bárbara Betty :))

It's gorgeous but a pain in the ass to photograph! I took more than 100 photos and my camera never focused on it alone... but after stamping it focused very well, go figure O.O. Peggy Sage Tulipe Glitter has a dark wine jelly base filled with multi colores flakies (not glitter as the name implies) in purple, green, pink, red and silver. I needed three coats to cover my nails and it applies nicely :) I love it a lot, specially how a flash of color from the flakies looks against the dar wine base *.* The next two pics are what I managed to save from the 100 I took...

É lindíssimo mas mega difícil de fotogrfar! Tirei mais de 100 fotos e a minha câmara nunca focou com o verniz sozinho... mas depois de carimbar focou bem, não percebo O.O. O Peggy Sage Tulipe Glitter tem uma base jelly vinho cheia de flocos multicoloridos (não glitters como o nome sugere) em verde, roxo, rosa, vermelho e prata. Precisei de três camadas para cobrir as unhas e aplica-se bem :) Gosto muito dele, especialmente do contraste entre as diversas cores dos flocos com a base vinho *.* As duas fotos seguintes foi o que consegui salvar das cerca de 100 que tirei...

I used Tulipe Glitter alone for two days and then spiced it uo with a bit of nail art. I stamped with La Femme Branco this image from m66 plate. See how my camera focus better now? I loved this combination!

Usei o Tulipe Glitter sozinho por dois dias, findos os quais decidi carimbar. Usei o verniz La Femme Branco e o desenho da plaquinha m66. Vêm como a minha câmara focou melhor depois de carimbado? Adorei esta combinação!

By chance I have an available Peggy Sage Tulipe Glitter available on my blogsale because it came after I bought my own. So, and if you like this one, go ahead and buy it :p Last weekend at expocosmetics I grabed a bottle and was pretty happy I had my own at home! Muahaha! Kisses :)

Por sorte do destino tenho um exemplar do Peggy Sage Tulipe Glitter à venda no meu blogsale, que surgiu depois de eu ter comprado o meu, por isso e se gostaram deste lindo tanto quanto eu comprem-no! :p No fim de semana na expocomética agarrei-me a um frasquinho e fiquei muito feliz por ter o meu próprio em casa! Kinetics KP 116 Sinful & Penélope Luz Midas

Ciao a tutte! :)

One of the reasons why I jumped into Kinetics buy 3, pay 2 polishes promotion (ended last month) was because I fell in love with Kinetics Sinful in Rosana's nails (well, in her nails, everything's perfect lol). So, it had to be mine :) It is also a perfect base for Penélope Luz Midas, my first and so far only gold flakies top coat *.*

Umas razões porque não pensei duas vezes em aproveitar a promoção da Kinetics de comprar 3 vernizes e pagar 2 (terminou no mês passado) foi porque me apaixonei pelo Kinetics Sinful nas unhas da Rosana (naquelas unhas o que é que fica mal? lol). Então, tinha de ser meu :) Foi também uma boa base para o Penélope Luz Midas, o meu primeiro e único top coat de ouro *.*

Kinetics Sinful is indeed a sinful and sexy dark navy blue color with a creme finish. I was actually expecting it to be a bit more ligh blue, like in the bottle. Formula wise, application is a little tricky because the formula is a bit thick but manageable and only two coats is necessary. It dries fast and with a huge shine, just like all Kinetics polishes I own ;)

O Kinetics Sinful tem sem dúvida uma cor pecaminosa sexy, num tom azul escuro navy com acabamento cremoso. Na verdade não esperava que a cor nas unhas resultasse mais escuro que no frasco, gostava que fosse tal e qual o frasco. Quanto à formula, a aplicação foi ligeiramente complicada porque a formula é um pouco espessa, mas controlável e foram necessárias só duas camadas para cobrir as unhas. Seca rápido e com um brilho excelente, tal como todos os Kinetics que possuo :)

In some lights, Kinetics Sinful looks almost black and I didn't like that. Penélope Luz Midas looked like the perfect match and I didn't hesitate lol. Ohh how I wanted Midas in my life...! It has gold leafs (with some percentage of real gold according to the indie producer) crashed into flakies in a clear base. I love it! *.* I surely am going to combine it with more colors :p Application went very smooth as well as drying time. Pictures show a single coat of Midas and a coat of Kinetics Kwik Kote top coat to make the flakies softly adhere to the nail surface. *.*

Sob algumas iluminações o Kinetics Sinful parece quase preto e não gostei disto. O Midas da Penélope Luz pareceu-me o par perfeito para o Sinful e não hesitei lol. Vocês não têm noção do quanto desejei este verniz...! O Midas possui folhas de ouro trituradas (segunda a produtora, com uma alguma percentagem de ouro verdadeiro) resultando em pequenos flocos numa base transparente. Adoro-o! *.* Certamente que vou usar mais vezes sobre outras cores :p A aplicação foi óptima, tal como o tempo de secagem. As fotos mostram uma única camada do Midas e uma do Kinetics Kwik Kote; usei o top coat para aumentar a adesão dos flocos de ouro ao verniz base *.*

I love this combo, a piece of gold to glamour my nails lol! My first bottle of Midas had a plain accident and so I had to wait until getting this one. Penélope was really nice and understanding with the problem, quickly replacing the damaged bottle :) Happy to own it! Now I don't need to drool every time I see OPI Golden Gun and other similar gold top coats hihi. What do you all think? Like it or not? Kisses :)

Adorei esta combinação, um toque de ouro para glamourizar as minha unhas lol! O meu primeiro frasquinho do Midas teve um acidente de avião, por isso tive que esperar para ter este exemplar. A Penélope foi muito compreensiva e querida com a situação, sendo que ofereceu-se imediatamente para enviar um novo frasquinho :) Estou feliz por o ter! Agora já não preciso babar-me nas fotos do OPI Golden Gun ou topc coats de ouro similares por esse Mundo fora hihi! O que acharam desta combinação? Gostam ou nem por isso? Beijinhos :)

Sunday Stamping Challenge: Stamping & Dots

Howdy! :)

Hope you're having a good Sunday :) I can't believe mine is almost over... Todays Stamping Challenge theme over at AIS group is Stamping & Dots. We already had something similar a few months ago but it didn't go well on me lol. I think I did a better mani this time with my Luxurious Peacock ;)

Espero que estejam a ter um óptimo Domingo :) Eu mal consigo acreditar que o meu está a terminar... O desafio de hoje do grupo AIS tem como tema "Carimbar & Fazer bolinhas" (devia haver uma melhor tradução para dotting!). Já antes fizemos algo similar, mas não me correu lá muito bem lol. Acho que esta manicure de Pavão luxuoso ficou melhor ;)

I was in a hurry yesterday and decided to paint my nails with Zoya Ziv before going out. It did not let me down, dried very fast, great formula covering my nails in two easy coats. I love it! Zoya Ziv from the Zoya Ornate 2012 collection is just my kind of gold :) Ziv in as intriguing color because it almost looks like a foil finish, but i believe it has gold shimmer and small gold flakies. I love these flakies, they give a touch of elegance that I adore, I felt like having a jewel in my nail haha :p

Estava com pressa ontem e pintei as unhas com o Zoya Ziv antes de sair. Ele não desapontou minimamente, secou bem rápido, tem uma formula excelente e cobriu as minhas unhas com duas camadas. Adoro-o! O Zoya Ziv da colecção Zoya Ornate 2012 tem o tom dourado ideal para mim e que mais gosto de me ver com :) É uma cor intrigante porque parece ter um acabamento foil, mas na verdade parece-me ser shimmer dourado com pequeníssimos flocos dourados. Adoro estes flocos, dão um belo toque de elegância que gostei muito; senti que estava a usar uma jóia nas unhas hehe :p

Then, back at home I searched my plates and settled for the first idea I had: to stamp a peacock lol. I really like the final result and luxurious look *.* I stamped using Mash special Black polish the peacock image from BM 212 plate. The challenge is about stamping and dotting, which I did using a dotting tool from Born Pretty Store to fill in the peacock feather with Mollon Pro Nº 100 polish :) I love it!

De regresso a casa, procurei as minhas plaquinhas e optei logo pela primeira ideia que tive: carimbar um pavão lol. Gostei bastante do resultado final e do look luxuoso *.* Carimbei com o verniz especial MASH Black as penas de pavão da plaquinha BM 212. Este desafio trata-se de carimbar e fazer bolinhas, então fi-las para preencher o desenho com o pontilhador que comprei na Loja Born Pretty e utilizando o verniz Mollon Pro Nº100 :) Adoro!

Last couple of weeks I didn't participate in this challenge, both because I was sick and had no ideas (nor the patience to think in them I admit). I felt like cheating. AIS group has grown so much since I was I joined in January last year and it's amazing to share the stamping love with so many people! :) Hope you liked my Luxurious Peacock because I did ;) Kisses

Nas últimas duas semanas não participei neste desafio,  porque estava doente e não tive ideias (nem paciência de pensar nelas, admito). Senti que estava a trapacear. O grupo AIS cresceu imenso desde que entrei em Janeiro do ano passado e é espectacular partilhar o amor por carimbar com tantas pessoas! :) Espero que tenham gostado do meu Pavão Luxuoso porque eu sim ;) Beijinhos

OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service

Hello gorgeous :)

First there was Zoya Feifei... then there was OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service, an exact dupe of Zoya. I drooled so much over this color that as soon as I got the chance I grabed OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service just in time to watch the premiere of Skyfall here in Portugal lol. Oh yes, it's been two/three months that I've held pictures of this polish lol and that's because ever since i saw the beggining of Skyfall I wanted to do a special nail art... but you see, the time to do it never came so here it is :p

Primeiro surgiu o Zoya Feifei... depois o OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service, um dupe exacto do Zoya. Babei tanto nesta cor que assim que surgiu a oportunidade, comprei o OPI On Her majesty's Secret Service, mesmo a tempo da estreia de Skyfall em Portugal lol! Ah pois, tem cerca de dois/três meses que guardo as fotos deste verniz lol e tal deve-se ao facto de desde que vi a introdução do filme desejar fazer uma nail art específica... Mas, enfim, o tempo nunca surgiu portanto aqui está este OPI :p

Weather was against me and photos in those two days I wore OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service, so I never could really show you the depth of the polish. It's a polish full of colored glass flecks in gold, green, pink, purple and blue in a blue/grey base. I quite love it! *.* Can't decide if the base is blueish or greyish lol. But opposite at to what I was expecting form OPI I needed 3 coats of On Her majesty's Secret Service and in both the first coats there was bald spots; it all got even out with the third coat. The shine... well, its amazing! You can't imagine how it claimed for attention in the movie lights :D I finished with a coat of Kinetics Kwik Kote top coat.

O tempo estava contra mim e as foto em ambos os dias que usei o OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service, por isso não vos consigo mostrar bem a sua profundidade.  É um verniz cheio de glass flecks multi-coloridos, em dourado, verde, rosa, roxo e azul numa base azul/cinzenta. Adoro!! *.* Não me consigo decidir se a base é azul acinzentada ou cinza azulada lol. Mas ao contrário do que esperava da OPI, precisei de 3 camadas em que as duas primeiras arrastaram, mas tudo ficou perfeito com a terceira camada. O brilho... bem, o brilho é espectacular, especialmente sob as luzes do cinema! *.* Terminei com uma camada do top coat Kinetics Kwik Kote.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service is gorgeous! Lemming satisfied! lool Actually I think this entire OPI Skyfall James Bond 007 collection is pretty amazing! I don't own any more colors but believe me I would if I could... love the names and the colors! :p What do you think? Would you wear a shade like this? Kisses***

Essence Jacob's Protection

Hello girls :)

This is the end. The end of all Essence polish collections dedicated to Twilight and i think i can say there has been amazing polishes in them! I don't own all and there's a few i'm still looking for eh eh. Today i bring you the beautiful Essence Jacob's Protection from Essence Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 collection, a collection that i think represents very well the end with their perfect and fitting names, as well as dark background :)

Este é o fim. O fim de todas as colecções de vernizes da Essence dedicadas à saga Twilight e posso dizer que existiram vernizes maravilhosos entre elas! Não os tenho a todos e ainda procuro por algumas cores lol. Hoje trago-vos o lindo Essence Jacob's Protection da colecção Essence Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2, uma colecção que penso representar bem o final com estes nomes perfeitos e adequados, além dos tons com fundo escuro :)

I must say the first coat of Jacob's Protection scared me... the formula is thick, hard to apply and drags; the large and wide brush doesn't help the aplication and it was very sheer. In the second coat all this goes away (except the thickness) and blue heaven comes to my nails! lol Jacob's Protection has a sheer black base filled with gorgeous blue, green and ocasionaly purple flecks :) All together in the nail becomes a lovely dark navy blue color as the outstanding ain color. Well, due to the thick formula at least this polish dries fast and doesn't flood the cuticles ;) It looks a bit dull in the nail compared to the bottle and i finished with a coat of Extra Brilho Ideal top coat since i didn't like the polish shine and wanted more :p

Confesso que a primeira camada do Jacob's Protection assustou-me.. a formula é muito espessa, difícil de aplicar e arrasta; o pincel largo não ajuda na aplicação e é bastante fluido. Mas na segunda camada tudo isto evapora (excepto a espessura) e um azul maravilhoso nasce nas minhas unhas! lol O Jacob's Protection tem uma fundo preto carregado de flocos azuis, verdes e ocasionalmente roxos. Tudo junto resulta na cor azul escuro navy linda! Devido à grossura da formula este verniz seca bem rápido e não escorre para as cutículas ;) Ficou um pouco mais escuro nas unhas do que no frasquinho e terminei com uma camada do top coat Extra Brilho da Ideal porque não gostei do brilho do verniz :p

As duas próximas fotos foram tiradas na luz do pôr do sol porque gostei muito do tom do verniz nas minhas unhas ;)

Jacob's Protection was the one that caught most of my attention from this collection! I love it, i love the blue color and i love the flecks! :D I think someone from Essence has a preference for Jacob because Edward's Love polish is so dull compared to Jacob and Alice.. ugh! And he's my favorite book character... I read the books before all this twiligh craziness and personally i don't really love Robert Pattinson as Edward because i imagined something entirely different in my head. What do you guys think? Will you buy it? Kisses!

O Jacob's Protection foi o que mais suscitou a minha atenção desta colecção da Essence! Adoro-o, adoro a cor azul e adoro os flocos! :D Penso que alguém da Essence tem preferência pelo Jacob porque o verniz Edward's Love é banal comparado com o Jacob lol... O Edward é a minha personagem preferida dos livros... Eu li os livros antes de toda a loucura à Volta do Twilight e pessoalmente não gosto muito do Robert Pattinson como Edward porque imaginei algo completamente diferente na minha cabecinha. Em Portugal esta colecção vai estar disponível em breve nas lojas Wells e Beauty in a Box por 2.49€ cada um, sendo que já se encontra disponível nas lojas Fun Fashion. O que pensam meninas, gostaram? Zoya Daul

Salut Mademoiselles :)

When Zoya released its Fall Collection i pretty much went crazy with three polishes eh eh. One of them was Zoya Feifei. Unfortunately when i got the chance to get them Fei Fei wasn't available so i decided to get his closer brother: Zoya Daul. I'm so happy i got it, i realized i love it! lool

Quando a Zoya lançou a sua colecção de Outono eu basicamente fiquei maluca com três cores eh eh. Uma delas foi o Zoya Feifei. Infelizmente quando surgiu a oportunidade de os comprar o Feifei não estava disponível... então optei por comprar o seu irmão gémeo falso lol: Zoya Daul. Uff ainda bem que o fiz porque fiquei a adorá-lo assim que o vi :)

Zoya Daul has a purple jelly base filled with golden flakes... sometimes i think it's shimmer too lol, it's very pretty :). It isn't very pigmented and i needed three coats to get full nail coverage. I used it in a rainy and in a sunny day. In the sun i realized i needed more coats because i was able to see my white line and also that i needed sunglasses! lool the shine is amazing! Very reflective. I was glad it laste long and the "shade" came to rescue me lol :) It dries fast and didn't flood my cuticles.

O verniz Zoya Daul tem uma base roxa jelly preenchido com flakes dourados... por vezes também me parece shimmer lol, é muito bonito :). Não é pigmentado pois precisou de três camadas para cobrir as unhas. Usei num dia chuvoso e num dia solarengo e então apercebi-me que ele precisa de mais camadas (consegui ver a linha branca da unha) e de óculos porque ele brilha que é um loucura, até fere a vista lol. Mas o sol não durou muito e pude logo desfrutar dele na "sombra", onde ele é mais bonito :) Secou rápido e não escorreu para as cutículas.
