Review: Kinetics KP112 Top Of The Wave

How is your Saturday going on? Mine is ok, just a bit sick. During my time at the busy Kinetics Stand in Expocosmetics, I managed to pick a color by impulse. I looked at it and though it was cute and then I got into conversation with somebody leaving me no time to think of what I just had grabbed lol. The polish was Kinetics Top Of The Wave.

Como vai o vosso Sábado? O meu vai bem, mas tou um pouco doente. Durante a minha passagem pelo ocupado stand da kinetics na Expocosmética, consegui escolher um cor por impulso que me pareceu muito bonita. Mas fui logo chamada para outra conversa com as ladies e fiquei sem tempo de repensar a minha escolha lol. O dito verniz foi o Kinetics Top OfThe Wave.

I don't know to which collection Top of The Wave belongs to but I have polishes with numbers 100 times ahead of it from Kinetics. Also, the cap of this polish doesn't have the "K" engraved as the most recent bottles do. Kinetics Top of The Wave was (as all Kinetics polishes are) easy to apply. Formula is fluid and flows so well on the nail. It needs only two coats and dries quite fast with a gorgeous gelish shine :) But, I'm not sure what color this is... either a water green or ligth turquoise color. Either way, it does remind of the Ocean and I love it! :)

Não sei a que colecção pertence o verniz Kinetics Top of The Wave, mas sei que a marca encontra-se cerca de 100 vezes à frente da sua numeração (isto de acordo com os vernizes que tenho). Por outro lado, a tampinha do Top Of The Wave não tem o "K" gravado como os que tenho. Este verniz foi tão fácil de aplicar quanto todos os outros; a Kinetics tem uma excelente qualidade. A formula é algo fluida e por isso flui perfeitamente na unha. Precisou de duas camadas e secou rápido com um brilho quase gel, deslumbrante :) Só não tenho a certeza da cor... se é um tom verde água ou turquesa claro lol. Seja como for, lembra-me o Oceano e eu adoro-o! :)

In my ring finger I applied three coats of Finaflor Lua, an holographic glitter polish. I love it too! :p I stamped the cute bow from plate GA7 using Layla Metal Chrome. Overall, this look is perfect for summer and to go in a trip in my opinion, because it loos very freshh. I loved it! What about you? Kisses and see you soon :) 

No anelar apliquei três camadas do verniz Finaflor Lua, que é um glitter holográfico que adoro! :p Carimbei o lacinho fofo da plaquinha GA7 com o verniz Layla Metal Chrome no dedo do meio. No geral amei este look porque acho-o perfeito para o Verão ou para uma viagem :) Tive uma sensação de frescura quando olhava para as unhas. Adorei! E vocês?? Beijinhos e até breve :)

Sunday Stamping Challenge: Spring

Good afternoon :)

This weeks Sunday Stamping Challenge theme is something I really like, Spring! It's easy to come up with loads of manciure appropriate for this sweet theme :) I decided to do a Spring gradient and then stamp flowers because that's what Spring means to me, sunshine and flowers :) Lets take a look

O tema desta semana do desafio do grupo de facebook AIS é algo que gosto muito, a Primavera! É-me fácil pensar em diversas manicures que se adequam ao tema :) Optei por fazer um gradiente Primaveril e depois carimbei flores porque é isso que a Primavera representa para mim, sol e flores :) Vamos ver

I think it came out sweet but maybe I should have chosen another flowery pattern with more visible flowers. Anyway, base colors are Purple Professional Nº66 (reviewed here yesterday), Essence Free Hugs and Elixir Nº48 and I choose them in a pattern imitating the colors of a flower - yellow, pink and green :p On top I stamped the image from Gals GA 47 plate with La Femme Branco polish and finished with Color Club top coat.

Acho que ficou muito fofo mas talvez devesse ter usado um padrão com mais flores. As cores base são o Purple Profesional Nº66 (que revi aqui ontem), o Essence Free Hugs e o Elixir Nº48. Escolhi estas cores sob a lógica de imitar uma flor desde o centro para o exterior - amarelo, rosa e verde :p  Sobre tudo carimbei a imagem da plaquinha Gals GA 47 com o venriz La Femme Branco e terminei com o top coat da Color Club.

Colors blended well and made a rainbow in my nails lol because from their mixture resulted purple and orange, nice! Here's a couple pictures of the gradient alone without the stamping. I had to sponge the gradient three times because the green Elixir polish was a bit thin. Do you like this verion better or the stamping one?

As cores misturaram-se bem e criaram um arco-íris porque da sua mistura resultou roxo e laranja, interessante! De seguida mostro-vos algumas fotos do gradiente sem o carimbo. Tive que esponjar três vezes porque o Elixir verde era um tanto fluido. Gostam mais desta versão ou da carimbada?

I loved this stamping manicure because it's cheerful and happy, just like Spring is supposed to be. I'm sad to remove it today, but tomorrow I can't wear anything fancy in my nails lol. Did you like the overall look? Kisses and see you tomorrow :)

Adorei esta manicure carimbada porque é alegre e transmite-me boas vibrações, tal como a Primavera o faz. Estou até triste por remover a manicure hoje, mas amanhã não posso ter nada ousado nas unhas lol. Gostaram do look geral? Beijinhos e até manhã :)

Dote Sexy

Hello ladies :)

The weather is still as bad around here an in all the North Hemisphere :s But that doesn't stop me from feeling the Spring spirit and using flowers in my nails ;) The star of this post is Dote Sexy, a suprise gift from Marcia Lima and I love it, it's a stunning color!

O tempo ainda continua péssimo por cá, tak como por todo o Hemisfério Norte :s Mas tal não me impede de sentir o espírito Primaveril e usar flores nas unhas :) A estrela deste post é o Dote Sexy, uma surpresa da Márcia Lima que adorei, tem uma cor fabulosa!

Sexy indeed! It's hard to describe this color... it's either a magenta leaning pink or a pink leaning magenta lol. Either way, it's absolutely gorgeous!! Believe me I felt sexy and powerfull with it in my nails *.* Dote Sexy is a Neon finish polish, hence this shine doesn't belong to it because it dries in a rubber finish. I added Seche Vite top coat because I don't like the rubber finish and I prefer it glossy much better :) Application went ok with a little thick but manageable formula. I only needed two coats :)

Sem dúvida que é sexy!! É-me difícil definir a cor... é tanto um magenta inclinado para o rosa ou um rosa inclinado para o magenta lol. Seja como for, não tenham dúvidas de que me senti sexy e poderosa com este lindão!! *.* O Dote Sexy é um verniz Neon e como tal tem um acabamento tipo borracha. Eu pessoalmente não gosto desse acabamento, então apliquei uma camada de Seche Vite e gosto muito mais do brilho :) A aplicação foi pacífica apesar da formula ser um pouco espessa, mas manuseável. Duas camadas foram o necessário para cobrir as unhas :)

Dote Sexy lasted alone in my nails for two days, after which I was needing some nail art lol. I decided to give it some sparkle with a coat of Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor and then stamped these big flowers from Gals GA 31 plate with MASH Black polish :) 

O Dote Sexy durou sozinho dois dias nas minhas unhas, findos os quais tive que fazer uma nail art lol. Decidi dar-lhe mais algum brilho com uma camada do Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor e depois carimbei estas flores da plaquinha Gals GA 31 com o verniz MASH Black :)

Loved it! Dote Sexy gets kind of lost personally with Pearl Harbor and the flowers in top, I could only see the beautiful color with strong direct light. But it was worth it :) In Portugal the most similar color to Dote Sexy, as far as my collection says, is Yes Love K039 and when I get my Illamasqua Obsess I intend on comparing all :) I really hope you get a color like this in your life, it will make you feel powerfull ;) Hope you liked my nail art too and kisses :)

Adorei!!! O Dote Sexy fica a modos que perdido pessoalmente com o Pearl Harbor e as flores por cima; só com luzes fortes e directas é que consegui vislumbrar a linda cor, mas valeu a pena :) Em Portugal, o verniz mais similar com o Sexy, segundo a minha colecção, é o Yes Love K39. Quando receber o meu Illamasqua Obsess pretendo comparar estes todos :) Recomendo que todas as mulheres tenham uma cor assim na sua colecção porque, efectivamente, vão-se sentir poderosas quando a usarem :) Espero que tenham gostado da nail art e beijinhos :)

Passe Nati Olho Turco

Hola chicas :)

Happy Weekend! :) When I chose my favorite polishes of 2012 one of them was Passe Nati Olho Turco and I never had used it until now (not cheating!). If I was mesmerized at the color in the bottle imagine in my nails, love it! I'm lucky to have it due to my friend Lari, because knowing of my blue polish love she introduced me to Olho Turco from Brazil. I'm so happy, this is an unique shade in the whole World!

Bom fim de semanaaa! :) Quando escolhi os meus vernizes preferidos de 2012, um deles foi o Passe Nati Olho Turco, que nunca tinha usado até então. Se já estava encantada com a cor no frasco, imaginem nas minhas unhas, adorei! Sou uma sortuda por tê-lo conseguido com a minha amiga Lari; ela sabendo da minha paixão por azuis, deu-mo a conhecer desde o Brasil. E ainda bem que o fez, esta cor é única no Planeta!

My pictures don't capture half of its gorgeousness! Main color is deep vibrant ink blue color and it has an amazing shimmer that sometimes looks blue and others purple (my camera captured it in the bottle instead of the nails lol). I'd swear it's the same shade as my everyday blue pen haha. Formula killed me, it's a one coater, perfect application and good drying time. It also doesn't stain as the color suggests :)

As minhas foto não captam de todo a beleza deste verniz! A cor predominante é um profundo e vibrante azul caneta com um lindo shimmer azul ou por vezes roxo (a minha câmara capturou o shimmer no frasco ao invés das unhas lol). Juraria que tem a mesma cor que a minha caneta azul que uso todos os dias lol. A formula surpreendeu-me pela positiva porque cobre com uma só camada, tem perfeita aplicação e bom tempo de secagem. Ao contrário do que a cor sugere, o Olho Turco não mancha as unhas :)

I used Passe Nati Olho Turco alone for a day and stamped in the following to take advantage of the sun :) Of course I stamped with my newest holographic polish Color Club Blue Heaven (ok, this was almost two weeks ago because now I have more holos in case you saw them in my facebook lol). I have a thing with holographic leaves and I don't know why, guess I really like the details and small lines :) This design belongs from Gals GA37 plate and I really like the outcome :)

Usei o Olho Turco assim puro por um dia e carimbei-o no segundo para aproveitar o sol que deu ar de sua graça :) Claro que carimbei com o meu mais recente verniz holográfico, o Color Club Blue Heaven (pronto, já não é o mais recente, mas isto foi há quase duas semanas lol). Tenho uma predilecção por carimbar folhas, acho que deve ser por gostar de ver o detalhe e os traços finos :) Este desenho pertence à placa Gals GA 37 e gostei muito :)

I'm really loving Olho Turco, it deserves the 2012 podium. I got curious with the stamping and think it will look stunning with an holographic top coat. Sorry my pictures don't really show it's dimension, i hate this. Do you own this baby? And what do you think of this stamping manicure? See you tomorrow and kisses :)

Estou mesmo a adorar o Olho Turco, merece o pódio de 2012 que lhe concedi. Fiquei bastante curiosa com o resultado do carimbo e tenho de experimentar uma camadinha fina de um top coat holográfico sobre o Olho Turco, deve ficar soberbo! Desculpem não ter conseguido melhores fotografias de toda a dimensão e profundidade do Olho Turco, detesto isso. Já possuem este menino? E que me dizem da manicure? Até manhã e beijinhos :)

Review: Shimmer Polish Elsa

Last week I went to a party and decided that that was the day Shimmer Polish Elsa was going to prettify my nails! Shimmer Elsa is quite an intriguing glitter. There's a lot in terms of shape and colors going on that I felt kind of  lost on how to use it lol :p

Na semana passada dui a uma festa e decidi que aquele seria o dia em que o verniz Shimmer Polish Elsa ia embelezar as minhas unhas! O Shimmer Elsa é deveras complexo. Acontecem bastantas coisas em termos de formatos de glitter e cores que me senti perdida sobre qual a melhor combinação para o usar lol :p O glitter do Shimmer Elsa possui vários tamanhos em dourado, vermelho e turquesa.

I layered Elsa over black but then I realized it would also look very good over a brown polish or nude. As always, Shimmer polishes are easy to apply, have a nice thick formula that prevents them from flooding the cuticles, dry very fast and are pretty! Shimmer Elsa has many glitter sizes in red, gold and turquoise. 

Optei por passar o Elsa sobre preto e só depois apercebi-me que ficaria óptimo sobre castanh ou um tom nude. Como sempre, os vernizes Shimmer são fáceis de aplicar, possuem uma formula ligeiramente espessa e perfeita que os impede de escorrer para as cutículas, secam rápido e são bonitos! o Elsa possui vários tamanhos de glitter em vermelho, dourado e turquesa. 

This is a generous coat of Elsa over Wet n' Wild Black Creme and my pictures don't do justice to the hude shine Elsa shoes in real life! *.* I kept forgetting my camera to take photos in the sunlight during the three days Elsa graced my nails. In my ring finger I stamped a pretty bow from Gals GA7 plate with Barry M Gold Instant Nail Effects. I finished everything with two coats of Seche Vite :)

As fotos mostram uma camada generosa do Shimmer Elsa sobre o verniz Wet n´ Wild Black Creme. Esqueci-me da minha câmera parta tirar fotos sob o sol nos três dias que usei esta manicure porque estas não captaram todo o brilho lindo do Shimmer Elsa. No dedo anelar carimbei um laço engraçado da plaquinha Gals GA7 com o verniz Barry M Gold Instant Nail Effects. Terminei com duas camadas de Seche Vite :)

I loved this look, loved using it! Well, during three days i couldn't expect somehting else lol. I removed this manicure without any chips or wear signals, which is very good :) The bow conquered my heart immediately with its straight lines, super cute :) Shimmer Polishes are sold on Cindy's Etsy Store and more recently, in Harlow & Co store. Adorei este look, adorei usar! Três dias, não era para menos lol. Removi tudo sem nenhuma lasca ou desgaste no Shimmer Elsa, o que é muito bom sinal ;) O laço conquistou-me com as linhas rectas, acho-o muito engraçado lol. Nailspt Mermaid Tale Without The Tail

Hello ladies :)

How are you? Me, I'm recovering from a nasty fever night and hopefully will be better any time soon with antibiotics :) I tend to use and show a lot of indie polishes here on my blog but none of them is portuguse. Today I'm changing that with Nailspt Mermaid Tale Without The Tail (I love the name by the way lol!). Nails PT is a portuguese blogger and you can check her blog here :)

Como estão? Eu? eu estou em recuperação de uma péssima noite com febre e espero ficar melhor com a ajuda dos antibióticos :) Eu gosto de usar e já vos mostrei aqui no blog vários vernizes indies, mas nenhum deles é português  Hoje vou mudar isso com o verniz Nailspt Mermaid Tale Without The Tail (adoro o nome!). Nails Pt é uma blogger portuguesa e podem ver o blog dela aqui :)  

I was wearing Cliché Azul Céu (link here) when I realised both would be a perfec match to each other. So, I applied two coats of Mermaid Tale Without The Tail and topped it with one coat of Seche Vite top coat for huge shine :p This indie polish is so pretty, a lot of shaped glitters in white, blue, red and green in a slightly white base. Formula is also easy to spread on the nail. :)

Estava a usar o Cliché Azul Céu (link aqui) e apercebi-me que ambos eram a combinação perfeita. Portanto, apliquei duas camadas do verniz Mermaid Tale Without The Tail e terminei com uma camada de Seche vite para dar mais brilho :p Este verniz é tão bonito, possui glitters de vários formatos em branco, azul, vermelho e verde numa base ligeiramente esbranquiçada. A formula também foi fácil de aplicar nas unhas :)

To add a litle something I choosed to stamp it with the image plate from Gals GA 34 plate using MASH Black polish. I like the way the glitters pop up in the middle of the circunferences :p

Para dar um toque extra, decidi carimbar com a imagem da plaquinha Gals GA 34 utilizando o verniz MASH Black. Gosto da forma como os glitters "espreitam" pelas circunferências do desenho lol :p

Another best thing on Mermaid Tale Without The Tail? 3.5€! Never before did I pay this low ammount for and indie polish! Ana is selling limited quantities while her stock lasts, so be sure to check her blogsale page, where the Indie polishes are ;) I very much liked this combination :) Hope to see you son and kisses, I'm off to my bed again :p

Outra coisa fantástica sobre o Mermaid Tale Without The Tail? Custou-me 3.5€! Nunca antes paguei tão pouco por um verniz indie! A Ana está a vender quantidades limitadas enquanto o seu stock não acaba, portanto vejam a página do blogsale dela pois é lá que encontram os vernizes ;) Eu adorei esta combinação :) Espero ver-vos em breve e beijinhos, vou de volta para caminha agora :p

Cliché Azul Céu

Hello there :)

In portugal there's a brand Cliche that retails for 1€ and is available everywhere. In the past I had bad experiences with them like taking forever to dry, too sheer formulas, absence of pigmentation and awful brush which is why I don't buy them a lot. But I can't deny they have a wide range of colors. Recently Cliché launched 5 collections and the most intriguing color to me was this Azul Céu (Blue Sky is the translation and there's nothing here blue sky related lol) and I couldn't resist getting it :)

Eu não sou grande fã da marca portuguesa Cliché. Em tempos passados tive péssimas experiências, vernizes demasiado aguados, que duram séculos a secar, pigmentação inexistente, pincel terrível... enfim. Mas o que não posso negar é que têm uma vasta gama de cores que nem eu consigo consigo resistir lol. A Cliché lançou de rajada 5 colecções (se é que não foram mais...) e a cor que mais intrigou foi este Azul Céu (que de céu não tem nada lol) e não resisti a traze-lo comigo :) 

Gorgeous, isn't it? Yes! lol. To me it's a seductive shade, balancing between blue and grey, depending on the ilumination. Cliche Azul Céu is a creme finish polish, sheer and opaque in 3 coats. I think it needed the 4th coat though. It flows a bit the cuticles and while drying there was some bubble formation. I erased them with a coat of Seche Vite and hence the shine in pictures, altough Azul Céu has a good shine :)

Lindo não é?? Sim! hehe. Para mim é um tom sedutor, brinca entre azul e cinzento dependendo das iluminações. Tem um acabamento cremoso e precisou de 3 camadas, é aguado e escorre um pouco para as cutículas. Senti que devia ter aplicado a quarta camada porque vi ligeiramente a parte branca da unha, mas já não tinha paciência :p Ao secar fez bolinhas, por isso apliquei uma camada do top coat Seche Vite para as eliminar e o brilho que vem nas fotos é deste top coat, se bem que o Azul Céu tem bom brilho :)

I love the color, it's super pretty and elegant :) I couldn't resist adding a little something with the bow from Gals GA 33 plate, stamped with MASH Black polish.

Gosto muito da cor, é super elegante e bonita :) Não resisti a adicionar um lacinho fofo da plaquinha Gals GA 33, carimbando com o verniz MASH Black.

Given the nature of the application and me being a lazy person, I don't know when I'll use this polish again :p Most likely i'll let myself be seduced once more time by the color, that's very unique and gorgeous in my opinion :) Did you enjoy the shade? Do you own something similar? Kisses

Dada toda a natureza de aplicação do Cliché Azul Céu e eu sendo uma pessoa preguiçosa, devo dizer que não sei quando volto a usá-lo :p Mas o mais provável é deixar-me seduzir novamente pela cor, que considero única e super bonita! Zoya Blaze

When Zoya released its Ornate Christmas 2012 Collection I went crazy to get Zoya blaze to myself! lol I was in love with the color and the sparkle in all swatches I saw. I couldn't predict the waiting for it to arrive Portugal would be almost three times the usual shipping time, but here it is!

Quando a Zoya lançou a colecção Ornate do Natal 2012 eu fiquei maluca para conseguir o Blaze para a mim! lol Estava apaixonada pela cor e brilho em todas manicures que vi. Não podia era prever que ia demorar 3 vezes mais que o normal a chegar a Portugal... mas aqui está!

Its a very beautiful polish, a gorgeous cramberry color filled with big holographic glitter that goes crazy under the sunlight! I could admire this polish in my nails in a promenade all day lol. I thought I would need three coats to full nail coverage but I was wrong, Baze is very pigmented and two coats are enough. I like Zoya's brush and was also pleasently surprised the formula is very good and of easy application :)

É um verniz verdadeiramente bonito com uma base vermelha (do mesmo tom do arando vermelho) preenchida com glitter holográfico, um pouco maior que o normal fininho, e que fica completamente soberbo sob o sol. Era capaz de ficar o dia todo na esplanada a admirar as minhas unhas lol. Pensava que ia precisar de três camadas para para cobrir totalmente as unhas, mas estava errada e a pigmentação é tão boa que bastam duas camadas. Aprecio o pincel da Zoya e fiquei agradavelmente surpreendida com a sua formula e facilidade de aplicação :)

Unfortunately, Blaze didn't strike my heart as I was expecting. And this is simply because I own something else that already stole my heart! Its Dorothy Shoes by Márcia Lima (post here) *.* Zoya Blaze is similar in its glitter to Dorothy Shoes, but in shadow and low light its blehhh!!  The glitter doesn't shine and I really didn't like that... I should've learn by now because its the same reason I don't like Orly Rock Solid. Dorothy Shoes has a more vivid red base and it shines everywhere, I love it!

Infelizmente o Zoya Blaze não ganhou o pódio do meu coração como esperava. E isto é porque tenho algo que já tem este lugar, é o Dorothy Shoes da Márcima Lima (post aqui) *.* O Blaze tem um gltter grossinho semelhante ao Dorothy Shoes, mas na sombra e com pouca luz ele fica blehhhh!! Não brilha e eu não gosto disso... já devia ter aprendido porque é o mesmo motivo de não gostar do Orly Rock Solid. O Dorothy Shoes tem uma cor vermelha mais viva e brilha em todo o lado, Adoro-o!

I know I like Blaze a lot and so next time I'll use it when going to the beach or staying all day under the sun LOL. Its really pretty and a new type finish polish to Zoya :) Ohh the little heart (very appropriate to Valentine's day lol) belongs to Gals GA 5 plate :p What do you think? Kisses :)

Eu sei que gosto muito do Blaze, mas da próxima vez que o usar vai ser na praia ou alguma ocasião em que esteja debaixo do sol o dia todo lOL. É realmente bonito e um novo tipo de acabamento para a Zoya :) Ahh o pequeno coraçao (muito apropriado para o dia dos namorados) pertence à plaquinha Gals GA 5 :p O que acharam? Beijinhos :)
