GL Nails Baby Gel Polish Review & Butterfly Nail Art

Hello gorgeous! :)

Spring is here... as well as a new gel polish collection by GL Nails! The collection is named Butterfly Lovely (cute!) and at first it contained 6 gel polishes, however 4 more were added recently. This is a collection to transit from Winter to Spring because it contains both dark and bright colors.

E a Primavera chegou! Com ela chegou também a nova colecção de verniz gel da GL Nails que se chama Butterfly Lovely! :D Esta é uma colecção de transição de Inverno para Primavera, pois contém tanto cores escuras como alegres e vibrantes. A colecção saíu com 6 tons, mas entretanto foram lançados mais 4.

I'm starting with GL Nails Baby and will try to get the entire collection posted before Expocosmetics (1st weekend of April). Baby is such a sweet milky peach-y color! It has both pink as well as peach in the formula. The formula is quite sheer and may be opaque in 4 or more coats. For this review I applied four coats combined with GL Nails NutriOne base and GL Nails One top coat.

Vamos começar com o verniz gel GL Nails Baby, sendo que vou tentar ter toda a colecção online até ao 1º fim de semana de Abril em que vai decorrer a Expocosmética. Este Baby é mesmo um baby! ;) Tem um tom pêssego leitoso com toque de rosa que resulta numa cor bem fofinha :) Gosto muito da cor, mas a pigmentação para mim deixa a desejar... isto porque precisei de 4 camadas para cobrir as unhas. É um tom discreto... mas ficava feliz com 3 camadas ;) usei como base o GL Nails NutirOne e finalizei com o GL Nails NutriOne. 

So... butterfly collection... butterflies nail art, right? haha I'm being cheesy! :p I did stamping decals with the reverse stamping technique using glitter and then applied them in my nails. The butterflies belong to Curali 012 plate and were stamped with DRK Sangria and BP YaQuinAn Pink polishes. The glitter is Penélope Luz Sweet Dreams and did the decals over the Uber Chic Uber Mat. I was curious to see if I was able to seal the decals with GL Nails One top coat and I was! It turned out perfect and I love it! :D

Uma colecção chamada de borboleta... quão tola poderia eu ser e fazer uma nail art com borboletas? Muito eheheh! Fiz adesivos de carimbo com as borboletas da placa Curali 012 e carimbei com os vernizes DRK Sangria e BP YaQuinAn Pink.  O glitter usado foi o Penélope Luz Sweet Dreams e fiz os adesivos no tapete de Silicone Uber Mat da Uber Chic. Estava muito curiosa para ver o resultado final sabendo que finalizei com o top coat GL Nails One... ficou espectacular - adorei! <3

GL Nails Duma Gel Polish Review

Hello hello! :)

In these winter days, one needs to feel cosy and bundled up, right? Yes! But how about your nails? :p Today I bring you my review of GL Nails Duma as well as a very cosy nail art with it :)

Nestes dias frios e Invernais que se fazem sentir, só queremos estar quentinhas e confortáveis certo? E as unhas? Também é possível estender o sentimento aconchegante! :p Hoje trago-vos a minha review do verniz gel GL Nails Duma e uma nail art com o mesmo :)

GL Nails Duma belongs to the Miroslava collection and I have previously reviewed GL Nails Thássia, Mellina and D'Art.  GL Nails Duma has a sort of dusty old pink color... and has a very fine red shimmer which is delighting <3 I applied three very easy coats combined with GL Nails NutriOne and GL Nails One top coat. Each coat was cured for 1 min under LED lamp (or 2min in a UV lamp).

O gel verniz GL Nails Duma pertence à colecção Miroslava e tem um tom rosa velho com toque de cinza. O toque especial deste verniz é que tem um hsimmer fininho vermelho que lhe proporciona um bonito encanto <3 Da mesma colecção revi anteriormente os vernizes gel verniz GL Nails Thássia, Mellina e D'Art. A aplicação do Duma faz-se com duas camadas (muito fáceis de aplicar!), cada uma cada na lâmpada LED por 1 min (ou 2 min na lâmpada UV). Antes apliquei a base GL Nails NutriOne e posteriormente o finalizante GL Nails One.

For the cosy nail art, nothing better than a sweater manicure, right?? Yaasss! It's an easy nail art, given that I only stamped the sweater pattern using MoYou Fashionista 14 plate with DRK Nails Areia polish. Than I mattified everything with GL Nails top coat Matt. Love it!

Par a manicure aconchegante, fiz uma nail art de camisola!  Isto porque nada melhor que olhar para as mãos e pensar logo num sofá, com camisola e manta quentinha! *-* É uma manicure fácil, sendo que carimbei o padrão de camisola da placa MoYou Fashionista 14 com o verniz DRK Nails Areia. Por fim matifiquei tudo com o GL Nails Top Coat Matt. Adoro!

GL Nails D'Art Gel Polish Review

Hello gorgeous! :)

One of the most trendy colors this Winter is grey (well, pretty much all years I know haha). As such, GL Nails also has a grey polish in their Miroslava collection and today I bring you GL Nails D'Art gel polish.

Uma das cores mais trendy desta estação é cinzento (bom, é quase todos os anos hehe). Assim sendo, não podia faltar este tom na colecção Miroslava  da GL Nails! Assim, hoje trago-vos a minha opinião e review do verniz gel GL Nails D'Art.

GL Nails D'art is a medium cream grey gel polish. I was very pleased with the pigmentation - two coats. The application was a breeze too. I combined it with GL Nails NutriOne basecoat and GL Nails One top coat. Love the shine too! 

O gel verniz GL Nails D'Art é um cinza médio cremoso. Fiquei muito contente com a pigmentação - apliquei duas camadas. A aplicação foi muito fácil e simples. Combinei a mesma com a base GL Nails NutriOne basecoat e finalizante GL Nails One. Também sou muito fã do brilho!

Cold days kind of makes me want to do cute nail arts, and this was no exception :p I did a mix n match nail art.  I painted polka dots in the ring and pinky fingers. In the other nails I freehanded white hearts with acrylic paint and sealed with GL Nails One top coat. The final step was to mattify everything with GL Nails Matt top coat. 

Estes dias frios fazer-me querer ter manicures fofinhas e esta não foi excepção :p Fiz uma nail art mix n match. Desenhei bolinhas (estilo polka dots) nos dedos mindinho e anelar. Nas restantes unhas desenhei corações brancos com tinta acrílica e selei tudo com o top coat GL Nails One. Por fim, matifiquei toda a nail art com o top coat GL Nails Matt.

GL Nails Elvis & Jerry Gel Polish Review & Gel Polish Gradient

Hello everyone! :)

I'm super excited about the review I bring you today of GL Nails Elvis & Jerry! They both belong to the newly released Hollywood collection by GL Nails (you can check Merli here as well). I'm excited because I was able to do a gradient with both gel polishes that I'm actually super proud of! haha :D 

Estou super animada com a review que vos trago hoje dos vernizes gel GL Nails Elvis e Jerry! Ambos pertencem à colecção mais recente da marca, designada Hollywood (podem ver o verniz gel Merli aqui). Estou animada porque fiz finalmente um gradiente com dois vernizes gel do qual me orgulho! :D eheheh

Lets start with GL Nails Jerry, which is a light nude peach. The pigmentation in medium and covers nails in three coats. Each layer cured for 1 min in the LED lamp (2 mins in UV lamp). I also paired it with GL Nails NutriOne and GL Nails One, base and top coat.

Vamos começar com o verniz gel GL Nails Jerry que tem um tom nude pêssego claro. A pigmentação é media, pelo que cobre as unhas com três camadas. Cada camada, por sua vez, foi curada na lâmpada LED durante 1 min (2 min se for lâmpada UV). Para base e top coat, usei o GL Nails NutriOne e GL Nails One, respectivamente.

GL Nails Elvis is also a clear gel polish, with nude undertones but leaning more in the white side. It's adorable :) Pigmentation is the same as GL Nails Jerry and also covers nails in three coats. Curing time was the same. 

O verniz gel GL Nails Elvis é também um nude claro, aliás, o mais claro da colecção Hollywood. A cor tende mais para o branco, mas tem um sob tom mais "cor de pele" na formula que o torna mais interessante. A pigmentação é idêntica à do Jerry e cobre as unhas também com três camadas.

There's actually no secret to do the gradient; it's as simple as it gets :D  (I feel silly for not doing it earlier...) I applied a coat of base coat first and then with the brush almost clean, I applied the gel polish near the formula and lightly (very lightly!) dragged the color down. I did the exact same in the tips. The idea is to blend both colors lightly (and they do!). For this result I only did two applications, sealed with top coat and cleaned xx layer with GL Nails Cleaner. <3 

Na verdade, não há qualquer segredo para fazer este gradiente: é super fácil! :D  (aliás, até me sinto tola por não ter feito assim anteriormente...) Primeiro apliquei uma camada de base GL Nails NutriOne. Com o pincel quase sem verniz, apliquei o Elvis junto às cutículas e arrastei a cor para o centro das unhas com pinceladas muito leves (e pincel praticamente limpo!). Depois fiz o mesmo com o Jerry junto às extremidades das unhas, de modo a misturar as duas cores e selei com top coat GL Nails One. O segredo é realmente puxar a cor verniz gel levemente e com o pincel praticamente limpo <3. Limpei a camada de expressão com o Cleaner da GL Nails.

To take the gradient a notch higher, I stamped over it with white (ahh soft colors *-*). The image design belongs to Fab Ur Nails 16 and I used Mundo de Uñas White as the stamping polish. 

Para elevar o gradiente a um estatuto de nail art mais elevado (hehe), carimbei o mesmo com o verniz de carimbo Mundo de Uñas White (ahh cores suaves *-*). O desenho de carimbo pertence à placa Fab Ur Nails FUN 16.
