Kiko 807 Magenta Perlato

Hello chicas! :)

In in the end of July Kiko released this Quick Dry collection, consisting in 40 shades. Back then I bought one to try out and check if I like the new round bottle. This manicure dates from July. Kiko 807 Magenta Perlato looked very intriguing to me so it come home but there's some gorgeous blues in that collection. Who knows if I get them sometime :)

No fim de Julho a Kik lançou uma colecção composta por 40 tons, intitulada Quick Dry. Na altura comprei um verniz para experimentar e perceber se gosto do frasco redondo. Esta manicure com o Kiko 807 Magenta Perlato data do dito mês e estava guardada nas minhas pastas hehe. Esta cor foi das que mais gostei, mas sei que deixei lá uns belos azuis que quem sabe compro no futuro :p

It turns out I really love this Magento Perlato shade. Its base is bright red with pink/orange glass flecks. The polish is sheer, very sheer. I applied four coats for full nail coverage. With that many coats I thought the polsih would take forever to dry, but nope, it dried fast like the brand name says (a bit more than 60s) :) Unfortunately the formula is a bit runny so you got to be careful with your cuticles. The brush is flat, larger and has more bristles than the normal square Kiko bottles. I didn't like it, I prefer the regular one by far. As I loved the shade and wanted to wear it alone I just draw a pink rose (can't remember the polishes I used) and leafs with Kiko 643 (I should have picked a bright green shade hehe).

Acontece que gosto bastante deste tom Magenta Perlato. É um verniz com a base vermelho vivo e glass flecks rosa/laranja. Mas é bastante aguado e escorre para as cutículas (se bem que foi fácil de limpar). Necessitei aplicar quatro camadas para cobrir as unhas e esperava que o verniz demorasse imenso a secar. Mas antes pelo contrário, fez jus ao nome da colecção e secou super rápido (pouco mais de 60s lol). O respectivo pincel é achatado, com ponta redonda, mais largo e com mais pêlos que o pincel tradicional da marca. Sinceramente, não gostei. Usei o 807 sozinho porque amei a cor mas pintei no dedo anelar uma rosa (esqueci-me dos vernizes que usei... ups) e as folhas com o Kiko 643 (que ficariam melhor com um verde cremoso lol).

About the bottle, well its not that I don't like it (I have other brand rounded bottles). But comparing to the square bottles I own and thinking of the brand image, yeah, I really prefer the traditional bottles too :) Overall its good I loved the shade but honestly, after 4 coats I'm a bit scared to use it again lol. Quanto ao frasco redondo a verdade é que não desgosto de todo (afinal de contas tenho vários frascos redondos de outras marcas). Mas comparando com os frascos quadrados tradicionais e pensando na imagem da marca, sem dúvida que prefiro de longe os quadrados :) No geral ainda bem que gosto bastante desta cor, porque após quatro camadas vou equacionar se volto a usar...lol. O que vos parece? Já experimentaram um destes novos meninos? Beijinhos

Ozotic Beam 905

After Picture Polish bought Ozotic brand last year and released the Beam collection I went crazy with Ozotic 905 Beam! I saw gorgeouss picture of it and I knew it had to be mine, no matter what! lol Today I'm showing the two ways I used Ozotic Beam to take full advantage of this baby :)

Após a Picture Polish comprar a marca Ozotic a lançar a colecção Beam, eu fiquei maluca com o Ozotic 905! Vi fotos espectaculares e percebi que tinha de ser meu, seja de que forma fosse! lol. Hoje tenho-o aqui no blog de duas formas diferentes, para realmente usufruir deste menino :)

First we have it over two coats of Trosani Nº90. It only takes a single thin coat to achieve this sparlking result. Ozotic 905 is a multitude of glass flecks in many colors and you can see them individually when looking closer. It shines incredibly, specially under the cinema lights lol. I love Ozotic's flat brush with soft bristles, it was no effort to apply Beam and dried pretty fast :) To achieve full nail coverage Ozotic 905 needs three coats, but I really love how it looks over blue (of course!) *.*

Em primeiro lugar temos o Ozotic 905 sobre duas camadas do Trosani Nº90. Basta uma acamada fininha para o verniz ficar assim lindo :) O Ozotic 905 contém uma multitude de glass flecks em diversas cores que se pose observar individualmente olhando de muito perto. Brilha horrores tendo este acabamento e especialmente sob a luz do cinema lol! Gosto muito do pincel da Ozotic, é achatado e com cerdas super macias, resultando na facilidade extrema de aplicação do verniz; além de secar rápido. Para total cobertura das unhas, o Ozotic 905 precisa de três camadas, mas eu adoro vê-lo e usá-lo sobre azul (pois claro lol!)  *.*

Next, I realised Ozotic Beam 905 would look stunning over a duochrome polish and catch its effect with a very thin coat... I tryed and it did! :D This is two coats of Essence Blue Ray and one of Beam, I love it! I kept playing with my nails in several angles all the time to see the duchrome effect LOL :p

Depois, apercebi-que que com uma camada fina, o Ozotic Beam 905 ficaria perfeito sobre um verniz duochrome e "apanhar" o mesmo efeito... Experimentei e assim foi! :D Apliquei duas camadas do Essence Blue Ray e uma fininha do Ozotic 905, adorei!! Estive sempre a brincar com as unhas em diversos ângulos só para poder observar o efeito duochrome LOL :p

Pay no attention to the different watermarks... I'm changing it and the first pictures are from the beggining of January :p I'm glad I got Beam, I love it! There's endless nail possibilities with it :) Do you own any of the new Ozotics? If not, which ones would you like to have? Kisses :)

OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service

Hello gorgeous :)

First there was Zoya Feifei... then there was OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service, an exact dupe of Zoya. I drooled so much over this color that as soon as I got the chance I grabed OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service just in time to watch the premiere of Skyfall here in Portugal lol. Oh yes, it's been two/three months that I've held pictures of this polish lol and that's because ever since i saw the beggining of Skyfall I wanted to do a special nail art... but you see, the time to do it never came so here it is :p

Primeiro surgiu o Zoya Feifei... depois o OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service, um dupe exacto do Zoya. Babei tanto nesta cor que assim que surgiu a oportunidade, comprei o OPI On Her majesty's Secret Service, mesmo a tempo da estreia de Skyfall em Portugal lol! Ah pois, tem cerca de dois/três meses que guardo as fotos deste verniz lol e tal deve-se ao facto de desde que vi a introdução do filme desejar fazer uma nail art específica... Mas, enfim, o tempo nunca surgiu portanto aqui está este OPI :p

Weather was against me and photos in those two days I wore OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service, so I never could really show you the depth of the polish. It's a polish full of colored glass flecks in gold, green, pink, purple and blue in a blue/grey base. I quite love it! *.* Can't decide if the base is blueish or greyish lol. But opposite at to what I was expecting form OPI I needed 3 coats of On Her majesty's Secret Service and in both the first coats there was bald spots; it all got even out with the third coat. The shine... well, its amazing! You can't imagine how it claimed for attention in the movie lights :D I finished with a coat of Kinetics Kwik Kote top coat.

O tempo estava contra mim e as foto em ambos os dias que usei o OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service, por isso não vos consigo mostrar bem a sua profundidade.  É um verniz cheio de glass flecks multi-coloridos, em dourado, verde, rosa, roxo e azul numa base azul/cinzenta. Adoro!! *.* Não me consigo decidir se a base é azul acinzentada ou cinza azulada lol. Mas ao contrário do que esperava da OPI, precisei de 3 camadas em que as duas primeiras arrastaram, mas tudo ficou perfeito com a terceira camada. O brilho... bem, o brilho é espectacular, especialmente sob as luzes do cinema! *.* Terminei com uma camada do top coat Kinetics Kwik Kote.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service is gorgeous! Lemming satisfied! lool Actually I think this entire OPI Skyfall James Bond 007 collection is pretty amazing! I don't own any more colors but believe me I would if I could... love the names and the colors! :p What do you think? Would you wear a shade like this? Kisses***

Winter Holiday Challenge: Christmas Decorations Tree, Ornaments, Wreath, etc

Today I’m feeling a bit sick.. guess it suits very well the Christmas cold season lol. But this makes me just want to lie in bed (though I’m at university now) and I’m not in the mood to write or change polish. Today’s Winter Holiday Challenge is very versatile in my opinion; there are many possibilities to suit this theme “Christmas Decorations Tree, Ornaments, Wreath, etc”. I did something simple for today: Holly Nails. 

Hoje estou um pouco doente… Calculo que se adequa perfeitamente ao clima frio natalício lol. Mas isto faz-me querer ir para a caminha (apesar de estar na faculdade agora) e não ter vontade quer de escrever como de mudar de verniz.  O tema de hoje do desafio Winter Holiday é bastante versátil na minha opinião: Decorações da Arvore de Natal, Ornamentos, Embrulhos, etc. Eu optei por algo bastante simples: Azevinho.

 I started with 3 coats of Big Universo Aurum. In the bottle I believed it was a sheer glass flecked polish, but not, the formula is thick actually and a bit hard to manage because it floods the cuticles. But it evens out well. The color is truly unique in my collection (thanks so much for this gift Patricia) champagne base with gold glass flecks. In pictures it’s mostly champagne with gold in some angles; in real life it tends to be gold :p

  

Comecei com 3 camadas do Big Universo Aurum. No frasco este verniz parecia-me ser bastante aguado, mas não… a formula é bastante espessa e até algo difícil de trabalhar porque escorre um pouco para as cutículas. Mas o verniz uniformiza-se bem :p A cor é verdadeiramente única na minha colecção (muito obrigada pelo presente Patrícia!), base champanhe com glass flecks dourados. Nas fotos parece mais champanhe com dourado nalguns ângulos, mas na vida real é o oposto :p

 There’s no secret regarding the Holly lol I stamped the holly image from BM 302 with MASH Black, then I used a very thin dotting tool from Born Pretty Store to paint inside the leafs with A England Dragon and berries with Miss Broadway Col. 07. I finished with one coat of Seche Vite :)

Não há segredo relativamente ao azevinho lol Carimbei o respectivo desenho da plaquinha BM 302 com o verniz MASH Black. Depois usei um pequeno e fino boleador da loja Born Pretty para preencher as folhas com o A England Dragon e bagas com o verniz Miss Broadway Col 07. Terminei com uma camada de top coat Seche vite :)  

I’m loving the result so far and it caught up many looks and compliments (me = proud! lol). I love the shift from champagne to gold and though I usually don’t like the glass flecked finish, I’m so doing an exception for Big Universo Aurum! :) See you soon and kisses :)

Estou a adorar o resultado e até agora já recebi vários olhares e cumprimentos por esta manicure (eu orgulhosa! Lol). Gosto imenso da variação de champanhe para dourado e apesar de geralmente não gostar do acabamento glass flecked, estou mais do que disposta a fazer uma excepção para o Big Universo Aurum lol! Trocas e Baldrocas: A England Tess D'Ubervilles

Today i have a gorgeous polish to show you that belongs to my dear Miminhos :) I've been wanting a lot to try one of the new polishes from Gothic Beauties Collection by A England. I felt quite in doubt due to the swatches, I think they get too darker for me in the nails. This is Tess D'Ubervilles with Miminhos's favorite color :)

Hoje tenho um verniz lindão para vos mostrar que pertence à minha querida Miminhos :) Eu estava desejando há algum tempo experimentar estes novos vernizes da nova colecção Gothic Beauties da A England. Senti-me sempre em dúvida com as fotos na blogosfera pois penso que são demasiado escuros para mim nas unhas. Este é o Tess D'Ubervilles que tem a cor preferida da Miminhos :)

As usual from A England, application is perfect. The formula flows so nicely through the nails and the brush is great. Tess D'Ubervilles is filled with dark green glass flecks in a black jelly base and covers the nails in two easy coats :p It really gets more dull in the nail compared to the bottle do I decided to use the cotton swab and acetone trick. Basically i just let the polish dry and then, with a cotton swab impregnated in acetone, I lightly brushed the polish removing the dark layer and bringing up the gorgeous green :D

Como sempre, a aplicação dos vernizes A England é perfeita. A formula flui tão bem pelas unhas e o pincel é excelente. O Tess D'Ubervilles está saturado de glass flecks verde escuro numa base jelly preta e cobre as unhas com duas fáceis camadas :p Efectivamente, ele fica mais escuro na unhas que no frasco, então decidi utilizar o truque do cotonete embebido em acetona. Basicamente esperei o verniz estar bem seco e, depois de embeber o cotonete em acetona, passei-o levemente sobre o verniz removendo a camada preta e trazendo ao de cimo o verde lindíssimo :D

I'm always surprised with how fast A England polishes dry and the gorgeous shine. I added a few loose glitters from a store called Loja da Rose with a dotting tool and finished with a coat of Golden Roe Quick Dry top coat.

Fico sempre surpreendida com a velocidade com que os vernizes A England secam e o respectivo brilho. Adicionei alguns glitters hexagonais soltos com ajuda de um boleador e comprei-os por cerca de 1.10€ na Loja da Rose. Finalizei tudinho com uma camada do top coat Golden Rose Quick Dry. 

Now i really must get my favorite from the collection: Lady of Shallot eh eh and if it stays too dark i can always use the same trick again lol. Thank you so much Miminhos, i'm in love! *_*

Agora preciso mesmo de comprar o meu verniz favorito desta colecção: Lady of Shallot :p E se ficar demasiado escuro na unha posso sempre recorrer ao mesmo truque lol. Muito obrigada Miminhos, estou apaixonada *_*

Accessorize Pink Spice

Hola chicas :)

Today i bring you my surprise polish from the swap i did with sweet Charlotte :) I wasn't expecting nothing quite like this! I love it! :D It's accessorize Pink Spice! I previously had no clue that there were Accessorize polishes.. i know, silly me lol, but do remember i started the blog in April ih ih xD Pink Spice is alo a dupe of MAC Bad Fairy :p

Hoje trago-vos o meu verniz surpresa da troquinha que fiz com a querida Charlotter :) Eu não estava à espera de nada como isto! Adoro! :D E isto é nada mais, nada menos, que o verniz Accessorize Pink Spice. Nem sabia que a Accessorize tinham uma colecção de vernizes... eu sei... tolinha lol... mas recordai-vos que comecei o blog em Abril ih ih xD Pink Spice é também um dupe do verniz MAC Bad Fairy :p

Now, the curious thing is that since i received it nearly a month ago Accessorize brought they're Illusion nail polish line to Portugal stores and they cost something like 5,90€ around here. I didn't personally checked this price, but i will in the next few days since i want to personally look at Mermaid polish lol.

O engraçado é que desde que recebi este menino há quase um mês, a Accessorize lançou em Portugal esta linha de vernizes Illusion por cerca de 5,90€ cada um. Não confirmei pessoalmente, mas fa-lo-ei nos próximos dias porque pretendo ver fisicamente o verniz Mermaid lol.

Pink Spice is a pink/copper duochrome with glass flecks, hence the amazing shine. I own almost only metallic duochromes and i am pretty impressed with this one. What i'm not impressed about is application. The fist coat is so sheer and uneven that i was thinking what the @%$# is this?! In the second coat the color starts to build itself and in the third everything's perfect since i was mesmerized with the gorgeous duochrome :) Normal drying time and my cuticles didn't suffer anything at all lol. The brush is small and flat but the cap is... weird lol.

Pink Spice é um verniz duochrome que varia entre rosa e cobre e tem uma base glass flecked, daí o brilho estupendo. Eu quase só possuo duochromes metálicos e fiquei bastante impressionada com este verniz. O que já não me impressionou nada foi a aplicação. Na primeira camada o verniz é super aguado e a aplicação é irregular... não é bem arrastar, é mesmo irregular... só pensava que é esta @%$#?!. Na segunda camada a cor começa-se a compor e na terceira atinge-se um nível de espanto com o efeito duochrome e muito brilhante :) O tempo de secagem é normal e as minhas cutículas não sofreram danos colaterais lol. O pincel é pequeno e plano como se quer, mas há algo de estranho na tampa... é estranha lol não se adapta a nós.. não é ergonómica

Miss Cop Les Blue Jeans Nº6 - Indigo

Hello sweeties! :)

How are you today? :) A few weeks ago i came across an unknown polish brand to me and i decided to bring one to try out :p There was 12 colors and i choosed this one; in the meantime i already found another place with more colors :p

Como estão as meninas hoje? Espero que bem :) Há algumas semanas deparei-me com uma marca de vernizes desconhecida para mim e decidi trazer um para experimentar de entre as 12 cores disponíveis. Entretanto já descobri outro local onde existem muitas mais cores :p

Miss Cop is a french brand who is best known by its makeup. Indigo belongs to the Les blue jeans collection released this year (i believe, correct me if i'm wrong). This is a very shiny glass flecked indigo color polish. It has a long brush and spilled just a bit my cuticles. It has a nice application, normal drying time and a nice formula (all pictures are two coats).

Miss Cop é uma marca francesa principalmente conhecida pela sua maquilhagem. Este verniz pertence à colecção Les Blue Jeans lançada este ano (corrijam-me se estiver errada). O Indigo tem um brilho brutal e a sua base é glass flecked de cor indigo (pois claro! lol). Possui um pincel longo e escorreu um bocadito de nada para as minhas cutículas. A aplicação é boa, um tempo normal de secagem e uma boa formula (todas as fotos têm duas camadas). O Indigo custou-me cerca de 2,95€ numa loja em Cacilhas mesmo ao lado dos torniquetes :p

I didn't want to use this polish by itself lol but the shine stopped me from doing anything except adding some rhinestones! ih ih! And i loved the final result, simple and cute :)

Não queria usar este verniz por si só, mas também o seu brilho impedia-me de fazer algo mais... a não ser adicionar algumas pedrinhas de nail art (brilhinhos?) lol. Gostei muito do resultado final, simples e bonito :)
