It is a huge pleasure to introduce you to Vicky from Boombastic Nails blog! I dye many times with her nails... lol It's true, I love them! :p I met Vicky a while back after seeing a gorgeous stamping manicure by her in AIS. Hello :)  My name is Vicky from Boombastic Nails and I'm very excited to be here today.  When Cristina invited me to guest post (3+ weeks ago!!) all she said was 'do whatever I want to, no rules' ...  I immediately had an idea BUT it didn't turn out like I'd imagined, so I ended up with just a simple dotticure.  

All 3 shades are from Essie and here they are:

Case Study - a medium beige creme - from the 2011 Fall Collex;
Vested Interest - a dusty grayish green creme - 2013 Fall Collex
Twin Sweater Set - a bright red crelly - 2013 Fall Collex

2 coats of all the base colors & photos are shown with a coat of top coat.

It's a huge pleasure to have Helena from Nail Wish blog here with us today! *_* She's another Spanish blogger who I follow a long time ago. I think I crossed her blog after seeing one of her manicure floating in the internet and well.. Hi Lovelies!

My name is Helena and I run a Spanish blog called Nail Wish. It is a great honor to be guest posting on one of my favorite blogs! I have been a long time follower of The Clockwise Nail Polish, and I read every post, so when Cristina asked me to do one for her I immediately said YES!

I had to do something really special for her so I decided to do Matching Nails and… keys!

You may know one of the tutorials, like this one or this one, that have been going around internet about painting your keys with nail polish, but I went a step further and thought: Why not stamping on them too? It worked so well and the design was so beautiful that I obviously had to recreate it on my nails!

I first made a purple-pink gradient with Easy Paris nº402 and Purple Professional nº65, and then stamped the design of the BM-312 in white. For the accent nail I did it in reverse. I used a white polish, Flormar nº310, as the base and stamped on top with the purple-pink gradient.

This is the first time I try to do the gradient stamping and it was amazingly easy! You just have to mix the steps you make for stamping and making a gradient:

1. 1       Put the two colours on top of your image.
2. 2.       Mix them a little bit where they meet to create a shade between the two colours.
3. 3.       Scrape the polish excess.
4. 4.       Press your stamper to get the image
5. 5.       Transfer it to your nail.

My name is Lisa, and on my blog Polished Elegance I share my ever growing addiction for nail polish and nail art. I only recently found Cristina’s blog, but I instantly fell for her gorgeous nails and nail art! I am honored to do a guest post for her!

For this special occasion I wanted to recreate a mani I wore while on vacation this summer, which is a version of a mani I did earlier in July.

For this I used two coats of OPI – My Boyfriend Scales Walls on my ring and middle finger and two coats of IsaDora – Ocean Crush on the other nails. Applied studs to the base of the blue nails and painted roses at the base of the white.

Crush is part of IsaDora’s beautiful textured collection. It’s light blue filled with gold shimmer that really glitters and shines, especially in sunlight, but the gold shimmer is not hiding in the shade either. However, photographing it is almost impossible, the picture below is taken with direct flash to try to show you the gorgeousness of this polish!

Is it too cocky of me to say I really love this mani? Lol :p

I have fallen completely for textured polish, also blue polish, studs, flowers and My Boyfriend Scales Walls, so this is pretty much all my favorite things all together!

Es un gran placer para mí hacer este “Guest Post” en el blog de Cristina porque me encanta su blog y porque la conozco hace ya dos años; además de que es mi primer post invitado, por lo que aquí estoy enseñándoos un simple nail art colorido, divertido y perfecto para el verano.

Most thing I love in summer is the beach, but here in my city there isn’t so… my second favorite are the icecreams, I LOVE ALL THE ICECREAMS IN THE WORLD! I had my inspiration on a pair of beautiful leggings of Romwe.

In Spain this week is 40 degrees! So my icecreams are melting so quickly!

Lo que más me gusta del verano sin duda es la playa, pero ni modo en mi ciudad (no hay jaja) por lo que… la segunda cosa que más me gusta son los helados, ADORO TODOS LOS HELADOS DEL MUNDO! Tuve mi inspiración de unos preciosos leggings que vi en Romwe.

En España estamos ahora a 40 grados! Por eso mis helados se están derritiendo tan rápido!

To made this super easy nail art I use a super funny range of nail polishes: two discontinued Essence polishes, essence Mellow Yellow and  Essence Multidimension Fall For Me, KIKO 389 and E.Llorca N.22, the last is a Spanish low cost trademark with a very nice finish and long lasting.

For the inlines I used acrylic paints in darker colors than the polishes.

Para crear esta manicure super sencilla usé una gama de tonos de esmaltes super divertida: dos esmaltes discontinuados de Essence: Mellow Yellow y Fall For Me de la Multidimension, KIKO 389 y E.Llorca N.22, una marca española poco conocida, low cost y con un acabado muy bonito y muy duraderos.

Para las líneas usé acrílica en tonos más oscuros que los esmaltes.

Are you getting ready for a nice weekend? :) This Friday I just become more aware of my thesis due limit date, ha! Olá, leitores da Cristina! Fiquei muito feliz com o convite para fazer um guest post aqui, afinal as manis da dona do blog são sempre muito dignas e ela é sempre muito fofa! Minha intenção era fazer uma carimbada bonitona, mas falhei miseravelmente, então resolvi usar um esmalte que é diversão envasada: o Termo 175, da Dance Legend!

Eu sempre duvidei um pouco desses pigmentos termossensíveis, mas depois de testar este numa única unha, me apaixonei: uma única camada, sem top coat, dá o efeito da foto acima, e a alteração de cores, ao menos no clima da minha cidade, é visível com frequência! O 175 tem um leve shimmer que provavelmente ficaria muito bonito se aplicado um top coat, mas fazia tempo que não usava unhas com acabamento fosco, então optei por deixar no original.

Este roxo avermelhado lindíssimo é o tom "frio" - ao lavar as mãos e à noite, ele domina a manicure. Mas alguns minutos depois, a mágica começa a acontecer...

O calor do próprio corpo, num dia de clima ameno, é suficiente para que a cor "quente" apareça - esse cor-de-rosa Barbie. Usando esse esmalte, notei que meus dedos indicador e mindinho são mais frios que o médio e o anular - repararam na diferença de cores entre os dedos da mão direita?

Durante a maior parte do dia, minhas unhas ficam como na foto acima: rosas, com as pontinhas levemente roxas. Num dia de temperatura amena, qualquer alteração de temperatura é sentida pelo esmalte: vento torna as pontinhas frias, e mesmo manter a mão esticada para digitar deixa o roxo mais intenso!

É possível perceber várias nuances de roxo rosado/rosa arroxeado ao longo do dia, dependendo do que se está fazendo! Eu fiquei que nem criança, fazendo qualquer coisa e olhando pras unhas, só pra ver a reação delas à temperatura do momento... Mas este vidrinho também revela alguns dirty little secrets das nossas unhas...

Para que minhas unhas fiquem todas com o mesmo comprimento, preciso deixar o branquinho do indicador e do mindinho ligeiramente maior que o das outras, então é comum olhar para as mãos e encontrar francesinhas de tamanhos desiguais, como na foto acima HAHAHA

Como não usei nenhum finalizador, apareceram algumas lasquinhas depois de um dia de uso, mas acredito que com extra-brilho, a durabilidade aumente. Não tenho reclamações acerca deste Dance Legend! Além de me proporcionar uma manicure super lúdica, ainda é gradiente envasado! Pra quem, assim como eu, vive em cidades com temperaturas amenas e não domina muito bem a arte das gradient nails, é um ótimo esmalte!

Hello!!!

I am Aylin from Posh Nail Art and today I am a proud guest blogger here… :)

I’ve been following Cristina and her awesome work for over a year now. We got to meet each other through a swap and were surprised how much we had in common (nail art wise) :)

Anyway, I’ve always admired her nails and her clean nail art so today I wanted to make a special “neat” design for her. ‘Cause believe me, when I’m doing my nails, the unexpected happens to me, every time… So I always have mini flaws in my pictures… :) Maybe most people don’t notice that, but I do…. And being a perfectionist and a lazy woman, I just try not to see them!!!! J

So today I worked hard for this mani… :)

I used 2 coats of A-Englands Princess Sabra, a gold holographic polish as my base. I don’t know about you but I love A-Englands polishes! The formula and the colors are perfect!

After my base was dry, I took Dragon and Saint George and sponges them on my nails, making a gradient. I think these colors really complete each other. (and this comes from someone who cannot describe colors properly!!!!)

I used one coat of Seche Vite to smooth the gradient out and after it was all dry, I grabbed my MASH stamping plates… The fish scales design on MASH 39 was the reason I bought those plates, so I try to use it whenever I can… I stamped the design with Essence Stampy Polish in Black. This is the first time I’m using this polish and it surprised me. I have a love/hate relationship with Konad Black, it stamps perfect but it is a nightmare to clean. This Essence one stamped perfect also, but the cleaning was a lot easier!!!!

Finally, I used another coat of Seche and I’m done! Wow, I was really in a chatty mood today… But I liked how my mani turned out… I hope you like it, too!

For those of you who know not about my blog, I always write in English (despite being Portuguese), hence this being quite an amazing piece of news for me :)

Eu queria uma manicure simples mas super alegre e decidi-me por... flores (é novidade? ;))

I wanted a simple but super fun mani and ended up picking... flowers (what news is there? ;))

Comecei com uma base de duas camadas de Bellaoggi Pearl White.

I started with two coats of Bellaoggi Pearl White.

Escolhi depois quatro cores: verde menta, rosa pastilha elástica, vermelho e amarelo e pincelei as pétalas das flores e alguns rabiscos que são qualquer coisa como pétalas ao vento ;)

I then chose four colours: mint green, bubblegum pink, red and yellow and dabbed the flowers' petals and some squiqqles meant to be petals in the wind ;)

Aqui fica um pormenor para conseguirem ver melhor o padrão floral.

Oh! and by the way, to complete the look, I grabbed my dotting tool and outlined each flower.

Hello ladies! :)

Today we have Ana from NailsPT here in the blog!! :D I don't think there's a Portuguese polishaholic soul out there that doesn't know Ana's blog! She was of the first ladies in our country to blog and of course one of the first blogs I started following wayyy back! :) If her blog's name rings a bell on you. maybe its because I already showed two of her beautiful indie polishes here :)  I like to keep up with her manicures because I tend to want (a lot) the polishes she show's us xD Lets see what she prepared (and you might wanna use the google translator gadget on the right superior corner :p)

Hoje temos a minha querida Ana do blog NailsPT aqui no blog!! :D Acho que não há ninguém em Portugal, viciado em vernizes, que não conheça o blog da Ana! Ela foi das primeiras pessoas em Portugal a criar um blog e como tal, foi também dos primeiros que eu comecei a ler há muuito tempo atrás! :) Se por acaso o nome do blog também vos recorda algo, então trata-se dos dois lindos vernizes indies da Ana que mostrei aqui :) Gosto de estar a par das manicures da Ana, mas com juizinho porque esta mulher costuma apresentar vernizes que me fazer abrir a carteira! lol Vamos ver o que a Ana preparou para hoje :)

A furia das Moyou instalou-se pela net, e cá por casa também...

Para começar veio a Pro Collection 04, fiquei in love pelo pássaro, tinha de ser minhaaaaa!!!

Assim que a tive na mão soube de imediato que o Harp on it e o Beyond da Color Club eram perfeitos para a usar e assim foi!

Duas camadas do harp on it, uma camada do Beyond e para o carimbo Konad em branco e preto, adorei o resultado :))

E agora aguardo que cheguem as outras Moyou.. depois da primeira queremos mais e mais e mais!!!!

Guest Post: Vivi Kermeci

Good afternoon chicas! :)

Today I introduce you to Vivi, from Brazil :D She posts her manicures in her Flickr and sometimes blogs on Esmaltaradas bog. I love Vivi's manicures, whether they're glitters (soft spot here) or beautiful nail stamping manicures *_* I'm always eager to find out whats she's wearing xD Vivi owns gorgeous nails and a great imagination. Plus, she's such a sweet person! I'm so proud to have her here! :)

Hoje tenho o prazer de vos introduzir a Vivi do Brasil :D Ela costuma postar as suas manicures no Flickr, mas de vez em quando publica no blog Esmaltaradas. Amo as manicures da Vivi, quer sejam glitters de cair para o lado (que eu amo!) ou lindas estampagens *_* Tou sempre super curiosa de saber o que ela tem nas unhas lol xD A Vivi é dona de umas belas garras e excelente imaginação. Oi, meninas!

Deixa eu me apresentar primeiro, né? Meu nome é Viviane, sou brasileira e moro em São Paulo. Sou casada e tenho 2 gatinhos lindos, o Arthur e a Isadora. Coleciono esmaltes e afins à mais ou menos 4 anos. E fiquei super feliz quando a Cris me convidou pra fazer esse post! Afinal, as unhas dela são maravilhosas, e ela é uma fofa!

Resolvi mostrar pra vocês um esmalte indie feito por uma grande amiga, também brasileira, a Dany Vianna. Os indies dela são lindíssimos e acho que todo mundo deveria conhecer o seu trabalho! A Dany é talentosíssima! E o esmalte escolhido hoje é o Malfoy´s Pet.

O Malfoy´s Pet tem glitters predominantemente brancos, de vários formatos e tamanhos, mas o toque especial fica por conta dos glitters com acabamento mate nas cores lilás e teal, além de glitters holográficos bemmmm pequenos. Esse esmalte foi inspirado nos pavões brancos, e ganhou esse nome porque o animal em questão seria um ótimo mascote pra família Malfoy, de Harry Potter.

Ele é fácil de esmaltar. Os glitters se espalham com facilidade. Seca numa velocidade boa, mas com um pouco de textura, o que é bem comum em glitters. Eu sempre finalizo com um bom top coat, pra um acabamento vitrificado. Usei o Malfoy´s Pet sobre um azul escuro muito lindo, o DS Fantasy.  E super aprovei a combinação!
