Merry Christmas!! & Penélope Luz Gift For You

Hello there and Merry, Merry Christmas!! :))

First of all, I hope you had a great and amazing Christmas eve and day! Mine was gone an hour ago hehe and I had a very nice day :) I also hope you had/have lots of love and presents *-* At this time of the day, I'm normally full (this is the case) and today I decided to share my Christmas manicure with you :) I had barely an hour after work yesterday to have a shower, do my nails and get prepared to go meet my family, so this is what I came up with :)

Antes de mais, espero que tenham tido um excelente e feliz Natal!!! O meu foi excelente :) Também espero que tenham tido muitos presentinhos *-* A esta hora do dia (noite?) estou obviamente bem cheia satisfeita e decidi aproveitar para partilhar convosco a minha manicure de Natal :) Tive cerca de uma hora, depois do trabalho ontem, para tomar banho, arranjar-me, pintar as unhas e sair de casa ao encontro da família... e este foi o resultado :)

This nail art started with Penélope Luz Gift for You polish from last year Christmas collection. I only knew I wanted to use this polish because I got it a while after Christmas and never used it before :p Besides, green & red glitter? Yes, please! lool PL Gift for You also has sparkling golden glitter. I find it to be like a mini Christmas tree, so pretty :) This is a single coat over Purple Professional 18 Black'It and has a very good glitter coverage. In a hurry, it only occurred to me to match it with one of my favorite polishes of the year: Jessica Touch It. I can't express how much I love this polish! The nail art touch was made with the little gift presents (trust me, I wasn't thinking in the resemblance with the polish name at that moment lol!) from MoYou Christmas 01 plate. The stamping polish was of course Barry M Gold Foil Effects :)

Sabia que queria usar este ano o verniz Penélope Luz Gift for You da colecção de Natal do ano passado. Isto porque recebi-o depois no Natal passado e acabei por não o usar até agora. Além disso, um glitter verde, vermelho e dourado?? Sim! :D Acho-o uma mini árvore de Natal lol. Apliquei uma camada sobre o verniz Black'It da Purple Professional. Conjuguei o PL Gift for You com certamente um dos meus vernizes favoritos de 2013: o Jessica Touch It. Adoro-o! O toque de nail art foi feito com prendas da plaquinha MoYou Christmas 04; garanto-vos que não me ocorreu a singularidade do nome do PL com a nail art na altura! LOL! Carimbei com o verniz Barry M Gold Foil Effects :)

I loved this manicure so much! The golden sparkle plus the traditional Christmas trees made me smile when looking at my nails just like when I got my real presents :DDD! I want to see your Christmas manicures too! Leave links in the comments section please :)) Merry Christmas!! Kisses,

Dance Legend #15 Moondust

Olá meninas! :)

I'm a blue polish lover but for some reason not all blue sand polishes appeal to me. Go figure lol. I did take a chance with Dance Legend Moondust over the Summer because it is a darker shade and didn't match anything in the market. So, why not? Good thing is that I don't regret it! :D

Como sabem, sou uma amante de vernizes azuis. Mas por algum motivo, quase nenhum verniz texturizado azul apelou-me ao coração. Portanto, arrisquei-me no Verão quando comprei o Dance Legend Moondust, porque foi o primeiro na colecção. Escolhi-o por ser um azul escuro e lindo, também não vi nada igual no mercado ;) Ainda bem que acabei por não me arrepender! :D

Its gorgeous! :) But one gets her hopes up looking at the bottle and then the beauty isn't transferred to nails. I'm referring to the purple/golden reflexes I see in the bottle. I'm not that sad because I love how Dance Legend looks in nails. It is a sand textured polish (love the matching gritty lid!) with a blue matte pigment and shiny blue shimmer. Loved the application but didn't like the drying time. It took some time to dry. Now there's something I'm really frustrated which is durability. So, I did this manicure in a Friday (for the entire weekend) and then Saturday as I was dish washing, big pieces of polish started chipping and coming off! Gahhh! My right hand was immediately ruined! Good thing I took the polish with me in case something happened.

Não há dúvidas de que é lindo! :) Mas uma pessoa fica entusiasmada com o que vê no frasco que depois desilude quando não passa para as unhas. Refiro-me aos reflexos roxos/dourados que se nota no frasco nalgumas fotos. Contudo, não desanimei porque adoro como fica nas unhas! É um verniz texturizado com acabamento arenoso (adoro a tampinha a combinar!), com um pigmento azul que fica matte e shimmer azul e brilhante. Gostei da aplicação mas não do tempo de secagem; é lento a secar.  Mas o que realmente fez-me passar dos carretos foi a durablidade... Chicas, pintei as unhas na sexta-feira para o fim de semana todo; ora, no sábado estava a lavar a loiça e eis que o verniz começa a descascar e saem grandes pedaços?? Gahhhhh!!! A mão direita ficou competamente arruinada! O que vale é que tinha levado o verniz comigo por precaução!

Regarding my ring nail art, it is a gradient featuring Jessica Touch It, Zoya Carter and Dance Legend Moondust. I was surprise by how well sand polishes blend :) Then I stamped the flower image from Pueen 49 plate with Barry M Gold Foil Effects. It looks like the flowers are bursting from the cuticles and I love it! *_* 

Relativamente à nail art no dedo anelar, fiz um gradiente com os vernizes Jessica Touch It, Zoya Carter e Dance Legend Moondust. Fiquei bastante surpresa porque os vernizes misturaram bastante bem, mesmo com este acabamento :D Depois carimbei as flores da placa Pueen 49 com o verniz Barry M Gold Foil Effects. Parece que as flores estã a surgir da cutícula e adoro o efeito *_*

Overall, I love the polish but there's many buts lol. Its also hard to get and one needs to struggle in online webstores and face cart jacking to get it. Is it worth it? Thats a discussable subject. I bought mine in the official Dance Legend website, but waited near 3 months for it to arrive (slow Russian mail). I may take my chances in a webstore now lol. Also, Dance Legend keeps releasing new collections... and I'm honestly lost with whats new or not hehehe. Do you own any sand polish from Dance Legend? Does it have the same durability as mine? Did you like this baby? I'm now going to prepare to go to today's Opening Event of Kate's Kare in Lisbon (with Kinetics polishes) and I'll talk to you soon :) Kisses,

No geral, adoro o verniz mas há muitos "mas" lol. Outra questão que vale a pena referir é que esta marca não é fácil de comprar. Uma pessoa precisa sujeitar-se ao stock de lojas online e enfrentar possíveis roubos no carrinho de compra. É um assunto discutivel. Até porque eu comprei os meus directamente no site oficial da marca, mas esperei quase 3 meses que chegassem (porque o correio russo é leeento). Acho que na próxima vez vou-me ficar pelas lojas online lol. Por outro lado, a Dance Legend não pára de lançar novas colecções! Jassuss, tou super confusa com o que é novo ou não O.o. Mas adiante, têm algum verniz sand da Dance Legend? A durabilidade também é péssima? Gostaram deste verniz? Vou agora preparar-me para a Inauguração da loja Kate's Kare em Lisboa (com vernizes Kinetics!), por isso até breve! :) Beijinhos,

Jade Black Tie & Golden and Black Roses & In Beauty manicure

Hola guapas!! :)

Its about time I shared the golden & Black manicure I used in day 1 of the In Beauty beauty fair, right?? There are pictures in my Instagram and Facebook, but its not the same as having better ones :p. I had this idea of golden roses over a white background all Summer in my mind. But given my focus on thesis delivery I didn't have time to do it. So, I decided to do them for the In Beauty event! :) It was actually the first time I knew what I wanted 24h before the event hahah (right B?) ;)

Já estava mais do que na altura de partilhar a manicure dourada e preta que usei no primeiro dia da feira In Beauty, certo?? Quase um mês depois cof cof. Há algumas fotos disponíveis no meu Instagram e Facebook, mas claro que imagens maiores e nítidas são sempre preferíveis ;) A ideia de criar rosas douradas sobre um fundo branco residiu o Verão inteiro na minha cabecinha. Mas a falta de tempo e conentração na entrega da tese impediram-me de a passar para a realidade. Então, decidi que faria para a feira In Beauty em Lisboa! :) Na verdade, foi a primeira vez que soube o que queria fazer 24h antes de algum evento lool (não foi B?) :p

And who do you see here? My beloved golden Jéssica Touch It (I want all the golden sand polishes of the world!) and the gorgeous Jade Black Tie from the Jade Special Glitz collection. This Jade is something very special! Not only it is a black jelly polish with holographic microglitter but it also contains small golden flecks. Its beautiful! On direct light you have a beautiful holo shine and in shadows the golden flecks show up. Also, it takes only two coats to cover nails and it dries fast. Well done Jade! :) I won't write about Jéssica Touch It because I did it before here :p.

E que temos aqui? Temos o meu amado Jéssica Touch It (quero todos os vernizes dourados e arenosos do Mundo!) e o lindão Jade Black Tie da colecção Jade Special Glitz. Este Jade é algo de especial! Não só é um verniz jellly preto com microglitter holográfico, como também possui na sua composição flocos dourados. É lindo! Com luz directa vemos todo o brilho holográfico, enquanto na sombra são os flocos dourados que dão o ar de sua graça :) Para cobrir as unhas bastaram duas camadas, que secaram rápido. Parabéns Jade, este verniz foi muito bem conseguido! :) Não me vou alongar sobre o Jéssica Touch It porque já o fiz neste post :p

So... one thing is to imagine and the other to pick proper colors lol. Don't get me wrong, I loved this manicure SO MUCH!! But I wanted the roses to be more noticeable. I guess its hard to have different golden polishes working together. The shades I picked for the golden roses were OPI Skull & Glossbones, Barry M Gold Nail Effects and Zoya Godiva. For the leafs I used regular black polish. The white base is Kinetics KP001 Begginings. The two middle nails also have a coat of OPI Matte Top Coat.

Bom... uma coisa é imaginar e outra é passar para a realidadee com as cores certas lol. Não me interpretem mal, ADOREI imenso esta manicure!! Mas queria que as rosas fossem mais visíveis. Parece-me que é difícil conjugar dourados. Os vernizes usados nas rosas douradas foram o OPI Skull & Glossbones, BarryM Gold Nail Effects e Zoya Godiva. Nas folhas usei um verniz preto que já não me recordo qual. A base branca é o verniz Kinetics KP001 Begginings. Terminei com uma camada do top coat OPI Matt Top Coat.

Bárbara advised me to put some brown in my roses. But I was stubborn and wanted them golden lol :p Anyway, I'll try this sometime in the future because now I have an even more detailed brush (purchased at the beauty fair)! :D What do you think?? A Bárbara sugeriu que eu colocasse castanho nas rosas. Mas sou teimosa e queria mesmo rosas douradas lol :p Seja como for, vou tentar esta manicure de novo no futuro, até porque agora tenho um pincel mais detalhado (vindo da In Beauty!) para fazer rosas mais bonitas! :D Que vos parece?? OPI Alcatraz...Rocks & Jéssica Touch It

What is you favorite OPI from the OPI San Francisco collection? Mine is without a doubt OPI Alcatraz... Rocks! *-* I ordered mine in Transdesign and as seen as it arrived I changed my manicure hahaha :p I also bought Jéssica Touch It and I have to say it is more gorgeous than I anticipated!

Qual é o vosso OPI favorito da colecção OPI San Francisco? O meu é sem dúvida alguma o OPI Alcatraz...Rocks! *-* Comprei o meu no mês passado na Transdesign e assim que chegou saltou para as unhas hahaha :p Também comprei o Jéssica Touch It que deixem-me já dizer que é mais lindo do que tinha antecipado!

But lets start from the beginning. My first love was OPI Alcatraz Rocks and hence the first in my nails. What a beautiful blue!! Either in sand form or shiny as you can see in the nail art *_* It also contains a beautiful shimmer that shines gold, purple and blue. Alcatraz... Rocks is definitely one of my favorite polishes from 2013 as well as in my collection! This is two coats, very easy to apply and dries fast.

Mas vamos começar pelo princípio. O primeiro amor foi o OPI Alcatraz Rocks e consequentemente o primeiro a ser usado. Que azul lindo!! Tanto na forma sand (arenoso) como com top coat *_* Contém também um shimmer lindo que brilha dourado, roxo e azul. Sem dúvida que o OPI Alcatraz...Rocks é um dos meus vernizes favoritos de 2013, além de na minha colecção claro :) Foram duas camadas muito fáceis de aplicar e que secaram rápido.

Jéssica Touch It is another gorgeous and most welcome polish in my house! It is a golden champagne sand with silver hexs *-*. As you can see I did a mix n' match nail art, which I loved but wasn't planned heheh :) The pinky finger is two coats of OPI Alcatraz...Rocks with a coat of an old (and thick) Seche Vite top coat. In the ring nail we have two coats of OPI Road House Blues; then it was stamped with the beautiful peacock pattern from Betina B-07 plate and Barry M Gold foil effects. Still on the same nail, I did purple dots with Ellen Gold Burguesinha. Et voilá!! Absolute love!!

O verniz Jéssica Touch It é outro que encheu-me as medidas! É um verniz com tom dourado champanhe, acabamento sand e glitter hexagonal prata *_*. Como podem ver, fiz uma nail art mix n' match que por acaso não estava planeada. Adorei! :) O dedo minidnho contém duas camadas do OPI Alcatraz... Rocks com uma camada do top coat velhinho (e já grosso) Seche Vite. No dedo anelar comecei por pintar duas camadas do verniz OPI Road House Blues e depois carimbei o belo padrão de pavão da placa Betina B-07 com o verniz Barry M Gold Foild Effects; finalmente fiz as bolinhas com o boleador e o verniz Ellen Gold Burguesinha. Et Voilá!! Amor incondicional!!

The best compliment I received was to make a friend use blue when she never did so! lool Actually, two friends used the same polishes as me after a nail session afternoon :) Its a shame that Transdesign shipping is so damn expensive now or else I'd probably get some more things hihi :) Have you ordered there before? O melhor elogio que podia ter tido com esta manicure foi convencer uma amiga a usar verniz azul pela primeira vez e adorar! lool Aliás, duas amigas usaram os mesmos vernizes que eu após um tarde de sessão de unhas :) É uma pena que os portes da Transdesign sejam tão caros senão faria mais uma comprinha hihi :) Já alguma vez compraram lá? P.S: A título de curiosidade, há duas semanas encontrei o OPI Alcatraz... Rocks na Sephora do Almada Forum... mas abandonado! Não vi nada do resto da colecção; aliás, a colecção mais recente lá ainda é a OPI Euro Central -.-'
