GL Nails Fluorescente Gel Polish Collection Review

Hello guys! :)

Today I bring you the latest gel polish additions to the Gift of Life collection launched by GL Nails :) It has three glow in the dark gel polishes, two of which are bright neons. Each bottle contains 15ml as opposed to the regular 8ml ones. They require both base and gel polish top coat, hence I used Purple Professional Base&Top Verniz Gel LED. With the exception of Pink Panther, the other two gel polishes are quite pigmented and surprised me in that department! I'm talking about two thin coats to achieve full nail coverage :) Each coat takes 1 min do cure under LED light or 2 min under UV light. I experienced no shrinking or cuticle flooging given that the gel polish consistency is good. The awesome part of this collection is that it glows in the dar and the glowing is quite strong and amazing! But it was impossible for me to capture that glow :( I wanted to show you and also show the nail arts in the dark... but neither my camera or phone cooperated bah.

Hoje trago-vos a mais recente adição de vernizes gel à colecção Um Presente Para a Vida da GL Nails :) É composta por três vernizes fluorescentes. i.e, vernizes neon que brilham no escuro; dois deles são neon vivos e um tem uma cor mais suave e discreta. Ao contrário dos outros vernizes gel da marca com 8ml, estes têm 15ml cada frasco. Esta nova adição à linha requer tanto base como top coat, de modo que usei o Purple Professional Base&Top Verniz Gel LED para cumprir ambas as funções. Não identifiquei nenhum encolhimento ou escorrimento para a cutícula, além de que a consistência do verniz gel é boa e fácil de aplicar :) Cada camada é curada na lâmpada LED por 1 min ou 2min se na lâmpada UV. O espectacular destes três vernizes é que brilham no escuro (e bem forte!), mas a minha câmara e telemóvel não são capazes de captar a fluorescência :( Tentei... com muito pouco sucesso, mas acreditem em mim que brilham muito!

Lets start with GL Nails Pink Panther. This is a soft girly pink that guess what, I adore ^^ What I wasn't too fond is that it required four thin coats to achieve an even coverage. But I guess that if you like sheer finishes, 2/3 coats is great. A girly color makes for a girly nail art, right? I picked a flower pattern from Fab Ur Nails FUN 13 stamping plate and stamp it with Mundo de Uñas Mexican Pink. Finally, I placed a few rhinestones and cured everything in a Led light :) 

Vamos começar pelo GL Nails Pink Panther. Este é um rosa feminino e delicado que adivinhem, adoro imenso pois claro! ^^ Só não gostei das quatro camadas que apliquei para cobrir as unhas; mas quem gosta do acabamento sheer pode usar duas ou três camadas. E porque uma cor feminina pede uma nail art feminina, por que não flores? Assim foi :p Carimbei o padrão da placa Fab Ur Nails FUN 13 com o verniz de carimbo Mundo de Uñas Mexican Pink. Depois coloquei alguns rhinestones da loja BPS e selei tudo com o top coat Purple Professional xx na lâmpada LED. Gostei muito! <3

Then we have GL Nails Summer Love, the bright neon orange of the collection.  Although I can see it is a beautiful color, I don't really think it suits me (maybe if I was tan - no beach for me this year). What do you think? I do think however that it is a gorgeous color for Summer and night out parties & drinks with that gorgeous glow :D

De seguida temos o verniz gel GL Nails Summer Love. É um laranja neon e bastante pigmentado, sendo que apliquei duas camadas. Não é aquele neon que dói os olhos, mas é bastante vibrante e chamativo. Acho que esta cor resulta melhor em pessoas mais morenas que eu (até porque este ano ainda não fui à praia). É óptimo para arrasar na praia e na noite com o brilho no escuro :D

Last, but not least, we have the neon pink GL Nails Poppy. I also loved this one *-* The neon is not too much in your face, but enough to be noticed anywhere :p The glow in the dark is also super great and calls for everyone's attention haha. For the nail art, I used to images: the roses design from Fab Ur Nails FUN 13 and the leafs from Marianne Nails 50 plates. The stamping polishes used were Mundo de Uñas 43 Papyrus and Mundo de Uñas 56 Spring Green. I loved it! :)

Por fim, mas não menos importante temos o verniz gel neon rosa GL Nails Poppy. Gostei bastante desta cor e da sua pigmentação - foram duas camadas. O brilho no escuro é também excelente e é uma pena que eu não tenha conseguido captar como deve ser buahh! Na nail art que fiz usei dois desenhos: as rosas da placa FUN 13 carimbadas com o verniz Mundo de Uñas 46 Papyrus e as folhas da placa Marianne Nails 50, carimbadas com o MdU 56 Spring Green :)

Sunday Stamping Challenge: Plate Ending in 0

Hey gorgeous! :)

Today's AIS challenge theme is stamping with a plate ending in 0. Easy peasy! ;) I would like to name this manicure "winter roses" or " Winterfell winter roses" haha.

O tema de hoje do desafio AIS é carimbar com uma placa que termine em 0. Não podia ser mais fácil! :) Vou designar esta manicure de "rosas invernais" ou "rosas invernais de Winterfell" hehe.

I suppose there are several winter roses out there, but for me it means a blue frost rose. That is why I used several shades of blue to color my roses with the leadlight stamping technique. But first, I started by painting my nails white and then with OPI Pirouette My Whistle (to achieve the frosty winter look). This image in particular belongs to Marianne Nails 50 plate and was stamped with Dashica Black polish.

Presumo que existam vários tipos de rosas de Inverno, mas a imagem que me vem à cabeça é de rosas azuis com geada. Por isso usei a técnica de carimbo leadlight com diversos azuis. Mas comecei antes por pintar as unhas de branco e de seguida com o verniz OPI Pirouette My Whistle (na tentativa de conseguir o efeito da geada/neve). O desenho das rosas em particular pertence à placa Marianne Nails 50 e foi carimbado com o verniz Dashica Black.

Kiko 519 Blu Cobalto & Purple Professional 79 Saphire

Happy Saturday! :) Today I bring you a simple blue floral nail art that fits a relaxing mood :p At least that was how I felt when I did it a while back.

Espero que estejam a ter um óptimo Sábado de descanso... ou de limpezas! heheh. Hoje quero partilhar convosco uma manicure que fiz há algum tempo atrás que tem assim uma vibe calmante, adequada ao fim de semana. Pelo menos sentia-me assim quando a fiz :p

This manicure started with Kiko 519 Blue Cobalto... how gorgeous is it blue polish lovers?? *-* There's not much to say about the color as the name says it all heheh. The formula was fantastic and it is super pigmented, almost a one coater :) The flowers design belongs to Marianne Nails 50 plate and was stamped with Mundo de Uñas 42 Holland Blue polish. In the index finger I painted Purple Professional Saphire, a dense silver & blue sparkly glitter from the Precious Stones collection. 

Esta nail art começou com o verniz Kiko 519 Blu Cobalto... que é absolutamente lindo!! *-* O nome diz tudo acerca da cor... e para complementar, a formula é óptima! É pigmentado e uma camada é quase suficiente para cobrir toda a unha :) O padrão das flores pertence à placa Marianne Nails 50 e foi carimbado com o verniz azul Mundo de Uñas 42 Holland Blue. No dedo indicador apliquei o verniz Purple Professional Saphire, da colecção Precious Stones. Este é um glitter prata e azul, denso e super brilhante... finalmente meu! :p

I love the blue contrast in this manicure as well as the sweet feeling ^^ Yep, back to my roots I'd say lol. How do you fancy this nail art? Kisses and enjoy your weekend!

Endless Summer Challenge: Tropical

Hola guapas! :)

And we are getting close to the end of the Endless Summer Challenge where we aim to extend Summer during September. Today's theme is Tropical. What can be more tropical than hibiscus flowers and neon colors? :)

Estamos a chegar ao fim do desafio Endless Summer Challenge, no qual prolongámos o Verão durante Setembro, por intermédio de nail art. O tema de hoje é "tropical". O que é que pode ser mais tropical do que tons neon e flores hibiscus? (muita coisa eheheh!)

This was an easy manicure to do since I already knew what I wanted. I started by painting the black polish and placing two neon pink round studs from Born Pretty Store. Then, I did a Summer gradient with Essie Find Me an Oasis, Essie In The Cab-Ana and China Glaze Escaping Reality. The neon pink China Glaze is what makes this manicure pop! Finally, I stamped in black the hibiscus flowers from Marianne Nails 50 plate :)

Como já sabia o que queria, a manicure foi fácil de fazer. Comecei por pintar as unhas com preto e colocar duas tachas redondas neon rosa da loja BPS. Depois, fiz o gradiente nas unhas do meio com os vernizes Essie Find Me an Oasis, Essie In The Cab-Ana e China Glaze Escaping Reality. Acho que é este rosa neon que dá o maior factor de destaque a esta nail art :) Terminei com o carimbo de flores hibiscus da placa francesa Marianne Nails 50 :)

Roby Nails Green Diamond Review & Half Moon Nail Art

Today I bring you my review of Roby Nails Green Diamond* from the Nail Dress collection. This is the last polish I have from this Italian brand and it sort of reminds me of Christmas :)

Hoje trago-vos a review do verniz Roby Nails Green Diamond* da colecção Nail Dress :) É o último verniz que tenho para vos mostrar desta marca Italiana e de certo modo, lembra-me a época Natalícia :p

Green Diamond has a dark green shade and dries to a nearly foil finish. The silver metallic particles are very evident and give a dazzling shine. I don't find it as pigmented as Roby Nails Vanity Lilac from the same collection, but it covers nails in two coats and is easy to apply. The brush is flat and smooth. Due to the formula, there are a few visible brushstrokes after Green Diamon dries...

O verniz Roby Nails Green Diamond tem um tom verde escuro e seca com acabamento quase foil. O brilho é ofuscante devido às partículas metálicas. Não o achei tão pigmentado como o verniz Roby Nails Vanity Lilac da mesma colecção, mas cobre as unhas com duas camadas. É fácil de aplicar devido ao pincel suave e achatado, mas depois de seco ficam marcas do pincel que não gostei por aí além...

... that is why I mattified everything and love it best this way! :) Possibly in Christmas I'll wear it with its glory. About the half moons nail art, I applied a white base and stamped the image from Marianne Nails 50 plate with Dashica Black polish.

... e foi por isso que matifiquei tudo com o verniz OPI Matte Top Coat. Prefiro esta versão, se bem que acredito que vou usar o verniz Green Diamond na sua versão original no Natal :) Relativamente à nail art de meia lua, pintei de branco e depois carimbei o desenho da placa Marianne Nails 50 com o verniz Dashica Blask.

Dermacelsia 81

Hola guapas! :)

Who doesn't love to use bright colors during the hot days? I don't even consider what I'm doing and just pick a pretty bright colors. One of them is Dermacelsia 81 from the Summer 2014 collection (check the purple Dermacelsia 82 from the same collection :p).

Quem é que não gosta de usar vernizes vibrantes nos dias de calor? Dou por mim a escolher este tipo de vernizes sem sequer me aperceber do que estou a fazer hehehe. E foi este o caso do Dermacelsia 81, pertencente à colecção de Verão 2014 da marca (mostrei-vos anteriormente o Dermacelcia 82 da mesma colecção :p).

I wouldn't call it a true neon, but it does have a very bright feeling to it. I find the color hard to describe... possibly a soft orange with coral undertones. Depending on the light, you get more orange or more coral. Dermacelsia 81 is a jelly polish and I applied three coats for camera, two coats in my other hand :p I liked the formula. As for the nail art, I debuted my new Marianne Nails 50 plate with this lovely flower design. As you can see, it stamped very neatly and I had no issue with it. The stamping white polish was Dashica White.

Não chamaria o acabamento deste verniz de neon, mas sem dúvida que tem um toque bem vivo. A cor é difícil de descrever... parece-me um laranja com subtom coral; ora temos laranja, ora coral. O verniz Dermacelsia 81 tem acabamento jelly, sendo que apliquei tês camadas para as fotos e duas na outra mão :p Gostei da formula, fácil de manusear. Quanto à nail art, eis que estreei a minha nova placa Marianne Nails 50 :D Escolhi este desenho porque acho-o bonito e como podem ver, não tive nenhum problema a carimbar. Usei o verniz branco Dashica Black.

To spice things up I placed round golden studs from a Verniz de Luxo wheel. I LOVE the result! Nothing too extravagant but super cute! What do you think? Is this something you would wear? Kisses,
