Kinetics Hedonist Collection - Review & Nail Art

Hola guapas!

Hope you had a very nice Halloween! :) I didn't celebrate it at all this year 'cause I wasn't in the mood, but I hope everyone else had a nice day ;) November is here and along with it Autumn at last reached Lisbon! And don't you just love to have new shiny nail polishes to grace your nails in these cold days? I sure do and I want to share with you my thoughts and swatches of the new Fall collection by Kinetics - Hedonist!

Espero que tenham tido um excelente Halloween e um muito reconfortante feriado a meio da semana! :p Este ano não celebrei, mas pelo que vi nas ruas de Lisboa, muita gente se divertiu! :D Agora que Novembro chegou, com ele veio o Outono (finalmente!). E quem é que não gosta de agraciar as suas mãozinhas com cores mais escuras, reconfortantes e sexy?? Tudo isto e muito mais na nova colecção de Outono da Kinetics - Hedonist!

The theme underneath this collection is pleasure and the search of it, be it carnal ou spiritual (or other the soul craves for). Hedonist. This collection has 8 quite innocent as well as super sexy shades. I'm reviewing the SolarGel line but the brand also released the same collection in their Shield gel polish line.

O tema desta colecção é sem dúvida a busca do prazer. Seja prazer espiritual, prazer sexual ou outro prazer que satisfaça essa necessidade Humana. A colecção tem 8 tons tanto "inocentes" como super sexy e poderosos. Abaixo mosto-vos swatches dos tons SolarGel, sendo que a marca lançou exactamente as mesmas cores também em verniz gel Shield para profissionais!

Let's start with Kinetics Lost Soul, such a glamourous shade of pink with a hint of lavender in it. This is a fool proff color to any elegant and trendy outfit. Kinetics terms it the "Flawless color of ballerina slippers". I applied three coats of Kinetics followed by a coat of the Kinetics SolarGel top coat. Lost Soul is the sheerest nail polish of the collection.

Vamos começar com o verniz Kinetics Lost Soul. Tem uma cor rosa glamouroso com um toque de lavanda. É sem dúvida uma cor perfeita para qualquer conjunto trendy e elegante este Outono. Apliquei três camadas do Lost Soul seguido de uma camada do top coat SolarGel. É o verniz com a formula mais fina da colecção.

Next we have Kinetics Wasted Beauty. Love the name, the warm shade, everything! Wasted Beauty has a sort of grapefruit shade of apricot salmon. With tho easy flawless coats you get the look below. Isn't it delicious?? I may have to go make dinner... hahaha!

De seguida temos o verniz Kinetics Wasted Beauty. Adorei o nome, a cor, tudo! A cor é tão... não sei, doce que acho-a apetecível (não estou maluca!). A cor não é fácil de definir... algo entre o tom rosa salmão com toques de toranja e pêssego. Apliquei duas deliciosas camadas (hehe).

Kinetics Body Language is the closest nude shade to my own skin. I like it! It's an earthy shade that proves to be perfect for any women in any ocassion, very versatille.  Also, quite pigmented which is always a must! This is two coats finished with Kinetics SolarGel top coat. 

O tom nude mais similar ao meu tom de pele é o do verniz Kinetics Body Language. Adoro! Tem um cor bastante terrena, avelã claro. A pigmentação é excelente e o verniz cobre com duas camadas. É bastante versátil para nós mulheres, seja em que ocasião for.

I thought the nude shade would go well with brown and hence I picked this flowers nail art. The flowers come from B. Loves Plates B.02 Flower Power stamping plate as were stamped with DRK Nails Marrom Metálico stamping polish. I finished with matte top coat and brown rhinestone. I'm yet not entirely sure the final result was the best color match to my skin though.

Achei que este tom nude iria ficar perfeito com castanho, pelo que fiz uma nail art com flores. Carimbei-as da placa B. Loves. Plates B.02 Flower Power com o verniz DRK Nails Marrom Metálico. Finalizei com top coat matte e rhinestones castanhos. Contudo, não tenho ainda a certeza que o resultado final tenha sido o melhor escolhido para o meu tom de pele.

Kinetics Ex's is a muted warm lavender taupe polish. Quite elegant also in my opinion. Two lovely coats was all it took to cover my nails. 

O verniz Kinetics Ex's é um tom taupe lavanda com cinza. É também bastante elegante e feminino. Apliquei duas camadas.

Kinetics Ex's is such an elegant shade that it begs for an also elegant nail art. I obliged of course :p If you remember, Kinetics Portugal now carries B Loves plates stamping plates and I was able to purchase a couple ones at In Beauty in October. O picked the design from B Loves Plates B.06 Classy & Chic stamping plate and stamped in white with Messy Mansion Chalk stamping polish.

O tom do verniz Kinetics Ex's é tão elegante que optei também por uma nail art simples. Como a marca passou também a revender as placas de carimbo B Loves Plates, tive a oportunidade de comprar algumas na In Beauty e para esta nail art, escolhi o desenho da placa B. Loves Plates B.06 Classy & Chic. Carimbei com o verniz de carimbo branco Messy Mansion Chalk.

Next we have Kinetics I'm Not That Kind, a very deep neon violet shade. It has a thick pigmentaion and dries to a mate finish. Although I like the color, I personally don't think it adds to the collection. 

Temos agora o verniz Kinetics I'm Not That Kind que tem um tom violeta neon profundo. A pigmentação é bastante boa e seca com acabamento matte. Apesar de gostar da cor, não acho que seja um tom necessário a esta coleção.

Being so pigmented, I found it the perfect color to try out the swirly nail art design ft. a thin brush and Kinetics Wasted Beauty. 

Visto que o verniz é tão pigmentado, foi a escolha ideal para experimentar fazer esta nail art com um pincel fininho, o verniz ainda molhado e com o verniz Kinetics Wasted Beauty.

Moving to the darkest color os the collection, we find ourselves in the territory of a duty army green shade. A very earthy indeed. One I wasn't fond of initially but really grew out on my and I used it. This is two coats of Kinetics Dangerous Game (love the name!!).

Indo de encontro aos tons mais escuros da coleção, chegamos a um verde militar com bastante cinza. Um tom bastante terreno sem dúvida. Confesso que não gostei... até que comecei a usar e percebi como é belo! Duas camadas do verniz Kinetics Dangerous Game (adoro o nome!):

You wouldn't believe how well Dangerous Game combines with the other colors of the collection. For that matter, I picked a color combo and went with it. I used a small brush to freehand some flowers and ta-da! haha In my middle nails the base is Kinetics Lost Sould and for the flowers I picked Kinetics Hedonist Red and Wasted Beauty.

Não vão acreditar como o verniz Dangerous Game combina tão bem com as outras cores da coleção! Eu gostei tanto que escolhi uma combinação de cores e aventurei-me a desenhar umas flores. Usei um pincel fininho claro. Não está perfeito, mas eu gostei :p. Nas unhas do meio usei como base o verniz Lost Soul e nas flores os vernizes Hedonist Red e Wasted Beauty.

Kinetics Senseles Desire... is such a damn sexy vibrant red people! Very sensual and warm, please get it! haha The color of passion and love, a must have for this Fall! I had to apply three coats for a flawless finish. 

Kinetics Senseless Desire... que tom vermelho sexy e vibrante! Super sensual e quente, façam favor de comprar! É a cor desta Estação! <3 Apliquei três camadas para um acabamento espetacular.

Speaking of senseless desire, my love for roses never ends... this time, I found it in B. Loves Plates B.02 Flower Power stamping plate. I stamped these roses with MoYou London Black Knight over a dust of gold glitter and Kinetics Senseless Desire.

E por falar em desejo, o meu amor por rosas parece interminável no que concerne a placas de carimbo.. desta vez encontrei-as na placa de carimbo B. Loves Plates B.02 Flower Power. Por cima do verniz Kinetics Senseless Desire apliquei um pouco de glitter dourado e carimbei as rosas com o verniz de carimbo MoYou London Black Knight.

Last, but certainly not least, meet Kinetics Hedonist Red - my favorite color of the collection! *-* Deep, bloody red - the color of life and desire. Must, must, must have! Thow easy peasy coats for full coverage:

Por último, mas não menos importante, temos o verniz Kinetics Heodonist Red - a minha cor preferida da coleção! *-* É um vermelho sangue escuro, sexy, poderoso, caliente... a cor do desejo e da vida! É favor comprar, não há por onde errar! <3 Apliquei duas camadas para total cobertura das minhas unhas.

I went for a radial nail art with the colors that captivated the most as soon as I opened the box and after an IG poll. My base for the nail art is Kinetics Hedonist Red, Wasted Beauty and Lost Soul in the middle. I stamped over the gradient a radial flower design from MoYou London Flower Power 14 stamping plat. LOVE it!

Assim que abri a caixa apeteceu-me logo fazer um gradiente com as cores que mais me atraíram e após uma sondagem no Instagram, optei por um gradiente radial. Os vernizes usado foram o Hedonist Red, Wasted Beauty e no centro o Lost Soul. Terminei carimbando por cima uma flor também radial da placa MoYou London Flower Power 14. AMEI!

Not that Autumn is here, I could't resist doing the typical leafs nail art. Sue me haha! Besides, the Hedonist collection has such earthy shades... For my base I picked Kinetics Why Not my friend and for the leafs Kinetics Dangerous Game, Senseless Desire and Body Language. This is the reverse stamping nail art in action and for the stamping polishes I used DRK Nails Marrom Metálico, Laranja Perolado and Nude Metálico. <3 <3 I loove it! I mattified everything after the poll in instagram ;) The leafs belong to Creative SHope 24 stamping plate.

Agora que o Outono chegou não há como resistir e fazer uma manicure com folhas e os seus tons Outonais. E ainda por cima a colecção Hedonist tem cores tão térreas... Para a base escolhi o verniz Kinetics Why Not My Friends e nas folhas usei os vernizes Dangerous Game, Senseless Desire e Body Language. Para carimbar usei os vernizes DRK Nails Marrom Metálico, Laranja Perolado e Nude Metálico. <3 <3 Adoro!!! Acabei por usar um top coat matte depois da votação no Instagram :p As folhas pertencem à placa de carimbo Creative Shop 24.

What I've been up to - nail arts part I

Hello there! ;)

Long time, no see right? Well, I've been really busy trying to take my driving licence so I can find more time to spend around here. Hope you're doing well ;) Despite how busy I am, I always manage to find time to paint my nails (of course!) and I thought instead of posting a single manicure a time, why not post 5?? Yeah, much better for me and for your eyes ;) 

Há quanto tempo, não é?! Bom, a verdade é que continuo bastante ocupada e agora estou a tirar a carta de condução, a ver se começo a ter tempo para vir para a blogosfera da vida ;) Mas mesmo tendo pouco tempo, não descurei de modo algum a manicure e continuo a pintar as unhas :p Então e em vez de publicar manicure a manicure, decidi fazer um conjunto de posts com várias manicures para recuperaro tempo perdido :p É mais fácil para mim e mais engraçado para os vossos olhos :p

Lets start with flowers! This is by Dany Vianna Dark Sky, a gorgeous blue glitter mix - beautiful! I stamped the flower image from Creative Shop stamping plate with BPS pink stamping polish and finished with some BPS rhinestones.

Vamos começar com flores! Este verniz é o by Dany Vianna Dark Sky, um gliter lindíssimo com vários tons de azul. Infelizmente era edição limitada e penso que já não vende mais. Carimbei as flores da placa Creative Shop 41 e com uma verniz de carimbo rosa da loja Born Pretty Store. Finalizei com rhinestones da mesma loja.

Nest we have more flowers, but in a more discrete nail art. This is China Glaze Spring in my Step stamped in grey with Creative Shop 30 stamping plate and MoYou London Silver Fox stamping polish. Love the combo!

De seguida temos mais flores, mas desta feita numa combinação mais discreta. Utilizei o verniz China Glaze Spring In My Step e carimbei com o verniz de carimbo cinzento MoYou Silver Fox as flores da placa de carimbo Creative Shop 41. Amei esta combinação!

Now I have a real Summer beach-y themed nail art I used during my Summer vacations. I loooved it! The base is ILNP That Other Girl stamped with DRK Nails DRK-D stamping plate using Messy Mansion Carbon stamping polish. I went a bit crazy and used a lot of different studs and rhinestones from BP Stroe <3

Agora temos uma manicure com vibes de Verão; foi esta que usei nas minhas férias de Verão e ameiii! O verniz base é o ILNP That Other Girl, carimbado com a rede da placa de carimbo DRK-D e com o verniz preto de carimbo Messy Mansion Carbon. Depois coloquei vários tipos de rhinestones e pérolas para obter o look prais. Adorei!

Next is a nail art feturing geometric designs from Messy Mansion Symetrika 03 stamping plate. This stamping plate has a lot of geometric designs you can use for so many different nail arts! I chose the below one and paired it with Essie In The Cabana. The stamping polish is DRK Nails Marrom Metálico. As for my pinky, I applied DRK Nails Nude Metálico polish and a coat of matte top coat.

De seguida temos um design geométrico que consegui utilizando a placa de carimbo Messy Mansion Simetrika 03. Esta placa tem imensos desenhos geométricos que podem resultar em manicures muito interessantes ;) Escolhi o desenho abaixo, combinando com o verniz Essie In The Cabana. O verniz de carimbo utilizado foi o DRK Marrom Metálico. No dedo mindinho usei o verniz DRK Nails Nude Metálico com top coat matte.

The last manicure of this post features a powerfull holographic nail polish, Fun Lacquer Powerful! What a gorgeous red! <3 It's so gorgeous that I did a simple nail art applying triangle studs from BP Store.

A última manicure deste post é com um verniz vermelho holográfico deslumbrante, o Fun Lacquer Powerful! Que verniz mais lindo! <3 É tão bonito que não o quis esconder de modo algum e fiz uma nail art muito simples com studs triangulares da loja Born Pretty.

Kinetics Escape Spring/Summer 2017 Collection Review

Hope you're enjoying an awesome Sunday, because I am! ;) I've been posting sneak peeks about the new Spring/Summer collection by Kinetics in my Instagram page. Have you seen any? Without further ado, allow me to introduce you to Kinetics Escape collection:

Espero que estejam a desfrutar de um excelente Domingo! :) Tenho postado algumas images da nova colecção Primavera/Verão da Kinetics no Instagram... viram? Mas deixei-me antes de mais mostar-vos a coleção:

Lots of vibrant colors, right?? :D I love these shades and how the press release starts: "Have you ever wanted to Escape"? Yes! 

Bastantas cores vibrantes não é? :D Adoro os tons e como começa a press release da colecção "Alguma vez quiseste Escapar"? Sim, sem dúvida!

This collection has 8 shades and overall, they apply in two coats and even out very smoothly. I think the formula changed a bit since the winter collection in terms of thickness; the formula is now less thick, but it's something not really noticeable unless you're analysing like me :p Drying time continues to be superb as well as the shine ;) Regardless, I still advise you apply a coat of Kinetics SolarGel top coat or Kinetics Kwik Kote top coat (my favorite).

A colecção contém 8 cores que em geral, são aplicadas em duas camadas que se espalham de modo uniforme nas unhas. Parece-me que a formula está menos espessa que as últimas colecções, mas é algo muito discreto que só notam se estiverem a analisar ao detalhe como eu :p O tempo de secagem continua excelente e o brilho também ;) De qualquer modo, recomendo sempre uma camada final de top coat para um look final mais homogéneo e profissional. Recomendo que usem o top coat Kinetics SolarGel ou o Kinetics Kwik Kote (o meu favorito).

Let's start with Kinetics Escape, vibrant orange that really shouts out for vacations all right

Vamos começar com o verniz Kinetics Escape, um laranja alegre que nos remete logo para modo férias

Now we have Kinetics Marry Me Lemon, such a gorgeous, vibrant yellow! 

Depois temos o verniz Kinetics Marry Me Lemon, um tom amarelo lindo e vibrante! Parece que grita pelo Sol e praia não é?

With the above colors, I took the opportunity to Escape to a tropial island haha. I did a nail art ft those shades and tropial flowers. The flowers come from Creative Shop 41 stamping plate and were stamped with MoYou Black Night stamping polish.

Com os tons acima, inspirei-me para fazer uma nail art para onde gostava de Escapar: uma ilha tropical! hehe. Carimbei as flores da placa Creative Shop 41 com o verniz de carimbo MoYou Black Knight.

Another lovely bright color is Kinetics Pink Drink. It really reminds of the Summer cocktails straws haha. I also took the chance to do a Summer nail art, but this time featuring Origamis from the MoYou Origami 02 stamping plate.

Outra cor bem bonita que me lembra palhinhas nos cocktails de Verão é o Kinetics Pink Drink. Aproveitei e fiz uma nail art com sabor a Verão com este verniz, mas com Origamis da placa de carimbo MoYou Origami 02.

Next we have MoYou Kiss Me Not. This is a fiery red shade that I truly wasn't able to capture in my camera. For the nail art I used Messy Mansion MM 46 stamping plate.

De seguida temos o verniz Kinetics Kiss Me Not. É um tom vermelho muito vibrante que não consegui de maneira nenhuma captar com a câmara... Na nail art usei o desenho da placa e carimbo Messy Mansion MM 46.

The lavender shade of the collection is Kinetics 5 AM. A lovely shade as well :) I noticed that this shade can be used as a stamping polish, but only over clear bases. So, I applied Kinetics Why Not My Friend as my base polish and stamped the design from Creative Shop 41 plate with 5Am as well as Shark in the Pool polishes.

O tom lavanda desta colecção é o verniz Kinetics 5AM. Apercei-me que este tom pode ser usado como verniz de carimbo, mas somente sobre tons claros. Vai daí que apliquei como base o verniz Kinetics Why Not My Friend e carimbei o desenho da placa Creative Shop 41 com os vernizes 5AM e Shark in the Pool. 

Speaking of Kinetics Why not my Friend, this is I believe my favorite shade of the collection! That's because it's a very soft pink nude that simply matches every single other polish of the collection - the perfect complement :) I did a rose nail art with it. My base was Kinetics Why not my Friend and Kinetics Spotlight Fail. I stamped the roses from Uber Chic UC 4-01 stamping plate with MoYou Rock Night stamping polish.

Por falar no verniz Kinetics Why not my Friend, é o meu verniz preferido desta colecção! Não é o tom mais vibrante que grita Verão, mas é uma cor suave absolutamente linda! Tem um toque de rosa e nude que complementa todas as cores da colecção. Fiz uma nail art com rosas, sendo que na base optei por um gradiente rosa onde usei os vernizes Kinetics Why Not My Friend e Spotlight Fail. Carimbei com o verniz MoYou Rock Night e as rosas são da placa Uber Chic UC 4-01. Não sei se viram, mas o meu 1º video em directo no Instagram foi a fazer esta manicure :p

Next, let me show you Kinetics Shark in the Pool. Such a funny name! :D And yes, one cannot help nut to think of pools and beaches in Summer.... countdown to my vacation in 2 weeks is ON! It comes as no surprise that I did a beach-y themed nail art. For the base I did a quick gradient with Shark in the Pool as well as Kinetics Why Not My Friend and then stamped in black with DRK Seasons stamping plate. I finished with a coat of Mollon Pro Top Coat Matt.

De seguida temos o verniz Kinetics Shark in the Pool. O nome é deveras engraçado, mas dispenso encontrar um tubarão numa piscina... ou não? ;) O tom azul remete-me imediatamente para uma piscina ou praia...  e vou estar de férias daqui a duas semanas :D. Com es tom não podia deixar de fazer uma nail art inspirada na praia: comecei com um gradiente com os vernizes Shark in the Pool e Why Not my Friend. Carimbei o desenho da placa DRK Seasons e finalizei com uma camada do top coat matte da Mollon.

I left Kinetics It's Not My Passport for last. It's a burgundy color that I don't really think is suitable form a Summer collection. But I can see myself wearing it in Autumn. That's why this is my leat favorite color of the collection. I used it as my base to practice and do some flowers ft. Kinetics Why not my Friend and Marry Me Lemon.

Por fim temos o verniz Kinetics It's Not My Passport. É um tom vinho que na minha opinião, não pertence a uma coleção de Verão mas sim de Outono. É por isso que é o tom que menos gosto nesta colecção alegre e vibrante. Contudo, tentei trazer-lhe alguma alegria com uma nail art florida. Usei os vernizes Marry Me Lemon e Why Not My Friend.
