Endless Summer Challenge: Nautical

Hello boys & girls! :)

Today we have take two on the Endless Summer Challenge. The theme is Nautical. This is a very nice theme... one can be so creative! I did a mix n' match nail art with some freehand and stamping techniques thrown in for good measure :p

Hoje dedico o dia ao desafio Endless Summer Challenge. Estamos no segundo dia e o tema é náutico. Gostei... dá para ser versátil e criativa :p De modo que fiz uma nail art mix n' match com várias técnicas porque enfim, estava com ideias (para variar lol).

I quite like it! :D Maybe the blue background wasn't the best choice, but I like the greyness of a stormy sea in a paint :) The background is three coats of Impala Doce Oceano with very light brushes of white. Impala Doce Oceano has a soft silver pearly finish, but due to being mattified you can't see it. In my ring finger I draw red (Kiko 239) and blue (Barry M Blackberry) stripes over a regular white polish; then I placed round gold studs. In my middle finger is a stamping decal with cute boats made out of Cheeky Tropical Holiday plate, using the same colors. Finally, I freehanded the anchor and chain in my other two fingers.

Gosto bastante! :D Talvez a escolha do azul de fundo não tenha sido a melhor, mas gosto do ar cinza e algo envelhecido :) Para o fundo azul pintei três camadas do verniz Impala Doce Oceano. Este tem um acabamento prata perolado que pouco ou nada se nota por estar matificado. No dedo indicador desenhei linhas vermelhas e azuis com os vernizes Kiko 239 e Barry M Blackberry, respectivamente. Adicionei também studs dourados. No dedo do meio coloquei um adesivo de carimbo com barcos (fofos!) que fiz a partir da placa Cheeky Tropical Holiday, usando as mesmas cores. Por último, desenhei uma âncora e respectiva corrente nos outros dedos.

What do you think? Perhaps you'd like the shine version better? Honestly, I prefer the matte one because it sort of resembles a painting heheh. Can't wait to see what the other girls created :) Kisses,

Ki Cor Anis & Mini Chevrons Nail Art

Hello guapas! :)

Although I do own several chevron stamping patterns and keep wanting more, I was dying to get my nails in the mini chevron nail vinyls :) They offer more design and color combination possibilites. I purchased mine at the Nail Vinyls website and this is my first and simple nail art with them :p

Tenho vários padrões chevron dispostos pela minha colecção de carimbos, mas há muito que queria experimentar os mini chevron nail vinyls que praticamente toda a blogosfera usa :p Comprei-os no website Nail Vinyls e esta foi a primeira (e simples) nail art que fiz 

My base is the bright water green/blue Ki Cor Anis, sweetly gifted to me by Adri ^^. Ki Cor is a Brazilian brand that I never tried before. Anis is quite pigmented and almost a one coater with great shine. My only dislike is that it stained m ring finger (how come one finger in ten nails? O.o). After it was dry, I applied the mini chevron nail vinyls individually using tweezers and removed them as soon as I applied the top colors. The top colors are OPI Love Angel Music Baby and a regular black.

O verniz base é o vibrante verde/azul mar Ki Cor Anis, que me foi oferecido pela querida Adri ^^. A Ki Cor é uma marca Brasileira que nunca tinha usado antes. Este Ki Cor Anis é realmente bastante pigmentado e tem um belo brilho, mas o ponto negativo é que mancha as unhas. Aliás, só manchou uma em dez unhas O.o Depois de seco, apliquei individualmente cada um dos chevrons (como se aplica adesivos) com uma pinça e removi-os imediatamente após colocar a cor por cima. As duas cores que usei foram o OPI Love Angel Music Baby e um preto regular.

In my ring nail I applied several studs from BPS Store. I'm not sure I like the french-y black chevron style, but I definitely do love the gold and blue combo :) Have you tried these nail vinyls before? Kisses,

No anelar coloquei vários studs da loja Born Pretty. Não fiquei muito satisfeita com a espécie de francesinha preta em chevrons, mas definitivamente adorei a combinação de dourado sobre azul :p. Já usaram nail vinyls anteriormente? Beijinhos,

Jade Falling Star & Ellen Gold Holo Azul

Hola chicas! :)

I promise this is the last manicure you see with this particular glitter placement nail art... I simply didn't want to remove it heheh. This nail art has a somewhat nautical feeling to it and because it looks different under natural and artificial light, you get to see both :p

Prometo que esta é a última nail art que vêm com este posicionamento de glitter solto! :p Não consegui tirar logo... de modo que mantive no anelar e mudei todas as outras unhas hehehe. A manicure e hoje é náutica e como fica diferente ao sol, mostro-vos fotos nesse ambiente bem como sob luz artificial (não quero que vos falta nada hahaha!)

I painted the ombre gradient with Ellen Gold Holo Azul and Jade Falling Star near the tips using a make-up sponge. Each polish is spectacular! Jade Falling Star has a more linear holography and is less pigmented than the Ellen Gold but I honestly cannot pick a favorite :p Can you? As for the designs, they were stamped and the mermaid belongs to CZ08 plate while the round circles belong to Cheeky XL Tropical Holiday.

Pintei o gradiente com uma esponja de make, utilizando os vernizes Jade Falling Star e Ellen Gold Holo Azul. O Jade Falling Star tem uma holografia mais linear e é menos pigmentado que o verniz da Ellen Gold; mas não consigo escolher o meu preferido entre ambos :p Vocês conseguem? Relativamente à nail art, os desenhos vêm de placas de carimbo: a sereia da placa CZ08 e as bolhas da placa Cheeky XL Tropical Holiday.

Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate Holder Organizer Review

Hola guapas :)

Either if you have few stamping plates or lots (like me hehe), a stamping plate organizer is always a must! Yes, there are plenty DYI options out there... but if you're lazy (again, like me) you want the finished product and want it good to go lol. I'm being straight because I rather just order online what I want instead of looking out for the perfect sized sleeves for my plates. Anyway, the Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate Holder Organizer is a nice option. Shall we see it?

Quer tenham poucas ou muitas placas (como eu hehe), um organizador e protector de placas é um must have! É verdade que existem imensas opções DYI por aí... mas eu sou preguiçosa e prefiro de longe comprar o produto acabado do que procurar por capas de plástico ou organizadores de cartões de tamanho adequado. Há vantagens e desvantagens em ambos... Mas de qualquer forma, o organizador de placas da Born Pretty Store é uma opção a considerar. Vamos vê-lo?

This is a small organizer sold by Born Pretty Store with a pink leather outside which contains 12 double sided plastic sleeves. It can fit 24 plates and to me one of the best benefits is that it fits the QA series and octoganal plates which my bigger organizer can't. Some plates are tight though.  The double-sided plastic sleeves look resistant and so far I haven't had any problems but they aren't the most resistant available in the maket (I'm comparing to the BM black organizer) :) I don't like the sideways opening as I prefer to look through my plates in a book fashion, but I can deal with it for the affordable price.

Este é um pequeno organizador de placas de carimbo vendido pela loja Born Pretty Store. Tem uma capa rosa a imitar couro e contém 12 capas de plástico no interior. Estas capas têm aberturas dos dois lados, de modo que no organizador cabem 24 placas. Para mim, o maravilhoso do organizador é que cabem as placas QA e octagonais que não cabem no meu organizador XL (e andavam desprezadas na gaveta...). As folhas de plástico são medianamente resistentes (isto porque para mim as mais resistentes do mercado são as do organizador preto da BM). Algumas placas ficam apertadas nas capas de plástico, mas até agora não tive nenhum problema. Não gosto muito da abertura lateral do organizador BPS... prefiro ver as minhas placas como se estivesse a ler um livro, mas claro que isto é ultrapasso pelo preço bastante acessível :p

I couple weeks later after receiving this product to review, I noticed the pink leather stained my white Pueen organizer as well as its first interior plastic sleeve. This is something I disliked, but aside it I think it is a very nice and affordable option to organize and protect your plates :) I really need to stop purchasing more plates... or I will need more organizers heheh! Endless Summer Challenge: Summer

Hello gorgeous! :)

Today and during September I will be participating in the Endless Summer Challenge. This is a challenge created by Pedrinails and Fuxia 91. It has been a while since I participated in a challenge (too long) and this one has very nice themes and is time manageable. Further more, I don't mind prolonging Summer... even if it's only on my nails! :p

Durante o mês de Setembro vou participar no desafio Endless Summer. Há muito que não participo num desafio e tenho saudades, de modo que como este tem temas atraentes e é espaçado, fui facilmente convencia :p Além disso, não me importo nada de prolongar o Verão, nem que seja nas minhas unhas. O desafio foi criado pela Pedrinails e Fuxia 91.

So, the first theme is "Summer". I think I mentioned before, but Summer means (among other things) beach to me. So, of course that is what I created :p May I say I think this is my best beach manicure so far?? Yep *-* I started with a background gradient with Dote Braços Torneados (blue), Kinetics KP112 Top of The Wave (water green) and Essie Cocktails & Coconuts (nude). Then, I lightly sponged white in my sea and a glitter in the sand. To finish, I painted the palm tree, birds and anchor with black acrylic paint; then placed a star stud from BPS store and top coatd it with Seche Vite. My camera didn't capture the green ocean, it's more noticeable in real life.

Então, o primeiro tema é "Verão". Penso que já falei anteriormente, mas para mim Verão é equivalente a praia (entre outras coisas claro); de modo que foi o que fiz. Permitam-me dizer que esta é sem dúvida a melhor manicure de praia que alguma vez fiz *-* Adoro! Comecei por criar o gradiente de fundo com os vernizes Dote Braços Torneados (que nome, hein?), Kinetics Top of The Wave e Essie Cocktails & Coconuts. Depois, esponjei ao de leve branco no mar e glitter na praia. Terminei pintando a âncora, palmeira e pássaros com tinta acrílica preta, posicionando um stud em forma de estrela da loja BPS e selei tudo com Seche Vite. A minha câmera não capturou o verde do mar, é mais visível em pessoa.
