Essence Twins Reloaded Edward & Bella: Love is in the air

Hello there! :)

How are you? :) I think I never mentioned before, but almost all my manicure are done and enjoyed a week before being published here. This means that last week I broke a nail, buah! It wasn't too bad, but I was in the middle of a review -.-' and it was in a door! I broke the diagonal of the point finger. Anyway, the best thing to do is file the nails and use darker polishes... I did file them, a bit, but did not use a dark color because I was dying to use these two love birds: Edward & Bella *.*

Como estão? :) Penso que nunca mencionei antes, mas quase todas as minhas manicures são feitas e desfrutadas uma semana antes de serem aqui publicadas. Isto quer dizer que na semana passada parti uma unha, buah! Não foi muito mau, mas foi no meio dã revisão de um verniz -.-' e com uma porta! Parti na diagonal a unha do dedo indicador. Seja como for, o  melhor a fazer nesta situação é pintar com cores escuras e limar as unhas. Ora... eu até limei, mas estava doida para usar estes dois pombinhos: Edward & Bella *.*

This couple won my heart, I might as well say it now lol. Edward has this cuuute soft blue color with lavender undertones. Beautiful shade! The polish was kind of easy to apply but if is pastel finish, so I advise a bit of careful and attention during application. It dried fast which is good but there were bubbles and you can see them in pics :| I believe I applied three coats and was surprised to see it level out :) 

Vou já dizer que este casal conquistou-me o coração eheh. O Edward tem um cor fofíssima! Um tom azul lindo com um toque de lavanda. O verniz foi até fácil de aplicar, mas considerando que é um tom pastel, recomendo alguma atenção na aplicação. Secou rápido, o que é bom, mas fez bolhas que são visiveis nas fotos :| Apliqui três camadas e recordo-me de ficar surpreendida com o facto do verniz nivelar-se sozinho :)

Essence Bella... ohh Bella... pretty!! Bella has black hexs and squares as well as lots of holographic microglitter. It's simple and gorgeous in its simplicity. I really love it! :)  It was also easy to apply and to spread (one coat was enough) :) I'm not really liking this new Essence idea of having LE collections in tiny bottles of 5mL for the same price as the regulars and compared to previous year (and before) 8mL collections...But I do admit they're kind of cute.

Essence Bella... ohh a Bella... linda!! O verniz Bella contém quadrados e hexágonos pretos além de bastante microglitter holográfico. É um glitter simples e super bonito na sua simplicidade. Adorei! :) Foi também fácil de aplicar e espalhar (uma camada). Não estou a gostar desta nova ideia da Essence de lançar colecções limitadas em pequenos frascos de 5ml... especialmente comparando com a linha regular de 8ml e com as coleções do ano passado (e anteriores), também com 8ml... Contudo, admito que os frasquinhos são fofinhos.

This is the only romantic pair (hence the heart in the ring finger) from Essence Twins Reloaded that I truly loved :) The collection is somewaht available in some Portuguese stores and online in many websites :) Have you bought any? Hope you liked them, kisses :)

Este é o único par romântico (daí o coração no dedo anelar) desta nova colecção Essence Twins Reloaded que eu verdadeiramente gostei :) Não sei se estes meninos chegarão às Wells, mas existem nas lojas Funfashion em Lisboa e online claro :) Já compraram algum? Beijinhos :)

Sunday Stamping Challenge: Over a Lilac Base

Good Morning :)

This week stamping theme is to stamp over a lilac base. I wasn't sure if I had the time to participate but I managed and here I am :p This was the perfect excuse to grab my newest bottle of Catrice I Scream: Ice Cream! from the Candy Shock collection. I grabbed this bottle plus the others (except the orange one) at the store because I couldn't resist such lovely shades :) It has a light lilac color (or is it more lavender?) so it qualifies perfectly (or so I hope lol).

O tema do desafio esta semana do grupo AIS é carimbar sobre uma base lilás. Não tinha a certeza de conseguir participar, mas orientei-me e aqui estou :p Esta foi a desculpa perfeita para agarrar o meu mais recente Catrice, o I Scream: Ice Cream da colecção Candy Shock da Catrice. Comprei este e mais dois vernizes dos quatro que compõem a colecção (excepto o laranja) porque têm cores mega fofinhas e não consegui resistir :) O Catrice de hoje tem um tom lilás claro (ou será lavanda?) e por isso adequa-se ao desafio (ou assim espero lol).

Catrice I Scream: Ice Cream! (funny name huh?) is a pastel polish and hence I was worried with application. But fear not, full nail coverage in two coats and self leveling formula... great! First coat is a bit streaky but nothing to worry about. I'm also pleased with drying time :p I used Super Perola Saint German to stamp over the sweet Catrice using the flower design from winstonia W110 plate. There is a reason why I never stamped with this metallic purple before... it deeply stains the stamper... my white rubber stamper is now with an interesting (not!) shade. I already had Finaflor Lua in my ring nail from a previous manicure (not posted yet) and I thought it would look nice with the flowers. I used a small dotting tool do add glitter dots in flowers and finished with a coat of Seche Vite.

O Catrice I Scream: Ice Cream (que nome engraçado hein?) é um verniz pastel e por isso esperava uma aplicação complicada. Mas tal não sucedeu! Foram necessárias só duas camadas para cobrir as unhas e a formula auto nivela-se na unha, perfeito! A primeira camada foi um tanto difícil por deixar o verniz com "estradas" na unha, mas nada de assustador. Também fiquei satisfeita com o tempo de secagem :p Usei o verniz roxo metálico Super Perola Saint German para carimbar as flores da plaquinha winstonia W110. Eu sabia que este verniz carimbava, mas havia um belo motivo para nunca o ter usado com este intuito... o meu carimbo agora tem a borracha branca com uma nova tonalidade... roxa. É chato ter manchado, mas espero que a constante utilização do carimbo elimine a mancha. Quanto ao dedo anelar, já estava a usar o verniz Finaflor Lua da manicure anterior (ainda não publicada) e com um pequeno boleador adicionei bolinhas deste verniz na flores. Terminei com uma camada de Seche Vite.

Shine / Brilho *.*

I find this look very lovely and cute! Its very feminine and I can't resist such a sweet look :) Catrice I Scream: Ice Cream! has a pink/purple hidden shimmer most noticeable in the bottle than nails. But besides this, I'm happy I got this baby :) Overall i loved my nails and just hope you did too :) Kisses and Happy Mothers Day :)

Acho este look super fofinho e mimoso! É claramente feminino e eu não resisto a estes looks :) O ponto negativo no Catrice I Scream: Ice Cream! é o pormenor de possuir shimmer rosa/roxo escondido mais perceptícel no frasco do que nas unhas. Mas tirando isto, estou muito satisfeita com a minha compra na loja Funfashion do Campo de Ourique. O verniz custou-me 2,90€ e infelizmente não sei se a colecção Candy Shock chegará às lojas Wells ou não. Adorei esta manicure e espero que vocês também :) Beijinhos e Feliz Dia da Mãe! :)

Review: Dare To Wear Strobe Light

Hello ladies :)

If you read my post about the last Exposcosmetics 2013 you know I came home with a Dare To Wear polish to review. I went to the expo with a list featuring all the Dare To Wear colors I had to personally see and most likely get lol. Lechat Dare To Wear is an American Brand and it's not every day that I have the chance to see such glitter pretties personally in Portugal right?? :p Buuut the brand was being presented and not selling their polishes (I believe they were expecting more polishes to arrive soon). Anyway, I got home with my most wanted Lechat polish: Dare To Wear Strobe Light! :D

Se leram o meu post sobre a Expocosmética 2013, sabem que vim para casa com um verniz Dare To Wear para rever. Quando percebi que a marca ia estar presente na expo, elaborei uma lista com todos os vernizes que tinha mesmo de ver pessoalmente e (muito) possivelmente comprar lol. A Lechat Dare To Wear  é uma marca americana e sinceramente, não é todos os dias que eu vejo tamanhas belezas e glitters pessoalmente em Portugal, certo?? :p Mas a marca estava a ser apresentada e não a vender os seus vernizes na hora (penso que estavam à espera de reposição). Mas eu vim para casa com um verniz, nada mais nada menos do que o que estava no topo da minha lista, Dare To Wear Strobe Light! :D

I'm not really a big fan of bar glitter, but amongst such golden complexity I find it gorgeous! Strobe Light belongs to the Disco Tech collection and its what we call a glitter bomb! Overall, the dominant shade is that kind of gold that I find very wearable and elegant, a cooler gold shade. It has a gold jelly base filled with large gold hex, bars and holographic microglitter. I layered one coat of Dare to Wear Stobe Light over two coats of Big Universo Aurum. I find the color very elegant and suitable to a gorgeous black dress and with this idea I added a coat of Marylins Nº121 polish in the ring finger. This polish was a birthday gift from Raquel and consists in large black glitters in a transparent base :)

Não sou grande fã de glitter em barra, mas no meio de tanta complexidade dourada acho-o muito bonito! O verniz Strobe Light pertence à colecção Disco Tech e é sem dúvida um bomba de glitter! No geral, a cor dominante é um tom frio de dourado que não só considero muito fácil de usar (para diversos tons de pele), como também super elegante :) Tem uma base dourada preenchida com glitter hexagonal e barras douradas, além de microglitter holográfico. Passei uma camada do Strobe Light sobre duas camadas do verniz Big Universo Aurum. Acho a cor tão elegante e adequada a um belo vestido preto que segui esta ideia e apliquei uma camada do verniz Marylins Nº121 no dedo anelar. Este Marylins foi presente de aniversário da Raquel e consiste unicamente em gliters pretos hexagonais numa base transparente :)

Can you see that shine?? Believe me when I tell you my camera didn't capture it truly! All pictures are indoors. When I went into the sun I couldn't stop staring at my nails... I often stopped in the middle of the street to take closer looks to the holographic glitter (yes, people were staring at me too... LOL). That microglitter really brings this polish more to live! Regarding the application, Strobe Light brings the perfect quantity of glitter in the soft brush, allowing even glitter spreading in the nail and an easy application. It dries fast and I applied two coast of Color Club top coat to smooth the nail. In the next two pictures please focus on the bottle to see the gorgeous shine, impossible to capture in nails!

Conseguem ver todo o brilho?? Fui incapaz de o captar na sua totalidade, é muito melhor! Todas as fotos foram tiradas dentro de casa. Quando fui para o sol não consegui parar de contemplar as unhas... parei frequentemente a meio da estrada para olhar de perto para o brilho holográfico (e sim, as pessoas estavam a olhar para mim também... LOL). O microglitter holográfico trás vida a este verniz e é o que o distingue. Quanto à aplicação, esta foi muito fácil e o pincel de cerdas macias permite distribuir de forma equivalente os glitters nas unhas, bem como trás uma quantidade satisfatória de glitters. O verniz secou rápido e passei duas camadas do top coat Color Club para suavizar a textura das unhas. Nas duas fotos seguintes reparem no brilho maluco do frasco, impossível de captar nas unhas!

 

After so many pictures you can see why I love it :) But as Strobe Light has a golden jelly base it isn't as easy to choose a base color as transparent base glitter polishes. My suggestion is to apply it over champagne shades. There is something I don't like but is it bottle related, not polish related. The bottle neck is tall, taller than most of my polishes. Still on the bottle, I love the fact that the lid has a rubber finish, which gives more sense of control when painting nails :) Lechat Portugal has many more collections and glitter bombs (stay tuned on their facebook page) and did you know you get a free normal polish if you buy the correspondent (Perfect Match) gel polish?? (you can send me the normal one!) :p In Portugal, each bottle costs 4,86€. I loved this polish very much and have to advise it to all gold lovers :)

Depois de tantas fotos conseguem perceber porque o adoro :) Mas, como o Strobe Light tem uma base jelly dourada, não é fácil conjugá-lo com um verniz base; por isso sugiro um verniz de tom champanhe para tal. Há uma particularidade que não gosto neste verniz, mas trata-se do frasco e não do verniz em si. O gargalo do frasco é muito alto, mais alto que quase todos os meus vernizes. Ainda relativamente ao frasco, gosto muito do pormenor da tampa ser em borracha porque dá uma maior noção de controlo a pintar as unhas. A Lechat Portugal tem muitas mais colecções com glitters e vernizes fantásticos (sigam a página de Facebook) e sabiam que recebem um verniz normal se comprarem o respectivo verniz (Perfect Mood) gel?? (podem enviar para a minha morada o verniz normal!) :p O preço de revenda em Portugal é 4,86€ com IVA, o que considero óptimo para a qualidade em questão :) Gostei muito deste menino e realmente sugiro-o a todas as amantes de dourados. Lac Attack Beauxbatons Academy

Salut! :)

I'm an Harry Potter lover, I admit it. I grow up reading J. K. Rowling's book, often reading the same book times and times again (I think I read them all except the last one four times...). Sooo, how can I say NO to a nail polish collection inspired in the magical world like Magical Musings released in December 2012?? I can't! But you know I'm an university student, so I only got two polishes (for now) :) I used the first one last week and he is Lac Attack Beauxbatons Academy *-*

Confesso que sou fã do Harry Potter. Cresci a ler os livros da J. K. Rowling, sendo que li várias vezes cada livro (penso que à excepção do último, li quatro vezes cada um...). Portantoooo, como podia RESISTIR a uma colecção de venrizes baseada neste Mundo Mágico designada por Magical Musings, lançada a 12 de Dezembro?? Óbvio que não resisti! Mas ainda sou estudante universitária e por isso só comprei dois (por agora) :) Usei o primeiro na semana passada e é o Lac Attack Beauxbatons Academy *-*

How can I NOT love this gorgeous polish?? Unless you don't like clear colors you shouldn't resist the appeal lol. Lac Attack Beaubatons Academy has a sheer white base filled with blue, white and yellow microglitters in hexs and square shapes. Gorgeous!! *.* As the base is a bit sheer you can apply it over almost any color. I wasn't feeling the mood to use it over white, so I picked a more nude color that was OPI Skull & Glossbones and applied 2 coats over it. Lovely! Beaubattons Academy showed no problem in application, glitter spreading or drying time :)

Como é que se pode NÃO amar este verniz?? A não ser que não gostem de cores claras, não vejo outro motivo lol por isso não resistam! O Lac Attack Beauxbatons Academy tem uma base branca translúcida preenchida com microglitters amarelos, azuis e brancos, no formato hexagonal e quadrado. Lindíssimo!! *-* Como a base é assim translúcida, é possível aplicar o verniz sobre diversas cores. Quando usei não me estava a apetecer usar branco puro, por isso apliquei duas camadas do Lac Attack sobre uma cor mais nude, o OPI Skull & Glossbones. Ficou adorável :) O venriz não mostrou quaisquer problemas de aplicação, dispersão dos glitters ou secagem.

I weared Beauxbatons Academy for 3 days and confess I removed it tired of the nude color, but now a week later I'm feeling the urge to use it again! How is this possible? I don't know :p It took me 4 months to get this baby but I can finally say it is mine! For those of you who don't know, Lac Attack is a USA Indie maker and is available through Etsy and Harlow&Co. Hope you liked it and tell me, are you a fan of HP? Kisses :)

Usei o Beauxbatons Academy por três dias e confesso que quando o removi já estava cansada da cor nude, mas agora uma semana depois estou a sentir uma forte necessidade de o usar! Como é que é possível? Não sei :p Demorei quatro meses a ter este lindão, mas posso finalmente dizer que é meu! Para quem não sabe, a Lac Attack é uma criadora de vernizes Indie e os seus vernizes estão disponíveis na respectiva loja Etsy e na loja online Harlow&Co. Review: Mollon Pro Nº 144 Eleni

At last the new Mollon Pro glitter collection is out! This collection has six glitter shades, all in different colors and glitter types. Today I'm showing you Eleni. She enchanted me on the bottle with all the pink and holographic shine! I used Mollon Pro Eleni in two ways, lets see them :)

Finalmente já está disponível a nova colecção de glitters da Mollon Pro em Portugal! Esta colecção tem seis vernizes, todos com cores e glitters diferentes; e hoje vou-vos mostrar o Mollon Pro Eleni. Ela encantou-me no frasco com todo o brilho rosa e holográfico. Vamos ver as duas formas em que usei :)

I like heavy glitter polishes, with a small glitter particle diameter that cover nails easily :) Eleni seemed to be this type of glitter, so first I layered Mollon Pro Eleni over Mollon Pro Nº 100 because they have very similar pink shades. I needed 4 coats plus 2 coats of Color Club top coat to even out the nail surface. This polish was easy to apply. It has a good formula that allowed even glitter spreading and didn't flood the cuticles, which is very good! Glitters particles have a small medium size and the formula is a bit glitter sheer (4 coats tell that much lol) and so its best used as a topper with one or two coats. But, in real life I didn't notice the empty spaces in the glitter since I was dazzled with the holographic glitter shine *.* Mollon Pro Eleni shines amazingly, it's really gorgeous. Imagine what you see in the bottle in pictures, but times three!

Eu adoro glitter miudinho que cobre inteiramente a unha com poucas camadas e facilmente :) A princípio assumi que o Eleni inseria-se nesta categoria de glitters, portanto passei quatro camadas sobre o Mollon Pro Nº 100 (porque ambos possuem o tom rosa de base similar) e duas camadas de top coat Color Club. O verniz foi fácil de aplicar, com distribuição equivalente de glitters na unha e não inunda as cutículas porque tem uma formula de glitter ideal, i. e., ligeiramente mais espessa do que fluida. Os glitters são médio pequeninos e são melhor aplicados sobre outras cores. Mas, na vida real eu não notei o que vejo nas fotos, e estou a referir-me ao espaço entre os glitters uma vez que estava ofuscada com o brilho *.* O Mollon Pro Eleni brilha horrores porque contém glitter holográfico. Imaginem o que vêm no frasquinho nas fotos, mas a triplicar! *.*

Shine / Brilho *.*

Then, I layered one coat of Mollon Pro Eleni over OPI Mod About You. Eleni can be paired with more base shades due to its transparent base. I wasn't thinking of flowers when I paired these two polishes, but I ended up choosing the flower pattern frim PUEEN 12 plate and stamped using MASH Black Polish.

Depois, passei uma camada do Mollon Pro Eleni sobre o OPI Mod About You. É possível obter diversas combinações porque o Eleni tem base transparente. Por acaso não estava a pensar em flores quando juntei estes dois vernizes, mas o padrão florido pareceu-me bem e assim ficou nos restantes dois dias. Carimbei a imagem da plaquinha PUEEN 12 com o verniz MASH Black.

I honestly don't know what I liked best. Eleni by herself is powerful and gorgeous, almost an outrageous manicure. Eleni over a sweet pink looks very sweet, girly and peaceful  I like Both ways, I can't honestly pick. I love glitter, no matter what lol. Can you pick?? Sinceramente, não sei o que gosto mais. A Eleni sozinha é poderosa e lindíssima, quase uma manicure escandalosa (quase, porque para mim já não há manicures escandalosas). Mas sobre um rosa fofinho, o Mollon Pro Eleni fica fofíssimo, com um ar romântico e feminino. Gosto de ambas as formas, não consigo evitar... gosto de glitter seja de que forma for lol. Conseguem escolher?? Toda a colecção Mollon Pro Glitter encontra-se disponível no site Espace Beauté (link abaixo) e cada verniz custa 6,40€. Espero que tenham gostado tanto quanto eu, beijinhos :)
