Hi everyone!

My name is Simona and I am super happy to be featured on Cristina's blog (thanks honey!) because she's one of my favourite bloggers! Her manis are always so perfect. What I love most and I try to recreate myself each and every time are her gorgeous skittlettes. Isn't she the best matching different styles in a single mani?

Well today I wanted to show you something worth her blog, know what I mean? But I am not that creative or talented so be nice to me!

I started out with a coat of Royal Beauty Blu Lacca, which is a wonderful blurple by this small Italian brand. Then I added Kleancolor Holo Chrome on top of my central fingers and a small rhinestone at the bottom of the other nails. Too bad sun didn't want to shine and you can't really see the sparkle of the Kleancolor and how well it matches the blue!

Birthday Manicure & Orly Miss Conduct

Hello gorgeous! :)

Earlier today I shared an international giveaway as of means to celebrate my birthday with you :) And now I'm sharing my manicure, which was nothing that huuuuge! When it comes to my day I'm always out of imagination lol and tend to enjoy simple things :p So... I'm 24 now. I'm young to some and old to others. Honestly, this is again an important year in my life and I'm not sure where the last couple of years went hehehe.

Mais cedo hoje (ou ontem?) publiquei o meu sorteio internacional por ocasião do meu aniversário :) Agora vou partilhar a manicure que usei no meu dia, que por sinal nem foi assim nada de muito extravagante! Quando toca a mim (leia-se aniversários) acabo por escolher sempre manicures mais simples :p Bem... fiz 24 aninhos. Sou nova para uns e velha para outros. Sinceramente, este é certamente mais um ano deveras importante na minha vida e não sei para onde foram os dois passados hehehe.

Last week I was browsing around on IG and came across this bow tutorial by Celinedoesnails. Just a simple bow?? Noooo, its beautiful!! lol I decided there that I wanted it in my nails Saturday. The original idea was to actually draw balloons as well but I decided they didn't fit Orly Miss Conduct. This baby was my choice because I love the elegant holographic glitter embedded in this beautiful dark pink shade. I also received it recently so, any excuse is a good excuse lol. Formula is great! It requires two coats and application was easy peasy ;) To draw the bow, I followed the mentioned tutorial using Yes Love 346 (black), Orly Miss Conduct and a detailed brush. It wasn't as easy as expected and actually my non dominant hand looks better hahaha :p

Na semana passada andava a cucar o Instagram e deparei-me com este tutorial de lacinho feito pela Celinedoesnails. Um simples laço?? Nãaaaa, é lindo!! lol Decidi na hora que queria um lacinho destes nas unhas no Sábado. A ideia original até era pintar balões nas unhas mas decidi que não combinava com o Orly Miss Conduct. Falando deste verniz (ainda com o design antigo), escolhi-o porque possui aquele glitter holográfico fininho que parece que dança nas unhas, numa base rosa escura. Adoro! A formula é bastante boa: aplica-se em duas camadas, pigmentada, seca rápido e não escorre :) Para desenhar os laços usei o verniz Yes Love 346 (preto), o verniz Orly Miss Conduct e um pincel fininho. Não foi tão fácil quanto pensei (preciso de um pencl ainda mais fino lol) mas acreditam se vos disser que os laços da mão não dominante ficaram melhores?? Hahaha :p

So... what do you think? I believe I'll be using this design more often (specially in Christmas!). I forgot to take pictures Saturday when the rain stopped and today I waited in vain for the sun; so, sorry I can't show the gorgeousness I see with my eyes. This is a must have ladies! Birthday Giveaway

First, thank you very much to everyone who wished me a happy birthday through social networks yesterday *_*! Now... what better way to celebrate it  with you than with an international giveaway?? Top Beauty Amarula & Fall nail art

Good evening chicas :)

I'm trying to make this a short post tonight because its really late here. Last Sunday I participated in the AIS challenge (after a months with zero time) and the theme was Fall. Its raining here for two days now so its kind of appropriate to post today lol. I went trough my plates and picked the first one that looked interesting: Pueen 33 plate. 

Vou tentar escrever um post rápido esta noite, até porque é tarde... No Domingo passado participei no desafio do grupo AIS e o tema foi Outono. Depois de um mês sem participar soube-me bem regressar :p Ahh e está a chover há dois dias em Lisboa, por isso este post é bem apropriado lol. Pesquisei nas minhas placas e escolhi o primeiro desenho que surgiu e pareceu interessante: o desenho da placa Pueen 33.

I think it looks cute :) I was inspired by the above Fall trees and hence the little flowers are in shades of yellow and orange. I said in Facebook that I'll do a tutorial how to paint the inside of the design with a color and the outside with another. I'll do it soon :) Anyways its quite easy and its just that, you paint inside and then outside with a different color. This was the weekend before delivering my thesis, so lets say I wasn't careful enough when placing the colors lol. I used 4 colors to stamp: Mash Brunswick Green and Pastel Yellow, Brown and Orange stamping colors from Mundo de Uñas.

Mas até ficou engraçado (digo eu!) :) Inspirei-me no cenário Outonal acima e daí escolhi as cores amarelo e laranja para as flores. Há semanas (meses cof cof) escrevi no Facebook que vou publicar um tutorial sobre como pintar as cores no carimbo. Ora bem... vou, mas em breve. É bastante fácil até, basta colorcar um pouco da cor de carimbo em cima da parte desejada do desenho e à volta colocar outra cor; depois raspa-se. Perdoem-me esta manicure não estar perfeita... digamos que foi feita no último fim de semana antes de netregar a tese e portanto não prestei muita atenção na colocação das cores. Os vernizes que usei para carimbar foram 4: Mash Brunswick Green e vernizes Amarelo Pastel, Castanho e Laranja da Mundo de Uñas.

Let me show you a quick swatch of Top Beauty Amarula. Its a beautiful nude polish from Brazil with brown and grey undertones. I think it fits Fall very well :) Formula is sheer (requires 3/4 coats) but levels out and dries fast :) I'm concerned that its the second time I use it and look at the bottle neck... I don't want it to finish! lol 

Deixem-me mostrar-vos umas fotos rápidas do verniz Top Beauty Amarula. É um verniz nude de marca Brasileira, cremoso e com subtons castanho e cinzento. Acho que é bem adequado ao Outono e claro, adoro-o! :) A formula é aguada pois requer 3/4 camadas para opacidade da unhas. Mas como seca rápido e uniformiza-se esse detalhe é esquecido. Estou preocupada com a velocidade de consumo... foi a segunda vez que o usei e reparem no frasco... não quero que acabe! lol

Mollon Pro 153 Anse Lazio & Textured Rose nail art

Good morning beautiful! :)

One of the new shades that I received to review from Mollon Pro Sand collection is Mollon Pro 153 Anse Lazio in the shade of red! I don't own any red sand (yet!) and also the ones I'll receive in a swap are darker reds... soo I was quite (very lol) interested in seeing how I'd feel about it in nails :)

Uma das novas cores que recebi para rever da colecção Mollon Pro Sand é o verniz Mollon Pro 153 que é um vermelho alaranjado! Ora bem, não tinha (ainda) nenhum verniz vermelho com acabamento sand/arenoso e os que vou receber numa troca são vermelhos assim mais escuros... então estava super curiosa de perceber como iria ficar em mim :)

Interesting red with orange undertones! Its not just sand polishes but I also never considered to purchase a red creme in this shade... of course now I regret it because I loved how the bright red stands in my skin! -.-' lol. Moving one, Mollon Pro 153 Anse Lazio (name inspired in the beach Anse Lazio located in Seychelles islands) is a matte sand polish. So far, all other sands from this collection that I've showed you (149 Oludeniz, 150 Playa de Aucanada and 152 Boca Paila) contain shimmer while this one doesn't. Again, another new thing to me lol. Over Summer I bought one sand polish from Perfect completely matte just to see if I could like them (I normally tend to love the glittery sands) but alas! I loved it and I love this matte bright red Mollon! :) Application was very easy but I smudged my cuticles because I was watching TV... so I had to clean up and used a little orange wood embedded in acetone because I didn't trust my brush with gritty textures lol. I'm happy to say clean up was a piece of cake, don't be fooled by the texture! :)

Que tom vermelho com subtons laranja tão interessante! Não só não tinha esta cor em vernizes sand como também nem cremosos... sou uma medricas, confesso! lol Claro que o arrependimento já bateu à porta porque efectivamente gosto de como o vermelho vivo se destaca na minha pessoa :) Continuando, o verniz Mollon Pro 153 anse Lazio (nome inspirado na respectiva praia localizada nas ilhas Seychelles) é um verniz arenoso matte. Até agora todos os que mostrei desta colecção (149 Oludeniz, 150 Playa de Aucanada e 152 Boca Paila) são arenosos com glitter mas este não tem  gli gli. No Verão comprei um verniz assim matte da Perfect para testar se conseguia gostar destes vernizes sem brilho e entendi que sim... que adoro! A aplicação foi super simples e serena. Sujei as cutículas porque estava a ver uma série enquanto pintava as unhas (lol)... então limpei usando um palito enrolado com algodão porque não me aprece que o pincel seja suficiente para delinear a cutícula. Masss com um palitinho limpa-se super rápido, não se deixem enagnar pela textura arenosa! :)

I also took the chance to do a textured rose nail art :) I've seen some in the blogosphere this summer and Lisa also did a gorgeous blue one in her guest blog post! It's not as easy as it looked... lol. I painted my middle nails in China Glaze Snow (white) and then using a small detailed brush free handed the roses with Mollon Pro 153 Anse Lazio. For the leaves I picked Mollon Pro 148 Carmen Beach (to be reviewed soon).

Aproveitei a oportunidade para aventurar-me numa nail art com rosas e textura arenosa. Ao longo do Verão vi diversas manicures deste género pela blogosfera e inclusive, a Lisa mostrou umas lindas rosas azuis no seu post de convidada aqui no blog :) Mas.. não é tão fácil quanto parece lol. Pintei as unhas do meio com o verniz branco China Glaze Snow e depois, usando um pincel fininho pintei as rosas com o vermelho Mollon Pro 153 Anse Lazio e as folhas com o Mollon Pro 148 Carmen Beach (será revisto me breve).

Penélope Luz Sweet Dreams & Mix n' Match nail art

Good evening chicas! :)

I kind of purposely decided to post Penélope Luz Sweet Dreams at this time.. its night here in Portugal lol :p I used Sweet Dreams a couple of weeks ago (alas, delayed posts lol) and I love it so much that I'm not feeling the urge to use it again...:p

Bom, a modos que decidi propositadamente postar o verniz Penélope Luz Sweet Dreams a estas horas... porque é de noite!! loool :p Chamem-me tola, eu não me importo :p Usei o Sweet Dreams há umas duas semanas (pois, faz parte dos posts atrasados) e sinto agora uma vontade enorme de o voltar a usar!

As you can see, I did a mix n' match nail art and used Penélope Luz Sweet Dreams over pink and black. Which combo is your favorite? I think mine is black... the drag queen in me says so! xD Anyway, the creme pink polish in pinky finger is Pastel 95 and the black is Wet N' Wild Black Creme. Sweet Dreams is beautiful! It's constituted by round pink and fuchsia glitters, micro and medium white hex glitters as well as pretty white stars. I adore this combination, so, so sweet! It requires a bit of fishing to take the stars out although the bottle has plenty.

Como podem ver, optei por usar o Penélope Luz Sweet Dreams sobre rosa e preto. Qual a combinação que preferem? A minha Drag Queen interior prefere sobre preto xD Adiante lol, o verniz rosa é o Pastel 95 e o preto o Wet N' Wild Black Creme. O verniz Sweet Dreams é lindo! É composto por glitter redondo rosa e fucsia, glitter hexagonal médio branco, microglitter branco e estrelas (fofas!) brancas. Amei a combinação de glitters, deveras amorosa! As estrelas requerem alguma pesquisa dentro do frasco, apesar deste até conter imensas.

To finish the Mix n' Match nail art, I'm wearing Mollon Pro Sand 152 Boca Paila in ring nail (to be reviewed soon) and stamped the design from Pueen 34 plate in middle finger. Its stamped with La Femme Neon Fest Rosa polish and I think this shade matches the glitter :p As this is the first time I'm posting about the set Pueen Love Elements, I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with it. This is mainly because the larger images don't follow the same size patterns, some are larger and some not... grrrr! This flowery image was supposed to be a french one, but not on me. Also, I never had a problem with the first set but with this design the little flower detail near the cuticle never transferred from the plate to stamper, so I had to paint with a brush. I hope my other images are fine (yep, I'm to lazy to try test them now... lol).

Para terminar a nail art mix n' match, coloquei no anelar o verniz Mollon Pro Sand Nº 152 Boca Paila (que vou rever em breve) e no dedo do meio carimbei o desenho da plaquinha Pueen 34. Usei o verniz La Femme Neon Fest Rosa para carimbar. Como é a primeira vez que estou a postar algo do segundo set da Pueen (Love Elements) tenho de confessar que tou um pouco decepcionada! É que os desenhos de unha inteira não têm todos a mesma proporção e isto irrita-me porque uns ficam-me bem na unha e outros ou são muito grandes, ou pequenos.. grrr. Esta imagem florida era suposto ser desenho de unha francesa mas em mim não é. Ah e nunca tive probelmas com o primeiro set, mas neste desenho florido, a flor mais junto da cutícula não transferiu de modo algum da placa para o carimbo... ora, tive de desenhar com um pincel! Espero que as restantes imagens estejam perfeitas (estou demasiado preguiçosa para ir testar lol).

Guest Post: Irina from Zebra-Nails

A minha convidada de hoje é a querida Irina do blog Zebra-nails. Na verdade, deparei-me no blog da Irina no início deste ano, quanto em busca de fotos de vernizes russos (quem é que ainda não o fez? lol). A verdade é que adorei logo as unhas desta chica, a forma como ela escreve e a nail art... nunca mais saí! My name is Irina, my blog is called zebra-nails. When I received e-mail from Cristina with invitation to be a guest blogger I couldn't believe my eyes :). Cristina's manicures are always perfect and it's an honor for me to show my manicure here!

For my first guest post ever (yes, I've never been a guest blogger before :) ) I decided to show you a lovely blue nail polish from Ukrainian brand Nogotok. This polish comes from their Neon collection and is "called" #06.

I didn't have problems with application and drying time. Here I used 2 coats, without top coat.

I'm always trying to show how nail polish looks both in the sunlight and in the shade, so here is the photo made in the shade.

My nail art skills needs improvement (honestly saying, a lot of improvement! :) ), but I didn't want to show a plain swatch so I upgraded my manicure with reverse glitter gradient. Glitter gradients are easy to make and they always look eye-catching.

The glitter nail polish that I used is Golden Rose Jolly Jewels #119. I hope you like my manicure :).

I found a few similar shades in my stash and in case you like this shade of blue and have access to Kiko or Poland brand Ados you can get Ados #549 or Kiko #336, or both of them :).

Hello chicass! :)

I'm back!! :D Well, sorta lol. Yes, I finished my thesis and yes... it took a lot of effort to do so, but I know its the last effort :) Diana, I didn't die lool xD My master degree isn't finished yet, but now there's bureaucracy between me and thesis discussion. Soooo... I have loads of manicures sitting in my computer and even more comments to answer here. Sim, terminei a tese e sim... foi um esforço brutal, mas também sei que foi o último :) Ainda não terminei o mestrado, sendo que agora só a burocracia da faculdade me separa da discussão final ;) Portanto.... tenho imensas manicures aqui no computador e ainda mais comentários para responder... prometo que vou-me actualizar em tudo brevemente! lol. Para hoje quero mostrar-vos um verniz lindíssimo da Dany Vianna chamado Ariel!! *_* Demorei... mas finalmente consegui comprar os vernizes desta criadora de vernizes artesanais brasileira! :)

Too much love here! Look at this cuuute box! It was conceived by dear talented Giu :) Ariel is part of the Pequena Sereia collection (Little Mermaid for you hehe) and I bought more two polishes form this collection. Ariel is composed by a multitude of small hex glitters in teal, magenta, lilac and green shades. Its such a sweet combination! Actually, what made me purchase Dany Vianna polishes in the first place is her sweet and delicate combinations :) Dany, I'm in loveee!

Ohh é muito amor aqui! Reparem no detalhe da caixinha fofa!! Foi criada pela querida e talentosa Giu :) O verniz Dany Vianna Ariel faz parte da colecção Pequena Sereia (comprei mais 2 vernizes desta colecção hihi). O Ariel é composto por pequenos glitters hexagonais nos tons teal, magenta, verde e lilás. Ficou uma combinação deveras delicada. Aliás, o que me fez comprar os vernizes da Dany é toda a delicadesa e fofura envolvente... muito amor! Dany, tou apaixonada!

I decided to combine Ariel with the teal/blue Essie In the Cab-Ana (who stained my nails bad this time!) and with Illamasqua Obsess because this shade matches the magenta glitters :p I loved this combination so much!! However, I felt like I should stamp something related to the sea due to Ariel... but I only had the heart to stamp this  simple sear plant from Mash-50. I used the green Aqua polish from Mundo de Uñas and then mattified it with OPI Matt top coat. 

Optei por combinar o Ariel com o Essie In the Cab-Ana (que manchou vergonhasamente as minhas unhas desta vez! fica o aviso...) e com o Illamasqua Obsess, simplesmente porque combina com o glitter magenta :p Gostei horrores desta combinação *_*! Horas depois estava a matutar que sendo a princesa Ariel quem é, devia ter algo que lembrasse o mar... mas no fim só tive coragem de carimbar esta planta marinha da placa Mash-50. Usei o verniz Mundo de Uñas Aqua para carimbar e depois matifiquei com o verniz OPI Matt top coat.

I couldn't stop looking at my nails... Ariel is so delicate and also vibrant! I feel like using this combination again now lol. Não consegui parar de olhar para as unhas... o Ariel é tão delicado e vibrante ao mesmo tempo! Apetece-me usar outra vez esta combinação agora lol.
