Crazy Polish Lady Sand In My Flip Flops & Capricho Red Carpet

So, I kinda of went into some sort of mini vacations and been absent of the nail world for 5 days. Have you noticed how many things change in the nail world in such period of time? This world moves soo fast and I haven't even checked all blogs I follow lol. The main polish I'm showing today is one of the most beautiful of my collection and I used for 4 days (and never got tired!). I'm referring to Crazy Polish Lady Sand In My Flip Flops :)

Bom, a modos que tirei umas mini férias e tenho estado ausente nos últimos 5 dias. Já repararam como o Mundo das unhas/vernizes muda em  tão curto espaço de tempo?? Tantas novidades e eu ainda nem li todos os blogs que sigo lol :p O principal verniz que dita o post de hoje é sem dúvida um dos mais bonitos da minha colecção e foi usado durante 4 dias (sem ficar aborrecida da cor). Refiro-me ao Crazy Polish Lady Sand In My Flip Flops :)

If you don't know Crazy Polish Lady brand, this is a Portuguese Indie polish owned by Sofia :) I found some time ago  that I'm crazy over white polishes with something, normally glitter. I think I never used pure white polish alone ever... Anyway, Sand In My Flip Flops is so gorgeous!! It has the same glitter composition as Crazy Polish Lady Reflection in teal, yellow, orange/red, white, purple in hex and micro glitters. All these glitters are suspended in a off white jelly base. I choose to wear two coats of the white China Glaze Snow as base and then two coats of Sand In My Flip Flops. This way the yellow off white base (that really makes me think of sand) shows better. About applications, the brush gets a nice amount of glitters and the polish spreads very well. I advise the use of two coats of top coat to even out the glitter texture.

Para quem não sabe, a marca  de vernizes indie/artesanais Crazy Polish Lady é Portuguesa e pertence à Sofia :) Há algum tempo descobri que tenho uma panca por vernizes brancos com algo, normalmente glitter. Se bem que não me lembro de alguma vez na história usar verniz branco puro lol... Continuando, o verniz Sand In My Flip Flops é espectacular!! Este possui a mesma composição de glitters que o Crazy Polish Lady Reflection (micro glitters e hexágonos teal, vermelho alaranjado, branco, amarelo e roxo) numa base branca jelly com um toque de amarelo. Optei por usar duas camadas do Sand In My Flip Flops sobre também duas camadas do verniz branco China Glaze Snow, exactamente para destacar a cor base que adoro e recorda-me areia. Quanto à aplicação, o pincel tem uma quantidade boa e proporcional de glitter e o verniz espalha-se bem nas unhas. Sugiro a utilização de top coat para suavizar a textura dos glitters :)

Its such a happy polish, I love it! I used it in its true glory and simply did a single accent nail nail with Capricho Red Carpet polish. This is a neon red jelly polish, very bright in reality (color is more accurate in the last picture). It was a gift by m friend Lari :) Capricho Red Carpet is so jelly it was applied over white.

E um verniz com vibrações bem alegres, adoro! Achei que o Sand in My Flip Flops mereceu ser usado em toda a sua glória e por isso só fiz um fila única com o verniz Capricho Red Carpet. Este foi-me oferecido pela minha querida Lari :) e é um tom vermelho alaranjado neon jelly. Escolhi-o para combinar com uma das cores dos glitters :p Como o dito é bastante jelly, foi aplicado em duas camadas sobre verniz branco. A cor real é a da última foto porque foi difícil captar.

I received a lot of unexpected compliments over this manicure and people asking me if my nails were real. They are and Sand In My Flip Flops is gorgeous! :) Its complicated to choose over this polish and Reflection, I like both and I'm happy to own them hahah. Pois são, o mérito é do verniz :) Uma vez que a base de glitter é idêntica entre o Sand In my Flip Flops e o Reflection, coloca-se a questão de preferência. Today's theme in AIS group is to do a manicure inspired by the book I'm currently reading or just finished so. I'm reading the second book of the 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy. Ah Mr. Grey, Mr. Grey... What wouldn't I do to meet you personally! :) I admire very much E. L. James because she had the guts to write about something though it's not a tabu, it's a very unspoken and private theme: shadomasochism. These are erotic books that will get you hooked up from the first until the last world and eager for more. I really advise you to read and loose yourself ;).

O tema de hoje no grupo AIS é fazer uma manicure inspirada no livro que estou a ler de momento ou no que acabei de ler. Eu estou a ler o 2º livro da trilogia "As cinquenta sombras de Grey" em Inglês e por isso não traduzi a 2º frase deste post. Ahh Mr. Grey, Mr. Grey... o que eu não dava para o conhecer pessoalmente! :) Admiro imenso a autora E. L. James pois ela teve a coragem de escrever sobre um tema, que apesar de não ser tabu, é um assunto pouco falado e reservado: sadomasoquismo. Estes são livros eróticos que vão-nos agarrar desde a primeira à última palavra, deixando-nos ansiosíssimas por mais. Aconselho-vos vivamente a perderem-se nestes livros ;)

The Red Room of Pleasure... is a misterious and exciting room (I don't want to be a spoiler!) and the source of my manicure ideas. First we have the thumb with chains, chains that match the ones in the ceiling of Red Room of Pleasure. Then we have the red leather in my pointy finger that matches the red leather matress over the bed in the same room; I achieved this look with two coats of Capricho Red Carpet polish and stamped with the design from MASH 43 (the most leather look-alike design I own) with La Femme Red.

O "Red Room of Pleasure" (que eu presumo traduzir-se para O Quarto Vermelho do Prazer)... é um quarto misterioso e excitante (não vou revelar mais!) que é também a fonte das ideias da minha mani. Em primeiro lugar temos o polegar com correntes, correntes estas que correspondem àquelas penduradas no tecto do quarto. Depois temos o couro vermelho do meu dedo anelar que corresponde à manta envolta em couro vermelho disposta sobre a cama do Red Room of Pleasure; para este look pintei duas camadas do verniz Capricho Red Carpet e carimbei a imagem da plaquinha MASH 43 (a mais similar a couro que tenho) com o verniz La Femme Vermelho.

The middle and ring finger were inspired by the books covers, but Mr. Grey's grey tie was also used in the Red Room of Pleasure (how I love to pronounce these words lol) to give pleasure... of course ha ha. I used Born Pretty nail art brushes (from the 15pc nail art set) to design the tie and handcuffs (check my 10% discount in the right side bar). As I mentioned, I'm in the middle of book 2 and therefore I don't know what the handcuffs mean just yet (humm thought there's an interesting scene going on with them and a bed in book 1...). The pinky finger has some grey shoes from an Essence plate stamped with Barry M Silver Instant Nail Effects and filled with Capricho Red Carpet. These are meant to represent the grey Louboutins that Miss Steele used for the charity party (standing in them while Mr. Grey introduced some naughty silver balls) :p.

O dedo do meio e indicador foram inspirados nas capas dos livros, mas a gravata cinzenta do Mr. Grey foi utilizada no Red Room of Pleasure (adoro pronunciar estas palavras! lol) para proporcionar prazer... obviamente hi hi. Pintei a gravata e as algemas utilizando pinceis da loja Born Pretty  (do set com 15 pinceis de nail art); verifiquem o meu código com 10% de desconto para  loja na barra lateral direita. Como mencionei acima, vou a meio do 2º livro e como tal, pouco sei relativamente ao significado das algemas (se bem que há uma cena muito interessante que as envolve juntamente com uma cama no livro 1...). No dedo indicador carimbei uns sapatos cinzentos de uma plaquinha da Essence que visam representar os Louboutins cinzentos que Miss Steele utilizou no baile de caridade (e sob os quais permitiu que Mr Grey introduzisse uma certas bolas prateadas malandras) :p

I loved doing these nails... but not as much as reading the books lol. I have limited time as of right now or else I would have devoured them all! Once more I advise you to read and enjoy, I'm sure you'll have some new ideas for the futuro with your boyfriend/husband ;) Some of my blogger friends (Marta e Alexandra) have told me they are eager for more books in Mr Grey perspective (I sure would love that!) and for a continuation book (I can't talk about it right now), but I do agree! lool Have a great Sunday and Kisses :)

Adorei fazer esta manicure... mas não tanto quanto ler os livros lol. Tenho o tempo bastante limitado senão já teria lido todinhos! Uma vez mais, aconselho-vos a ler e desfrutar, tenho a certeza que terão novas ideias para o futuro com o namorado/marido ;) Algumas das minhas amigas blogueiras (Marta e Alexandra) disseram-me que estão ansiosas por mais livros na perspectiva do Mr. Grey (eu adoraria!) e por um livro de continuação (sobre o qual não me posso pronunciar), mas de certeza que irei concordar! lool Tenham um óptimo Domingo e beijinhos :)

China Glaze Snow Globe & Capricho Gorgeous

Hello everyone : )

I bought China glaze Snow Globe in Summer believing it was a must have polish due to it's beauty. I still think the same... but why did it took me so long to use it?! I don't know the answer lol.  Snow Globe is from last year China Glaze Christmas collection - Let It Snow. I decided to layer it over pink and black, knowing it looks best over dark colors actually :p

Comprei o China Glaze Snow Globe no Verão acreditando que tinha mesmo de o ter dada a sua beleza. Ainda penso exactamente o mesmo... Mas porque é que demorei tanto tempo a usá-lo?! Desconheço a resposta lol. O Snow Globe pertence à colecção do Natal passado da China Glaze - Let It Snow. Decidi colocá-lo sobre preto e cor de rosa, sabendo de antemão que ele fica melhor sob cores escuras :p

What a great name! Snow Globe really reminds me of those pretty snowing globes :) Over Capricho Gorgeous it looks very sweet and elegant. But over black it's a stunner! I asked myself during the day why didn't I layer it only over black?? You can see I absolutly love the black version lol though the pink is still cute ;) Snow Globe has tiny and bigger opalescent hex :p I finished with one coat of Kinetics Kwik Kote top coat to even out the surface.

Mas que nome perfeito! Efectivamente recorda-me Globos de Neve fofinhos ;) Ele ficou deveras elegante sobre o Capricho Gorgeous... Mas sobre preto é magnífico! Perguntei-me repetidamente durante o dia porque motivo não apliquei-o somente sobre preto?? Podem perceber que fiquei fascinada lool apesar da versão cor de rosa ser fofinha ;) O Snow Globe é composto por glitters pequenos e médios opalescentes e hexagonais. Terminei com uma camada do top coat Kinetics Kwik Kote para sua suavizar a superfície.

Here's a couple pictures of Capricho Gorgeous with two coats. The bottle is so cute, i love it! lol. It is a pink jelly polish that tends to be more on the coral side indoors, easy applicable. Unfortunately I  think he is the reason why my manicure peeled the next day -.-'. 

De seguida tenho duas fotos do Capricho Gorgeous com duas camadas. O frasco é um mimo de lindo, adorei!!! Ele é um rosa com acabamento jelly que tende mais para o coral em ambientes fechados. Infelizmente penso que o Gorgeous é o motivo desta manicure ter lascado no dia seguinte -.-'.

Well, Snow Globe is a stunner right? lol But so perfect for a more elegant situation too! A must have indeed :p And Gorgeous by Capricho is so sweet too, I'm glad i have it lol! :p Do you own China Glaze Snow Globe? Do you like it? Stay well and kisses :)
