Peacock and Flowers nail arts with Moyou Suki 01 & Pro 13 XL

In the beginning of last week I received my Moyou plates purchased in August. Me and some lovely Portuguese ladies did a group buy to enjoy the 30% discount of that month. Moyou has been in the mouth and mind of (surely!) almost all bloggers and stamping nail art fans! You can't look at their plates and don't see anything you like... that's nearly impossible by now lol. I got 4 plates (of course now I regret not getting more) and I already enjoyed two manicures. So and considering the amount of delayed posts I have (hangs head in denial lol), I decided to post both today! :) 

No início da semana passada recebi as minhas plaquinhas Moyou que comprei em Agosto. Juntei-me a várias chicas guapas portuguesas e fizémos uma encomenda de grupo de modo a aproveitar em grande o desconto de 30% do dito mês. A Moyou tem certamente estado na boca e mente de quase todas as bloggers e amantes de carimbos e nail art por esse Mundo fora. É impossível não encontrar um desenho que verdadeiramente amamos na já vasta colecção de placas da Moyou. Comprei 4 placas (lamento não ter comprado mais lol) e já usei dois desenhos. Visto a quantidade de posts que tenho em atraso (tss tss embaraçada lol) decidi partilhar ambas neste post! :)

First we have the beautiful peacock from Moyou Suki 01 plate. I understand many ladies wonder how you can stamp with that plate. Truth is that you stamp normally and just erase the part of the designs you don't want in the stamper, using a q-tip embedded in acetone/polish remover. Of course you don't need to do a mess and apply too much polish in the plate right? lol :) For this design I painted my nails with Wet n' Wild Black Creme and then stamped with Mundo de Uñas stamping polish in Aqua (teal/green), Kiko Mirror 622 Glicine (purple) and La Femme Azul (Blue). Then I placed dots with Passe Nati Olho Turco and painted a coat of piCture pOlish Mardi Gras in pinky and thumb nails :) As the peacock details are very small I applied the polishes in the plate using a detailed brush and very quick moves :p I liked the result very much, but I got frustrated with the image placement... I think it would look so much better if the peacock image was facing the opposing direction. What do you think?

Primeiro temos este lindo pavão da plaquinha Moyou Suki 01. Sei que várias chicas não sabem como usar esta placa por ter desenhos muito próximos. Na verdade podem usá-la normalmente, tal como outras placas, e simplesmente limpar a parte do desenho que não vos interessa já no carimbo (obrigatório) com um cotonete/pau de laranjeira embebido em acetona/removedor. Claro que também não precisam colocar imenso verniz directamente na placa senão fica uma bela asneira, certo? ;) Para esta manicure comecei por pintar as unhas de preto com o verniz Wet n' Wild Black Creme. Depois carimbei com o verniz Aqua da Mundo de Uñas, Kiko Mirror 622 Glicine e La Femme Azul. Utilizando um boleador fiz bolinhas azuis com o verniz Passe Nati Olho Turco e pintei uma camada do verniz piCture pOlish Mardi Gras no dedo mindinho e polegar. Gosto muito desta imagem, mas confesso que fiquei frustrada... no meu entender o pavão ficaria melhor nas unhas se tivesse na direcção oposta. Que acham?

Then we have this gradient flower design :) This is easier to do. Just do a gradient using a sponge and your favorite colors and then stamp :p I used Elixir No 48, Pastel 95 and Kiko 290 Magenta scuro. The flower image is from Moyou Pro 13 XL and was stamped with Yes Love 346 polish. This plate has lovely flower designs :)

Depois temos esta flor com gradiente :) É mais fácil de fazer que a manicure anterior. Basta fazer um gradiente com os vossos vernizes favoritos e depois carimbar. Os vernizes que usei foram o Elixir 48, Pastel 95 e Kiko 290 Magenta scuro. A imagem florida pertence à placa Moyou Pro 13 XL e carimbei com o verniz Yes Love 346. Gosto bastante das flores desta placa :)

So far I'm enjoying the detailed images from my plates and how well they transfer into nails. And yes, I do recommend them based on my experience. You can get them in Moyou website (new collection are in pre-order and take a bit longer to arrive) or you can wait for the new 30% promotional code in November (precisely what I'll do! xD). Sunday Stamping Challenge: Stamp Over a Saran Wrap base

Hello gorgeous! :)

Today's AIS challenge theme make's me wonder why in the world don't I use this technique more often!? The theme is to stamp over a saran wrap base and my last manicure with saran wrap was agesss (months lol) ago! There's quite a few ways to do this method. What works best for me is to apply the second polish color on top of the dry base one and immediately use the crinkle saran wrap.

O tema de hoje do desafio semanal do grupo AIS faz-me questionar porque motivo parei de usar esta técnica!? O tema é carimbar sobre o método saran wrap. Este método consiste em utilizar película aderente (saran wrap) para criar padrões aleatórios nas unhas. Há várias formas de o fazer. A minha preferida é pintar a segunda cor do verniz sobre um verniz base bem seco e de seguida aplicar a película aderente enrugada repetidamente e a gosto pessoal na unha.

I love the outcome so much that I didn't stamp over the middle fingers, just to let the saran base show up :p Can you tell which one is the base color? lol. It's the green one, Elixir Make-Up Nº48. I'm surprised with the quality of this polish, almost a one coater, great formula and quick drier. It costed me almost 2€ too :) When dry (apply top coat to speed the process) I painted each nail at a time with the pink Elixir Make-Up Nº64 and did the saran wrap method. Its oh so easy to do! I recommend :)

Adoro tanto o resultado! :D Optei por não carimbar nos dedos do meio para destacar a base saran wrap :p Conseguem diferenciar a cor base da superior? lol. A base é a verde do verniz Elixir Make-Up Nº48. Fiquei surpresa com a qualidade deste verniz - quase one coater, seca rápido e tem boa formula; paguei quase 2€ por ele :) Quando secou (utilizem top coat para acelerar o processo) apliquei então o verniz rosa Elixir Make-Up Nº64 numa unha de cada vez e utilizei a película aderente enrugada. É um método super fácil de fazer e que recomendo :)

About the nail art, I picked the butterfly design from DRK-A plate and stamped with Mash black polish. One of the reasons why DRK-A is known if for this lovely stamp. It's my first time using it (don-t judge!) and I love it xD. In the middle fingers I placed to small black rhinestones from a Cheeky nail wheel, followed by Kinetics Kwik Kote top coat. 

Relativamente à nail art, escolhi o desenho das borboletas da placa DRK-A e carimbei com o verniz Mash preto. Este é um dos desenhos que caracteriza a placa e foi a primeira vez que o usei (não me julguem!), sendo que adorei! :) Nos dedos do meio coloquei uns pequenos rhinestones pretos de uma rodinha da Cheeky e terminei com o top coat Kinetics Kwik Kote.

This is still my notd and I'm not sure when I'll remove it. Boyfriend doesn't like the butterflies (surprise!) but unexpectedly liked the saran wrap lol. What about you? Me, I like everything :p Kisses :)

Esta ainda é a minha manicure actual e não sei quando vou remover. O meu love não gostou das borboletas (masque surpresa!), mas inesperadamente apreciou o resultado da técnica saran wrap. E vocês? Eu pelo menos gosto de tudinho xD Beijinhos :)

Review: IBI Nails Forbidden Island & Watermarble Nail Art

Hola chicas! :)

Today I want to present you to a new brand in Portugal: IBI nails represented by Dez Studio in Portugal. I personally met some of their colors in Expocosmetics and got this one to review :) IBI nails was created in 2006 and has a very large portfolio of colors, including regular, acrylic and gel polishes. Two months ago I was wearing IBI Nails Forbidden Island when I broke my nails just before taking pictures lol, this is why it took me so long to show you the polish after mentioning it in my expocosmetics post.

Hoje pretendo apresentar-vos a uma marca recentente em Portugal: a IBI Nails, representada pela Dez Studio. Conheci pessoalmente algumas das cores desta marca no stand da Dez na Expocosmética e recebi este para rever :) A marca IBI Nails foi criada em 2006 e possui um vasto portfólio de vernizes, incluindo não só vernizes regulares como também gel e acrílico. Foi há dois meses que parti as unhas, mesmo antes de tirar fotos ao verniz Forbidden Island; por isso demorei algum tempo a mostrar-vos esta beldade após mencioná-lo no post da expo. 

This brand is characterized by the ergonomic sexy shape (adaptable to our hand and really unique in my opinion), rubber lid (particularly love this characteristic as it helps in the polish application) and it's 4 Free. IBI's brush is long and has smooth bristles. Specifically about IBI Nails Forbidden Island, it belongs to the Tropical Color Collection and is a neon jelly pink polish with blue shimmer. I have nothing similar in my collection! :D The blue shimmer is very concentrate and perfectly noticeable in nails. Application was of a jelly polish, requiring three easy coats to full nail coverage. I don't like to see my white line, but if you don't mind 2 coats are enough then :) I said blue shimmer, but if you look closely I think there's small blue flakes instead of glitter, which adds more mystery to this gorgeous polish!

Esta marca é caracterizada pela forma ergonómica e sexy do frasco (adapta-se    à nossa mão e a forma é única na minha opinião), pela tampa de borracha (que gosto particularmente uma vez que facilita a aplicação do verniz) e é 4 Free (livre de cânfora, tolueno, formaldeído e fetalatos). O pincel da IBI é longo e possui cerdas macias. Especificamente falando do verniz IBI Forbidden Island, este pertence à colecção Tropical Color Collection e possui um acabamento neon jelly com shimmer azul. Não possuo nada similar na minha colecção! :D A aplicação é a de um verniz jelly, necesistando de três camadas para cobri as unhas. Mas se ao contrário de mim não se importam de ver a linha branca da unha, duas camadas são suficientes :) Eu escrevi shimmer azul, mas na verdade olhando com maior cuidado observei flocos azul muito fininhos, o que adiciona ainda mais glamour e mistério a este verniz! 

As IBI Nails Forbidden Island shows an interesting pigmentation, I decided to take my chances once more in water marble nail art. And guess what?! It worked!! :D I'm slowly getting my hand on this technique! :D I used three polishes for this flower marble, the other two being OPI Mod About The secret about water marble is to have good pigmented polishes.

Como este verniz Forbidden Island mostra uma pigmentação interessante, decidi arriscar-me novamente na nail art Water Marble. E adivinhem?!?! Funcionou!! :D Está a ser devagar, mas tenho cada vez mais sucesso com esta técnica :) Utilizei três vernizes para esta water marble de flor, nomeadamente o OPI Mod About You, Elixir Make Up 64 e claro, o IBI Nails Forbidden Island.

I wasn't a big neon finish lover, but things changed this year hehe. I'm in Love! I loved Forbidden Island alone and in the water marble, I like its complexity. That blue flake shimmer is something special and very pretty! I got a few compliments out in the sun as my nails were very flashy xD Its a hot color and perfect for this hot weather in my opinion :) Keep in touch with IBI Nails and Dez studio facebook pages to always be updated (links below). Quem me conhece há muito tempo sabe que eu não sa ou muito apreciadora de vernizes neon, mas recentemente estes gostos mudaram hehe. Adorei e fiquei apaixonada pelo misterios IBI Nails Forbidden Island! O shimmer em flocos azul é realmente algo de muito especial. Recebi vários elogios e olhares, especialmente ao sol porque as minhas estavam mesmo chamativas :p È uma cor perfeita para este tempo quente! Elixir Make-Up 64 & Perfect S40

Hola chicas! :)

Get ready.. you're about to see a very girly manicure! :p I combined two pink polishes from my untried polishes list both because I think they go nice together and also they are new brands to me :) But I got lazy and didn't take pictures of them alone :p

Preparados? Vão agora ver uma manicure com uma alta dose de feminilidade! :p Combinei dois vernizes que estavam em lista de espera porque não só vi que ficariam bem juntos, como também são marcas desconhecidas para mim. :) Mas estive preguiçosa e não tirei fotos dos respectivos individuais :p

My girly pink base is Elixir 65. I got this polish at Expocosmetics and know it is a Greek brand (I asked at the event). The bottle says it dries in 60 seconds and I can confirm it dries fast (I'll make sure on the 60s next time). I'm actually marveled at the quality of the brand... great pigmentation, almost one coater, huge shine and nice soft round brush. It is of really great quality :D 

A base cor de rosa é o verniz Elixir 65. Comprei este verniz na Expocosmética e sei que a marca é Grega (perguntei pessoalmente). O frasquinho indica que o verniz seca em 60 segundo; eu posso confirmar que seca rápido, mas da próxima vez farei o teste dos 60s lol. Estou encantada com a qualidade deste verniz! Excelente pigmentação, quase one coater, bom brilho e pincel redondo e macio. Muito bom! :D

Now Perfect S40 (Gahh no names!) is a lovely glitter with pink hexs and holographic microglitter. It spreads very well in nails and shines, beautiful! Perfect S40 belongs to the new glitter collection from Perfect and I got it at the Bulgarian store Beauty Cosmetics :)

Já o verniz Perfect S40 é um glitter adorável com hexágonos rosa e microglitter holográfico. O verniz espalhou-se muito bem nas unhas e brilha imenso, lindo! Este verniz S40 pertence à nova colecção de glitters da marca Perfect que comprei no site Búlgaro Beauty Cosmetics :)

Eventually I got tired of all the pink shine, so I grabbed OPI Matte Top Coat and applied one coat to achieve a matte polish. Much better! lol The images I used are from Gals 36 and Gals 7 plates, all stamped with MASH Black polish.

Eventualmente tanto brilho em cor de rosa deixou de combinar com o meu espírito lol, mas como não quis mudar de verniz optei por aplicar o verniz OPI Matte Top Coat. Muito melhor! :) As imagens que usei para carimbar pertencem às plaquinhas Gals 36 e Gals 7, ambas carimbadas com o verniz preto da MASH.

I like the matte result more than the shiny one when  it is stamped. Individually I love the polishes, but it felted like I took a shot of girlishness lool. What do you think?? Kisses :)

Tenho preferência pelo resultado matte carimbado do que pelo brilhante. Individualmente amo cada um dos vernizes, mas senti que tinha tomado um injecção de feminilidade lol. O que acharam?? Beijinhos :)

Sunday Stamping Challenge: Spring

Good afternoon :)

This weeks Sunday Stamping Challenge theme is something I really like, Spring! It's easy to come up with loads of manciure appropriate for this sweet theme :) I decided to do a Spring gradient and then stamp flowers because that's what Spring means to me, sunshine and flowers :) Lets take a look

O tema desta semana do desafio do grupo de facebook AIS é algo que gosto muito, a Primavera! É-me fácil pensar em diversas manicures que se adequam ao tema :) Optei por fazer um gradiente Primaveril e depois carimbei flores porque é isso que a Primavera representa para mim, sol e flores :) Vamos ver

I think it came out sweet but maybe I should have chosen another flowery pattern with more visible flowers. Anyway, base colors are Purple Professional Nº66 (reviewed here yesterday), Essence Free Hugs and Elixir Nº48 and I choose them in a pattern imitating the colors of a flower - yellow, pink and green :p On top I stamped the image from Gals GA 47 plate with La Femme Branco polish and finished with Color Club top coat.

Acho que ficou muito fofo mas talvez devesse ter usado um padrão com mais flores. As cores base são o Purple Profesional Nº66 (que revi aqui ontem), o Essence Free Hugs e o Elixir Nº48. Escolhi estas cores sob a lógica de imitar uma flor desde o centro para o exterior - amarelo, rosa e verde :p  Sobre tudo carimbei a imagem da plaquinha Gals GA 47 com o venriz La Femme Branco e terminei com o top coat da Color Club.

Colors blended well and made a rainbow in my nails lol because from their mixture resulted purple and orange, nice! Here's a couple pictures of the gradient alone without the stamping. I had to sponge the gradient three times because the green Elixir polish was a bit thin. Do you like this verion better or the stamping one?

As cores misturaram-se bem e criaram um arco-íris porque da sua mistura resultou roxo e laranja, interessante! De seguida mostro-vos algumas fotos do gradiente sem o carimbo. Tive que esponjar três vezes porque o Elixir verde era um tanto fluido. Gostam mais desta versão ou da carimbada?

I loved this stamping manicure because it's cheerful and happy, just like Spring is supposed to be. I'm sad to remove it today, but tomorrow I can't wear anything fancy in my nails lol. Did you like the overall look? Kisses and see you tomorrow :)

Adorei esta manicure carimbada porque é alegre e transmite-me boas vibrações, tal como a Primavera o faz. Estou até triste por remover a manicure hoje, mas amanhã não posso ter nada ousado nas unhas lol. Gostaram do look geral? Beijinhos e até manhã :)
