Andreia Pocket 10, 19 & 23 Review

Today I have a post about a cute box I received in In Beauty (beauty fair in Lisbon) from Andreia, a Portuguese brand.This box contains 3 nail polish, a base coat and a gel look effect top coat.  It also came with a few small rhintestones. I used this combination in all my swatches.

Hoje trago-vos a minha review de uma caixa fofinha que recebi na In Beauty da Andreia. A caixa contém 5 vernizes, nomeadamente três vernizes pocket com 10.5ml, uma base proteica e um top coat  com efeito gel.  A caixa também trazia um pacote com alguns rhinestones.  Usei esta combinação em todas as fotos abaixo.

Before the swatches, let's take a look at my first manicure with this box. I love the sexy and matte effect of the final result combined with the silver rhinestones! Also, it mathed my work outfits throughout the week haha!

Andes de vermos os vernizes individualmente, deixem-me que vos mostre a 1º nail art que fiz com este conjunto em tom de preto e vermelho. Tão sexy! Adorei, especialmente porque o gradiente matte vermelho e preto combinou tão bem com a semana fria e outfits do trabalho :) Também gostei da combinação matte com um rhinestone prata.

Starting with Andreia Pocket 10, a cute and sexy red with orange undertones. Sadly, only the color is ok. The application was terrible because it came with a irregular flat brush that made application near the cuticles so hard. 

Vamos começar pelo Andreia Pocket 10, um vermelho sexy com subtons alaranjados. Mas a cor é a única coisa positiva que tenho a dizer. O pincel achatado e com cerdas irregulares na sua extremidade dificultaram a aplicação do verniz, principalmente junto à cutícula. Consigo lidar com tudo, mas péssima aplicação deixa-me irritada. A cobertura é razoavelmente boa, duas camadas pigmentadas.

For this cute nail art I used all the nail polishes in the little box and freehanded small flowers with a thin brush. 

A cor como referi é bonita e apetecível nestes dias de Outono. Claro que resulta muito bem com nail art :p Neste caso desenhei flores com um pincel fininho usando todos os vernizes Andreia da caixinha. Gostei!

Next is Andreia Pocket 19, a normal black polish. I was hopping for hight pigmentation, but I got a normal one. Two coats. Much better brush by the way.

De seguida temos o verniz Andreia Pocket 19. Queria muito que fosse um preto pigmentado perfeito para nail art, mas é um verniz preto normal. Duas camadas. O pincel deste menino era muuuito melhor!

I had fun picking a nail art design and I'm still going a lot for the matte effect look. I stamped Andreia Pocket 19 with a leaf design from Moyra 104 stamping polish using Essie Nothing Else Metals.

Diverti-me a selecionar um carimbo para fazer uma nail art com o verniz Andreia Pocket 19. Acabei por selecionar uma imagem de folhas engraçada da placa de carimbo Moyra 104. Carimbei com o venriz Essie Nothing Else Metals e claro, matifiquei tudo.... estou encantada com o look matte gente!

Finally I bring you Andreia Pocket 23, the white I was also hoping for a quite pigmente shade. Well, it is pigmented, but need three coats to get a smooth white finish. Regardless, I know I'm going to use the entire bottle haha.

Por fim temos o verniz Andreia Pocket 23, que era também uma ambição de verniz branco pigmentado. É pigmentado, mas é um um verniz branco que precisa de três camadas para ficar uniforme. Apesar disto, certamente que vou usar o frasco todo hehe.

With the white base I decided to try out the new Andreia water decals. I received these geometric ones. They give a cute and different finish I must say. And they're so easy to use to you lazy people out there! hahah. a) Just cut the pieces you want to use, b) put in a bottle of water for 30s, c) remove the plastic protection, d) apply in nail and e) top coat. Et voilá!

Já com a base branca nas unhas, decidi experimentar uma das novidades da Andreia em termos de nail art que são os Water Decals. Podemos traduzir isto para adesivos de água e são perfeitos para vocês preguiçosas que gostam de ter unhas lindas mas não têm paciência para as fazer :p A aplicação é simples! 1) cortar os pedacinhos que querem usar, 2) colocar numa taça com água por 30s, 3) descolar a proteção transparente, 4) colocar nas unhas e 5) aplicar top coat. Et voilá!

GL Nails Star & Indigo Gel Polishes Review

Let's start the week with two gel polishes from GL Nails! And what do they have in common? Well, they're the metallics of the Butterfly lovely collection which allure us to Winter days Unlike GL nails Baby) :)

Vamos começar a semana com dois vernizes gel da GL Nails! E o que é que ambos têm comum? Ora, são os dois novos tons metálicos da colecção Butterfly Lovely! Ambos lembram-me dias de Inverno (ao contrário do verniz gel GL Nails Baby) :)

GL Nails Star is the silver gel polish of the collection. GL Nails Star has a thick formula that you must apply carefully so as not as to drag it too much. I could see brush lines whilst applying the gel polish, but they almost disappear after curing (phew!). The pigmentation is such that you can apply a single coat! I cured it in a LED lamp for 1 min/coat. I used GL Nails NutriOne as base and then GL Nails One top coat.

Star é o prata desta colecção da GL Nails. Tem uma fórmula metálica espessa que requer cuidado na aplicação e é muito pigmentado; uma camada cobre as unhas. Verifiquei marcas do pincel quando estava a aplicar o GL Nails Star e fiquei em estado de alerta, mas curiosamente as marcas quase que desaparecem depois de curadas na lâmpada LED. :D Curei 1min por camada na lâmpada LED, sendo que primeiro apliquei a base GL Nails NutriOne e finalizei com o top GL Nails One.

I used GL Nails Star in a cloudy day, which set me up for a dark nail art. I just stamped a black geometric pattern from Uber Chic UC 7-03 stamping plate with MdU/ Black. Then I applied a coat of GL Nails One top coat, cured it and done!

Quando usei o GL Nails Star o dia estava cinzento e chuvoso, o que me deixou numa disposição mais sombria. Assim sendo, carimbei um padrão preto geométrico e mais nada hehe. O padrão pertence à placa Uber Chic 7-03 e foi carimbado com o verniz MdU Black.

Now we have GL nails Indigo gel polish. The name almost matches the color because for me indigo has a bit more of purple in the formula. GL Nails Indigo in a metallic blue gel polish that is more sheer than the above brother. I needed three coats for full nail coverage. However, the brush strokes threat is the same and gone after curing haha. Application is the same as GL Nails Star.

Temos agora o verniz gel GL Nails Indigo. O nome é quase coincidente com a cor, mas para mim indigo tem mais roxo na formula. Estamos a falar de um tom azul metálico. Ao contrário do irmão Star, a formula do GL Nails Indigo é mais aguada e menos pigmentada; apliquei três camadas fininhas. Contudo a aplicação e até a ameaça de marcas de pincel é idêntica ao Star.

In terms of nail art, I used silver holographic nail foils because it looks so pretty over blue! :) The steps were: apply Catherine foil glue in vertical stripes, let dry and place silver holographic foil. I finished with GL nails One top coat et voilá!

Em relação a nail art, há muito que não brincava com foils... e foil prata holográfico sobre azul soa-me muito bem! Vai daí que apliquei a cola para foil da Catherine sobre o verniz gel GL Nails Indigo em riscas aleatórias, deixei secar e apliquei o foil! Finalizei com o top coat GL Nails One e pronto! :)

Andreia Profissional 14 Ever E15 & Born Pretty Store Black & White Geometric Stickers Review

When I attended In Beauty in last October, I was given a polish to test from the new Andreia Professional 14 Ever collection. As many brands have done, Andreia also created their own gel polish effect line with longer durability than regular polish and no need for LED/UV lamp.

Recebi um verniz Andreia Profissional da linha 14 Ever para testar e opinar no evento In Beauty, que decorreu em Outubro. Tal como outras marcas, a Andreia também lançou uma colecção de verniz com acabamento de verniz gel e durabilidade até 14 dias (sem catalisar em forno LED/UV). 

To achieve the 14-day durability, you must perform three steps: 1) apply Andreia Super Base, 2) apply Andreia 14 Ever color and 3) finish with Andreia Super Shine. I did as required with Andreia E15. The shine is sooo good!! I believe in part due to the jelly finish of Andreia E15, but also due to the 3-step combination. The red color is rather sexy, easy to apply and glossy. 

Para atingir essa durabilidade, há que seguir três passos: 1) aplicar a Super Base Andreia; 2) aplicar a cor Andreia 14 Ever e 2) aplicar o finalizante Andreia Super Shine. Assim fiz com a cor Andreia E15. Este vermelho é tão sexyyy!!! O brilho é qualquer coisa de espectacular, em parte certamente pelo acabam,ento jelly, mas por outro lado por fazer parte da linha com acabamento de verniz gel. Para um verniz jelly, a pigmentação é boa - sendo que apliquei duas camadas muito facilmente.

I never before tried full nail stickers. When I found the black & white geometric stickers (item 23056) available at Born Pretty Store, I asked to review them right away! :p They're easy to apply - just stick the correct size to your nail and press down. All was looking good... but I applied top coat and it didn't work! The sides started lifting, so do not apply top coat! All in all, I believe this is a nice solution for a quick manicure, but not for something that will last more than a couple days.

Nunca experimentei, nem usei adesivos de unha inteira. Por isso, quando vi uns adesivos com padrão geométrico preto e branco (item 23056) muito engraçados na loja Born Pretty Store, quis logo experimentar! :p São super fáceis de aplicar! É só escolher o tamanho certo da unha, colar e pressionar. Vai daí que Dona Cristina acha por bem pôr top coat... estragou tudo! as pontas e laterais começaram a levantar e bleh. Em conclusão, estes adesivos são uma boa opção para uma manicure rápida e bonita, mas não para durar mais de dois dias.

If you don't apply top coat over the BPS black & white geometric stickers, it looks rather nice as in the following nail art! In it I applied Andreia E15 in all nails except the ring finger. I finished with square black studs for a quick nail art et voilá! I quite liked it! :D 

Sem aplicar top coat, estes adesivos geométricos da loja BPS resultam muito bem! Aprendi a lição! Na manicure seguinte apliquei o adesivo no anelar e o Andreia E15 em todas as outras unhas. Terminei colocando tachas pretas quadradas e assim alcancei uma manicure super rápida e fashion! :)

Messy Mansion MM 69 Stamping Plate Review

Happy Sunday everyone! :) This is officially my last vacations day - oh no! Tomorrow I'm going back to work and to weekends off now and then ugh. Anyway, on to good things! Today I bring you a glamorous manicure as well as my review of Messy Mansion MM 69 stamping plate. Let's take a look?

Bom Domingo para todos! :) Este é oficialmente o meu último dia de férias - oh nãooo! Amanhã regresso ao trabalho e a fins de semana em casa alternados - bahh. Mas vamos falar de coisas boas! Hoje trago-vos uma nail art no mínímo glamourosa, bem como a minha review da placa de carimbo MM 69 da Messy Mansion. Vamos ver?

Messy Mansion MM 69 stamping plate is meant for glamour  & sparkle moments.. well, for anytime you feel like going glamorous! hahaha! The plate contains many designs, all falling in the category of diamonds and jewelry :D I love it! Stamping turned out to be flawless and I don't have a single complaint to point out - wonderful plate!

A placa de carimbo Messy Mansion MM 69 é perfeita para momentos de glamour e brilho... ou para qualquer outro momento em que nos queiramos sentir fantásticas! ahaha! :D A placa contém vários desenhos nas categorias de diamantes e joalharia. Adoro! Os desenhos carimbam todos muito bem e não tenho nem um erro a apontar - perfeito!

I decided to use three images of this plate in my manicure. But first, I applied two coats of I Love Nail Polish Pink Mimosa. What a gorgeous color! *-* ILNP Pink Mimosa has a sweet pink holographic shade with silver flakies, which are designed by ultra holography by the ILNP. In the middle finger I stamped diamonds, in the ring figer the jewelry designs and in the other nails the diamonds rever se image. I must note that the diamonds reverse image is super pretty! The black stamping polish used was Mundo de Uñas Black.

Optei por usar três desenhos desta placa visto que praticamente todos os desenhos complementam-se uns aos outros. Mas primeiro apliquei duas camadas do verniz artesanal I Love Nail Polish Pink Mimosa. Ohh que coisa mais linda! *-* O verniz ILNP Pink Mimosa tem uma base holográfica com aquele tom rosa mega fofinho e ainda carisma e elegância proporcionado pelos flocos prata característicos do acabamento ultra holográfico. Adoro e achei perfeito para combinar com diamantes ;p Por falar nisso, carimbei diamantes simples no dedo do meio, a palavra joalharia no anelar e a imagem reversa de diamantes em todos os restantes. Tenho que sublinhar que a imagem reverse de diamantes é qualquer coisa de muito bonita! <3 O verniz de carimbo foi o Mundo de Uñas Black.
