Sunday Stamping Challenge and Be Detail competition: Halloween

Hola chicas! :)

It's raining and cold outside, it feels like this manicure is very apropriate for today: a Haunted City :) This weeks stamping challenge theme is Halloween and so i decided to take the chance and also do a manicure to enter a Halloween challenge form Be Detail's facebook page (please go there and vote in my picture if you enjoy this mani :D). I didn't want to do the traditional halloweens designs... so i kept thinking and thinking until this idea hit me! I hope you like it :)

Está frio e chove lá fora, parece-me que esta manicure é apropriada para esta noite: uma Cidade Assombrada :) O tema do desafio dos carimbos desta semana é o Halloween; então aproveitei e decidi também participar no concurso de Halloween da página de facebook da Be Detail (se gostaram desta manicure, por favor dêem lá um salto e votem na minha foto :D). Eu não quis apostar nos desenhos tradicionais desta época... então matutei e matutei até ter esta ideia! Espero que gostem :)

I won't deny it, this haunted city took a lot of time to do but i tell you it's easy. I started by painting my nails with 2 coats of A England Avalon, a vibrant purple. Then i did a gradient featuring Essence Cool and the Gang and La Femme Azul for stamping); i loved the outcome and must do it again. After dry, i drew the buidings using W7 Black and it's own brush and with a dotting tool i did the windows with Kiko 279. I also used the same dotting tool do draw the small cute ghosts flying over the city lol and the white polish is La Femme Branco (for stamping). Finally to do the moon i used my trustful Kiko 404 brush and La Femme Branco polish, and stamped the bats from BM 213 with Essence Stampy polish black. In the end of the post there's a picture with all the materias i used :)

Não vou negar, esta manicure exigiu tempo de mim, mas foi fácil de fazer. Comecei por pintar as minhas unhas com 2 camadas do verniz A England Avalon, um roxo vibrante. Depois fiz um gradiente com o Essence Cool and the Gang e o verniz La Femme Azul próprio para carimbos; adorei o resultado e tenho de o repetir :) Depois de secar, desenhei os edifícios com o verniz W7 preto e o seu próprio pincel, e pintei as janelas com um boleador e o verniz Kiko 279. Também usei o boleador para desenhar os fantasminhas fofos que assombram a cidade lol sendo que o verniz branco é o La Femme Branco próprio para carimbos. Finalmente, desenhei a lua com o meu querido pincel 404 da Kiko e com o La Femme branco; carimbei os morcegos da plaquinha BM 213 com o verniz Essence Stampy Black. No fim do post tem uma foto com todo o material :)

All the white in my nails have a coat of Crystal Nº106 that glows in the dark... sadly i can't for the love of my life capture the light in the dark, do you have any suggestions to help me? I finished with two coats of Seche Vite to get an extra shine :)

Todo o branco nesta manicure tem uma camada do Crystal Nº106 que brilha no escuro... mas infelizmente eu não consigo capturar essa luz com a minha câmara :s Alguém tem sugestões para me ajudar? Terminei com duas camadas do top coat Seche vite para ter um brilho extra :)

I really like this manicure though i think the city buildings should have been smaller lol. I'm also sad that you can't see how crazy the moon looks with the dark bats glowing in the dark :s Ahh well :) Don't forget to vote for me if you have the time, i appreciate it :) Did you like it? Gostei muito desta manicure, apesar de achar que os edifícios deveriam ser menores lol. Estou um pouco triste de não vos poder mostrar como a lua fica espectacular a brilhar no escuro com os morcegos de fundo :s Enfim :) Não se esqueçam de votar em mim se tiverem um tempinho, eu agradeço :) Gostaram? OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest

Today i have a gorgeous polish to show you that blowed up my mind! lol It's OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest fom the recent Germany Collection 2012. I got this polish because of the name (Oktoberfest! I wished there was a simillar festival around here ih ih and my bf approves this idea) and the amazing color. I decided to wear this lovely this week in honor of my dear friend Alicia's thesis presentation (congratulation chica!!!) :D (a special polish for a special moment)

Hoje tenho um verniz maravilhoso para vos mostrar que explodiu a minha mente! lol É o OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest da recente colecção OPI Germany 2012 (Alemanhã). Comprei este verniz devido ao nome (gostava que houvesse um festival como o Oktoberfest em Portugal eh eh e o meu namorado aprova esta ideia lol) e pela cor. Decidi usar esta beleza esta semana em honra da apresentação da tese de uma querida amiga minha, a Alicia (parabéns chica!!!) :D (um verniz especial para um momento especial)

OPI Every Month Oktoberfest is a stunner. In the first coat we get a completely unexpected dark blue color  and then the second coat builds up do a burgundy shade, with a inky purple base filled with red shimmer! The red/brown shimmer is magnificent and what made me look constantly at my nails *_* (i used it for 3 days). The formula is very good and i love OPI's brush - flat, a bit wide and with soft bristles :) This color doens't suit the portuguese beer lol but it may have something related to a german beer brand xD

O verniz OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest é fantástico! Na primeira camada obém-se uma inesperada cor azul escuro; na segunda camada a cor constrói-se para um tom final bordeaux/vinho escuro, com uma base roxa escura preenchidíssima de shimmer vermelho! Este shimmer maravilhoso foi o que me fez olhar constantemente para as minhas unhas *_* (usei durante 3 dias) A fórmula é bastante boa e eu adoro o pincel da OPI pois é plano, largo e tem cerdas macias que facilitam imenso a aplicação do verniz :) A cor não tem nada a ver com a cerveja portuguesa lol, mas se calhar tem relação com alguma marca de cerveja alemã xD

The shine is amazing and kind of glossy, even knowing i added a final coat of Seche Vite top coat. Sadly my pictures have a lot of shine (i will have to solve this thing with my light and the polish shine since it's not the first time lol any ideas?), therefore you can't perfectly see the gorgeous red shimmer.

O brilho deste verniz também é de cair para o lado lol com um efeito gloss, mesmo sabendo que eu terminei com uma camada do top coat Seche Vite. Infelizmente as minhas fotos mostram em demasia o brilho deste lindo (tenho que resolver este problema da minha iluminação mostrar em excesso o brilho do verniz, pois não é a primeira vez que acontece... alguém tem ideias?), portanto não conseguem ver bem o shimmer vermelho.

I am very pleased i have this unique shade im my stash and i also think this is the color for this year Fall/winter... a gorgeous and powerfull shade! Did you enjoy this polish as much as i did? Do you have something simillar? Kissesss

Estou muito feliz por ter esta cor única na minha colecção e penso que esta é uma das cores chave para o outono/inverno deste ano... uma cor linda e poderosa! Em Portugal podem encontrar este verniz na Sephora por cerca de 14.90€ (são euros muito bem gastos na minha opinião) :D Gostaram deste verniz tanto quanto eu? Têm algo parecido? Beijinhosss

Do you remember my swap with sweet Nicole? She surprised me with a franken of her own called Doing the Cristina :D Awwwwww! :D And that is exactly what i bring you today :) I waited and waited until Fall arrived so that i could use it in his full plenitude :)

Gorgeoussss! *_* Doing the Cristina has a purple jelly base and needed 4 coats. I used a coat of Essence UGNS top coat to help it dry :p It's not easy to describe it since there's a lot going on lol but i can surely see small green, purple, red and blue hexes glitter along with small rounded glitter :) (just as complex as me ah ah). My silly camera focused the bottle instead of my nails... ahh well

Lindãoooo! *_* Doing the Cristina tem uma base roxa jelly e precisou de 4 camadas. Adicionei uma camada do top coat Essence UGNS para acelerar o processo de secagem :p Não é fácil descrevê-lo uma vez que há muita coisa a acontecer lol mas eu consigo definitivamente observar pequenos glitters hexagonais roxos, verdes, azuis e vermelhos, bem como glitter redondos menores :) (tão complexo quanto a minha pessoa! ih ih). A minha câmara ficou totó e focou o frasquinho em vez das unhas... enfim

Go Pink Wednesday! Dotting Gradient

About my nails, i had the same idea as last week, to do something everyone can do like a gradient of dots. You don't necessarily have to own a dotting tool because you can create your own with for example sticking a pencil with a sewing pin or use a rounded hairpin to do the dots :) My base is a sheer french pink from a Douglas french nails kit with 3 layers. Then with a dotting tool i placed random dots starting from the bottom of the nail and with the darkest pink following this order until the last lighter pink: Purple Nº8 , Kiko Nº312, Impala Brilho Vinil and Colorama Doce Loucura.

Relativamente às minhas unhas, eu segui a mesma lógica da semana passada no sentido de criar uma manicure que qualquer pessoa é capaz de fazer como um gradiente de bolinhas. Vocês não precisam necessariamente de ter uma pontilhador para fazer as bolinhas, pois podem fabricar os vossos espetando um alfinete de costura num lápis ou mesmo com um gancho de cabelo com a ponta redonda, a título de exemplo :) A minha base é um cor de rosa bastante translúcido de um Kit de unhas francesas da Douglas e precisou de 3 camadas. Depois, com um pontilhador fiz aleatoriamente as bolinhas começando com uma cor escura pela ponta da unha e seguindo para cima (para o efeito gradiente), segundo a seguinte ordem de vernizes rosa escuro para rosa mais claro: Purple Nº8 , Kiko Nº312, Impala Brilho Vinil e Colorama Doce Loucura.

I should have sticked to only 3 dotting nail polish colors because it looked best ah ah lol So this is my advice, if it looks good then don't add more colors xD

Eu devia ter-me ficado somente por três cores nas bolinhas porque ficou melhor dessa forma lool. Portanto este é o meu conselho, se ficou bonito, não adicionei mais cores xD

Kiko 385 Blue Pastello Reloaded

Who haven't fell in love over and over again with one of your own polishes?? Ah ah everyone! lol Last week i painted my friends nails with Kiko 385 Blue Pastello and my mind went crazy! I needed it in my nails once more, i was jealous of her nails loool xD And here he is my portuguese available version of Nails Inc Baker Street lol

Quem nunca se apaixonou vezes sem conta pelos seus próprios vernizes?? lol toda a gente! Na semana passada pintei as unhas de uma amiga com o Kiko 385 Blue Pastello e a minha mente ficou louca! Precisei dele nas minhas unhas uma vez mais lol fiquei invejosa das unhas dela lool xD E aqui está a minha versão acessível em Portugal do Nails Inc Baker Street lol

Not by itself as you can see lol, but sill with the gorgeous blue fully alive (reviewed here) :D I had in my mind for a while to stamp a blue polish with China Glaze 2Nite and the opportunity resented itself to me. This is too cute, i couldn't help staring at my nails to see if the holography was alive or discreet lol. And the weather also coloborated with me, the sun was shining lol :) The intertwined design is from MASH 41 plate and i finished with one coat of Seche Vite :)

Não está sozinho como pode ver lol, mas continua deslumbrante com a sua cor azul viva (revisão aqui) :D Já há algum tempo que tenho na minha mente carimbar um verniz azul com o China Glaze 2Nite e a oportunidade surgiu. Ficou muito fofo, não consegui evitar contemplar as minhas unhas a toda a hora para verificar se a holografia estava visível ou se discreta lol. E o tempo colaborou comigo, esteve sol :) O desenho interligado pertence à plaquinha MASH 41 e terminei com uma camada do Seche Vite :)

So sweet, this is a blue color that really makes my nails look beautiful (who cares about reds!?) lol :) Do you own something like this gorgeous color? And what about the holographic stamping? To discreet for you? Tell me you thoughts (or else i will personally get them lol). Kisses :)
