Sunday Stamping Challenge: With an Accent Nail

Good afternoon :)

For today in AIS group the choosen theme is stamping with an Accent Nail. It's a versatile theme and I think I may have gotten it wrong lol because I've seen all nails stamped with with a different accent nail in the group. Anyway, I just stamped my ring finger and loved the result :)

O tema escolhido para hoje no grupo AIS foi carimbar com uma Unha Acentuada. É um tema versátil e penso que devo ter entendido mal lol porque já vi manicures com todas as unhas carimbadas excepto uma unha acentuada. De qualquer forma, eu só carimbei o anelar e adorei o resultado :)

I wanted to do this manicure for the Epiphany day but Follow The Star by Penélope Luz wasn't with me yet; So I did it this week :) I'm in love, deep love with  Follow The Star... Penélope Luz is an indie maker from Brazil and made Follow The Star for her Christmas 2012 collection. It has medium and small golden hexs, golden bars and stars and golden shimmer/dust; all with holographic reflexes... Gorgeous!

Eu pretendia fazer esta manicure no Dia de Reis, mas o Follow The Star da Penélope luz ainda não tinha chegado a minha casa; Portanto fiz esta semana :) Estou apaixonada, profundamente apaixonada pelo Follow The Star... A Penélope Luz é uma indie maker Brasileira e este verniz Follow The Star pertence à sua colecção de Natal 2012. Ele possui glitter dourado hexagonal médio e pequeno, estrelas e barras/filetes dourados e uma poeira/shimmer dourado; tudo com reflexos holográficos... Lindão!

This is one generous coat of PL Follow The Star over two coats of Cliché Gótico, a Portuguese black polish. I had to do some brush fishing  for the stars but the other glitters are very well distributed in the brush. I stamped what to me is a shooting star from MASH 33 plate with Barry M Gold Instant Nail Effects :) Everything is topped with one coat of Purple 2 Dry and one coat of Seche Vite to obtain a smooth texture :p

Isto é uma camada generosa do PL Follow The Star sobre duas camadas de Cliché Gótico, um verniz preto português. Tive que pescar algumas estrelas com o pincel mas os restantes glitters vêm bem distribuídos no pincel. Carimbei, o que penso ser, uma estrela cadente da plaquinha MASH 33 com o verniz Barry M Gold Instant Nail Effects :) Para ter uma textura macia finalizei com uma camada do top coat Purple 2 Dry e uma de Seche Vite :p

Though I thought in this manicure for the six of January, I LOVED to use it now and would do it again in Summer... I Think it's beautiful! Follow The Star sort of gives a Universe feeling over black *.* What do you guys think?  See you tomorrow and Kisses :)

Review: Kinetics Kwik Kote

Hello everyone :)

Hope you're doing well this Saturday, specially if you are in Europe and Portugal, the weather is really bad today. Luckily for me, where I live its just raining and a bit of wind. Today I want to talk to you about a top coat I met in November and which I'm now saving each drop lol: its Kinetics Kwik Kote. I tend to use overseas top coats because in Portugal there was only two I've really trusted, but this changed recently (good for my wallet not to pay for shipping too) :D

Espero que estejam bem este Sábado, especialmente se estão na Europa e em Portugal, o tempo está péssimo hoje. Para minha sorte, onde vivo só está a chover e algum vento, nada de preocupante. Hoje quero-vos falar sobre um top coat que conheci em Novembro e do qual estou a a salvar cada gota lol: é o Kinetics Kwik Kote. Eu costumo comprar os meus top coats além-mar porque em Portugal, só confio em dois, mas esta situação mudou recentemente (excelente para a minha carteira não gastar dinheiro em portes) :D

And what do I expect form a good top coat? First is great speed in drying time and shine. As I said in another post a few months ago, fast drying time to me equals to paint a coat of top coat and 2 min later be able to pull down my pants if needed LOL (it's funny but I'm serious :p). Kinetics Kwik Kote respects my first and huge desire! :D It dries  very fast the polish underneath and gives a gorgeous shine :)

E que espero eu de um excelente top coat? Primeiro é excelente tempo de secagem e brilho. Como já referi num post de alguns meses atrás, velocidade tempo de secagem rápido, para mim, significa pintar uma camada e 2min depois poder puxar as calças para baixo se necessário LOL (é engraçado, mas estou a falar a sério :p). O Kinetics Kwik Kote respeita este meu desejo prioritário... maravilha!  :D Seca muito rápido o verniz que estiver por baixo e fornece um brilho estupendo :)

The second very importantant characteristic to me is that the top coat must be able to prevent bubbles. Kinetic Kwik Kote does, score!! :D The following example is Ludurana Supernova Fenômeno that made awful bubbles :( But a coat of Kinetic Kwik Kote solved it all! :)

A segunda característica muito importante para mim é a prevenção de bolhas. O top coat tem de ser capaz de as eliminar quando surgem. E o Kinetics Kwik Kote elimina, felicidade!! :D O exemplo seguinte é com o verniz Ludurana Supernova Fenômeno que infelizmente seca cheio de terríveis bolhas :( mas uma camada de Kinetics  Kwik Kote resolveu o assunto :)

The third important feature to me is to don't smudge my stamping designs, but this is me who stamps. If you're not a stamping addict like I am, you're so very well served with the drying time and shine of Kwik Kote :) Next I have a couple pictures of Ludurana Supernova stamped with MASH Black Polish and a coat of Kinetics Kwik Kote in all nails; the top coat smudged just a bit. Afterwars I have a picture of Kinetics Shall We Dance stamped  with Kiko 399 and this time there's almost no smudging  (pinky isn't noticeable in reality) :D

A terceira importante característica para mim, é não borrar os meus carimbos, mas isto sou eu que adoro carimbar. Se vocês não possuem este amor, então  estão muito bem servidos com o tempo de secagem e brilho do Kwik Kote :) De seguida tenho algumas fotos do Ludurana Supernova Fenômeno carimbado com o verniz MASH black e uma camada de Kwik Kote em todas as unhas; o top coat borrou/arrastou o desenho só um pouquinho. Depois tenho uma foto do Kinetis Shall We Dance carimbado com o kiko 399 e desta feita quase não há alteração do desenho (o dedo mindinho é pouco visível pessoalmente) :D

We're currently facing a Holographic lover trend and there are few available top coats that don't erase the holographic Prism. In the following pictures I have Layla Flash Black alone and with a coat of Kinetics Kwik Kote in the middle finger. I think the holography was mantained but the prism is more difuse and larger with the top coat.

Actualmente estamos a experimentar uma tendência de amor louco pelos vernizes holográficos e existem muito poucos top coats que não eliminam o prisma holográficos destes. Nas fotos seguintes tenho o Layla Flash Black sozinho e com uma camada de Kinetics Kwik Kote no dedo do meio. Penso que a holografia manteve-se, mas o prisma ficou um pouco difuso e mais largo com top coat.

My overall thought is I love Kinetics Kwick Kote! It may smudge a bit the stamps and change a bit the holographic prism, but is completely satisfies my golden rules in a top coat: fast drying time, shine and bubble prevention :D So you can for sure understand why I'm saving every drop of Kwik Kote lol, because I'm in the middle of the 15mL bottle and I'm scared it will finish :p Unfortunately, Kwik Kote does have a negative feature; in the first two applications it has a very particular strong smell! For the first time I had a headache with nail polish. But then I got used to the smell and all the great characteristics are so worth it! Hope you liked my review and be sure you won't feel deceived with Kinetics Kwik Kote :) Kisses

A minha opinião geral é de que adoro este top coat! Pode manchar um pouco o carimbo e alterar o prisma holográfico, mas reúne as minhas características de ouro num top coat: tempo de secagem rápido, brilho e prevenção de bolhas! :D Compreendem então porque estou a economizar cada gosta do Kinetics Kwik Kote lol, porque já vou a meio de um frasco de 15mL e não quero que acabe :p Infelizmente, o kwik Kote tem um lado negativo; trata-se de um cheiro muito forte e distinto que se nota nas duas primeiras utilizações. Eu inclusive fiquei com dores de cabeça e tal nunca me aconteceu com vernizes. Mas, eventualmente fiquei acostumada e digo-vos que todas as características que ele tem valem a pena este pequeno pormenor! Espero que tenham apreciado a minha revisão e acreditam que não vão ficar decepcionadas com este top coat da Kinetics :) Beijinhos

Shimmer Cristina & Yes Love 009

As a nail blogger and nail polish "addicted" girl I couldn't resist getting the one polish with my name (correctly spelled on it... Shimmer Cristina! This polish by Shimmer Polish was released last September and ever since I kept an eye on it waiting for my chance to get it lol ;) 

Como blogueira e menina "viciada" em vernizes que sou, não consegui resistir ao único verniz que possui o meu nome (correctamente soletrado) nele... Shimmer Cristina! Este verniz da marca indie Shimmer Polish foi lançado em Setembro e desde então que eu tenho um olho nele, pacientemente aguardando a minha oportunidade de o ter lol ;)

Shimmer Cristina is predominantly dark forest green with traces of fuchsia and teal microglitters. Lucky for me, forest green is a green color I enjoy quite a lot and really loved this polish *.* But why couldn't it be blue , pink or red?? eh eh :p Formula a bit thick as desired in a glitter polish and good enough to don't flow my cuticles (that would be terrible to clean lol). It dries fast, when I finished painting one hand the other was already dry :)

O Shimmer Cristina é predominantemente verde floresta escuro com traços de microglitters fúcsia e teal. Sorte a minha que verde floresta é uma cor que gosto e como tal adorei este verniz *.* Mas bem que podia ser azul, rosa ou vermelho lool. A formula é um pouco espessa mas característica fundamental para não escorrer para as cutículas (tarefa árdua a de limpar um glitter!). Seca muito rápido, quando terminei de pintar uma mão a outra já estava seca :)

This was one generous coat of Shimmer Cristina over one coatYes Love 009, and with three coats of Cristina you get to have full nail coverage :p Yes Love 009 is a green creme polish gifted to me by dear Miminhos :) She knows I have a bad experience with this brand and hence decided to introduce me to particularly good shades. Well, this one is great! Coverage in one single coat, great shine, great formula and great drying tome for 1€ *.*

Nas fotos observam uma camada generosa do Shimmer Cristina sobre uma camada do Yes Love 009, sendo que com três camadas do Cristina obtém-se cobertura total das unhas :p O Yes love 009 é um verniz cremoso que foi oferecido pela querida Miminhos :) Ela sabe que eu tenho uma péssima experiência com a marca e por isso decidiu introduzir-me a alguns vernizes particularmente bons. Bom, este é deveras bom! Cobertura total das unhas com uma camada, excelente brilho, excelente tempo de secagem e boa formula por 1€! *.*

After two days I decided to play with my Cristina lol and what did I do? Stamped of and then mattified :p The image I used is from DRK-A plate stamped with MASH stamping black polish and mattified with MASH Matte Polish :) Loved the result! :D

Depois de dois dias decidi brincar com o meu Cristina lol e que fiz? Carimbei e de seguida matifiquei :p A imagem que usei pertence à placa DRK-A, carimbada com o verniz preto de carimbar da MASH e matifiquei com o verniz top coat MASH Matte :) Amei o resultado! :D

Doesn't the stamped version look like a wallpaper? To me it does xD. I'm very pleased with the polish with my name on it, it's a beautiful glitter :) Your thought on this? Do you own any polish with your name? Kisses :)

Não vos parece um papel de parede a versão carimbada? A mim sim xD. Estou muito satisfeita com o verniz que tem o meu nome, é um glitter lindo :) O que acharam? Têm algum verniz com o vosso nome? Beijinhos :)

OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service

Hello gorgeous :)

First there was Zoya Feifei... then there was OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service, an exact dupe of Zoya. I drooled so much over this color that as soon as I got the chance I grabed OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service just in time to watch the premiere of Skyfall here in Portugal lol. Oh yes, it's been two/three months that I've held pictures of this polish lol and that's because ever since i saw the beggining of Skyfall I wanted to do a special nail art... but you see, the time to do it never came so here it is :p

Primeiro surgiu o Zoya Feifei... depois o OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service, um dupe exacto do Zoya. Babei tanto nesta cor que assim que surgiu a oportunidade, comprei o OPI On Her majesty's Secret Service, mesmo a tempo da estreia de Skyfall em Portugal lol! Ah pois, tem cerca de dois/três meses que guardo as fotos deste verniz lol e tal deve-se ao facto de desde que vi a introdução do filme desejar fazer uma nail art específica... Mas, enfim, o tempo nunca surgiu portanto aqui está este OPI :p

Weather was against me and photos in those two days I wore OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service, so I never could really show you the depth of the polish. It's a polish full of colored glass flecks in gold, green, pink, purple and blue in a blue/grey base. I quite love it! *.* Can't decide if the base is blueish or greyish lol. But opposite at to what I was expecting form OPI I needed 3 coats of On Her majesty's Secret Service and in both the first coats there was bald spots; it all got even out with the third coat. The shine... well, its amazing! You can't imagine how it claimed for attention in the movie lights :D I finished with a coat of Kinetics Kwik Kote top coat.

O tempo estava contra mim e as foto em ambos os dias que usei o OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service, por isso não vos consigo mostrar bem a sua profundidade.  É um verniz cheio de glass flecks multi-coloridos, em dourado, verde, rosa, roxo e azul numa base azul/cinzenta. Adoro!! *.* Não me consigo decidir se a base é azul acinzentada ou cinza azulada lol. Mas ao contrário do que esperava da OPI, precisei de 3 camadas em que as duas primeiras arrastaram, mas tudo ficou perfeito com a terceira camada. O brilho... bem, o brilho é espectacular, especialmente sob as luzes do cinema! *.* Terminei com uma camada do top coat Kinetics Kwik Kote.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service is gorgeous! Lemming satisfied! lool Actually I think this entire OPI Skyfall James Bond 007 collection is pretty amazing! I don't own any more colors but believe me I would if I could... love the names and the colors! :p What do you think? Would you wear a shade like this? Kisses***

Review: Purple Professional Nº 52

Ciao Ragazze! :)

Santa was very kind last month and gave me a nice polish for me to review from a brand I keep being surprised every time I use one of their polishes: Purple Professional (Portuguese brand). As I've been told, this green Purple Nº52 is the best seller of Winter Purple Professional collection! I can't imagine why... it's gorgeous and very elegant! And note that I'm very picky with greens :p

O Pai Natal foi generoso no mês passado e ofereceu-me um verniz para rever de uma marca que sou continuamente surpreendida sempre que uso os seus vernizes: Purple Professional (marca Portuguesa para quem não sabe). Fui informada de que esta é a cor mais bem vendida da colecção deste Inverno da Purple Professional!  Não consigo imaginar porquê... é super lindo e elegante!! E atenção que eu sou esquisita com vernizes verdes lol :p

It's been about 3 months I don't use any of my Purple Professioanl polishes, except the white nº32, and I apparently forgot how much I love it!. I loved Purple Nº52: two thin and easy coats of Purple Nº52 (love the brush), great formula that self levels effortlessly and quick dries to an amazing shine!  I didn't use top coat so you can see it for yourself :D Honestly, the bad part of this polish is to photograph its colors.. I took hundreds of pictures and these are the most lookalike... In reality Puple Nº52 is an emerald green polish, slightly greener than in the following pictures and maintains the dustiness :)

Há cerca de três meses que não uso nenhum verniz da marca, excepto o Purple Nº32, e aparentemente esqueci-me do quanto a adoro! Amei este verniz Purple Nº 52: duas camadas finas e fáceis de aplicar (adoro o pincel), formula excelente que nivela-se na unha sem esforço e seca muito rápido com um brilho espectacular! Não utilizei top coat de modo a vocês observarem-no nas fotos :D Sinceramente, a pior parte foi fotografar a verdadeira cor do Purple Nº 52... Tirei centenas de fotos e as seguintes são as que mais se aproximam... Na realidade, O Purple Nº 52 possui uma cor verde esmeralda, um pouquito mais verde que nas fotos :)

In fact, I loved this color but of course I couldn't leave it alone and a turtle pattern looked perfect on it lol. So I stamped using MASh Black stamping polish and Bundle Monster 313 plate. In the pinky and ring finger I applied afterwards a coat of Purple 2 Dry top coat but realised the stamp smudged so then I changed to a coat of Seche Vite in all the other nails :p

Na verdade gostei muito da cor, mas obviamente que não o podia deixar só... e pareceu-me que um padrão de tartaruga ficaria ali perfeito. Portanto, carimbei o padrão da plaquinha Bundle Monster 313 com o verniz  MASH black. De seguida adicionei uma camada do top coat Purple 2 Dry no dedo mindinho e anelar até que verifiquei que o carimbo borrou, então passei para uma camada do top coat Seche Vite em todas as restantes unhas :p

Gorgeous color, I believe it would look nice in almost all skin colors :) It suddenly became my second favorite Purple polish, only beaten by Purple Nº39 :p As you may or may not have noted, emerald green is the color of 2013 declared by Pantone, so go ahead and get a bottle for yourself! ;) At the moment Purple Professional only sells in Portugal (retailing from 2 to 3€), but according to their Facebook page they'll expand to Brasil soon :) Thoughts in this color, specially green lovers? Kisses :)

Uma cor deslumbrante! Acredito que ficaria bem em muitos tipos de pele :) Tornou-se o meu segundo verniz favorito da marca, só passado pelo Purple Nº39 :p Como já devem saber (ou não), a cor verde esmeralda foi declarada como cor do ano 2013 pela Pantone, portanto vão em frente e comprem um frasco para vocês! ;) De momento a marca Purple Professional só vende em Portugal (gama de preços de 2-3€), mas segundo o facebook da marca vão-se expandir em breve para o Brasil :) O que pensam desta cor? Especialmente as amantes de verde? Beijinhos :)
