Valentine's Day: Estée Lauder Blue Blood & BBF Your Song

Hello sweeties, 

Happy Valentine's Day! :) And good day to who doesn't celebrate it :p Today I want to show you what I had in my nails yesterday and today. Besides being Valentine's Day, it also is my boyfriends birthday lol. I decided to not do nail art because I don't have the time and wear something I truly like and he likes too! I'll be honest... I have both these two polishes with me for more than 4 months awaiting for today hahaha

Feliz dia dos Namorados! :) E bom dia para quem não o celebra :p Hoje quero-vos mostrar o que usei ontem e hoje nas minhas unhas. Além de hoje ser o Dia de S. Valentim, é também o aniversário do meu namorado lol. Decidi não fazer nenhuma nail art por falta de tempo, e usar algo totalmente apaixonante e maravilhoso para mim e que ele também gosta! Vou ser honesta... tenho ambos os vernizes comigo há mais de 4 meses guardando-os para esta ocasião loool

Blue! Yes, something I truly like! ;) Estée Lauder Blue Blood was gifted to me by my birthday and I was waiting to use it in a special occasion :) Nowadays every time I buy a nail polish I hear something like "not another blue!" lol so he sure knows what to offer me LOL. Against my desires, Blue Blood is a pain in the ass for such an expensive brand! The brush is flat and has soft bristles, which is good, but it was difficult to apply the nail polish :s Formula needs 3 coats, floods the cuticles and makes bald spots in the first coat. It also made some small bubble, hate it! What I liked is the color, navy blue with a duochrome shimmer, shifts from blue to purple, but on the bottle! It's almost invisible in the nail! I also liked the shine, that was very good, and the drying time, also very good. So, after this journey... I put on a coat of Seche Vite, cleaned my cuticles and enjoyed the good aspects of the polish.

Azul! Sim, algo que gosto verdadeiramente! ;) O verniz Estée Lauder Blue Blood foi-me ofereido pelo meu love no dia dos meus anos em Setembro, sendo que estava a guardá-lo para uma ocasião especial :) Actualmente quando compro algum verniz oiço um zumzum no ar "Mais um azul?!" lol, portanto ele sabe bem o que me oferecer :p Contra os meus desejos, o Blue Blood é uma porcaria para uma marca tão cara! O pincel é achatado e com cerdas macias, o que é o ideal, mas de algum modo foi difícil aplicar o verniz com :s A formula necessita de três camadas para cobrir as unhas mas escorre para as cutículas e ainda fez umas mini bolhas, que detesto! Gostei muito da cor azul navy profundo, com shimmer duochrome que varia entre azul e roxo, mas que só existe no frasco! Na unha, o shimmer quase desaparece! Também gostei do brilho, muito bom, e do tempo de secagem, também muito bom. Portanto... depois desta saga, coloquei top coat Seche Vite e tratei de desfrutar do verniz.

My boyfriends part honored, it's time to mine with BBF Your Song! *.* BBF is the name of the brand created by Tiane from Brazil and also the name of her store, where she sells her BBF's, Penélope Luz's polishes and some imported polishes too. I got my beloved BBF Your Song with the help of my friend Lari and if before I was in love with the picture, in person I was amazed, true love! How can it not be? Blue Hearts, microglitter and some random squares and hexs... all matte blue gliiter *.* I have a single coat in all my nails and only had to fish out a couple of hearts. I love it!

Honrado o meu namorado, passamos para a minha pessoa com o BBF Your Song! *.* BBF é uma marca indie Brasileira criada pela Tiane e é também o nome da loja onde ela não só vende os seus vernizes, como também os vernizes da Penélope luz e alguns importados. Consegui o meu adorado Your Song com a ajuda da minha querida Lari e se já antes estava apaixonada pelas fotos, pessoalmente fiquei louca! E como não? Corações, microglitter e ocasionais hexágonos e quadrados matte azuis *.* Apliquei só uma camada em todas as unhas e tive só que pescar dois corações. Adoro-o! Formula e tempo de secagem impecáveis!

Hearts & Mollon Pro Caviar Manicure Nr 03 Violet

Olá meninas :)

I love doing love/romantic nails and with the Valentine's Day approaching I can't resist to show you one more manicure :p This one is more complex but easily accomplishable at home. It feature the new Mollon Pro Caviar Manicure shade in Violet, a gorgeous shade of caviar beads in my opinion :)

Adoro fazer unhas românticas e com a aproximação do dia de S. Valentim, não consegui resistir a mostrar-vos mais uma manicure :p Esta é um pouco mais complicada, mas igualmente concretizável e fácil de fazer em casa. Utilizei o novo e lindo tom violeta de manicure caviar da Mollon Pro, nomeadamente o Mollon Pro Caviar Manicure Nº03 Violet :)

I love the lilac base color with the beautiful purple shimmer, it's Essie She's Picture Perfect. It needs three coats but they are easy to apply :) I have showed it previously in this post and there the shimmer is most noticeable.  

Adoro a cor lilás do verniz base com o lindo shimmer roxo, é o Essie She's Picture Perfect. Ele precisou de três camadas mas forma fáceis de aplicar :) Já o tinha mostrado anteriormente neste post, sendo que nele o shimmer é mais visível que agora.

After dry, I added a layer of Seche Vite top coat and with a dotting tool I did my design with Mollon's Caviar beads one nail of a time. I started by the heart, my most feared part of the design because I can never get equal sides in a heart when drawing in paper! lol I don't know how it came out this good! :p Then I did the other nails quite fast because there's really no science to it :p By fast I mean less than 40 minutes including painting, its affordable to everyone :) I finished with another coat of Seche Vite in all nails to seal the beads.

Depois de seco, adicionei uma camada do top coat Seche Vite à medida que fui construindo o desenho, uma unha de cada vez, com ajuda de um pontilhador e com as pérolas Caviar da Mollon. Comecei pelo coração pois era o meu maior receio, isto porque nunca consigo fazê-lo bem em papel (os lados ficam sempre diferentes!) lol. Não sei como este coração ficou tão bem! Depois fiz as restantes unhas bastante rápido porque não requerem nenhuma ciência especial :p Por rápido refiro-me a 40 minutos, incluindo pintar as unhas, portanto é acessível a todas nós :) Terminei com mais uma camada de Seche Vite para selar as bolinhas de Caviar.

I love how this turned out!! Super cute and nice *.* I recently realised I keep playing with Mollon Pro Caviar Beads but I've never posted a manicure with a full nail caviar manicure. Honestly I like to play with the beads, but one of these days I will. Purple Professional Nº 49

Hello ladies :)

Purple Nº49 is one of Purple Professional's 2012 Fall/Winter collection polishes and one of which who catched most of my attention. I had to buy it after seeing so many swatches out there.. In all pictures I saw I always thought on wearing this color in a grey/rainy day, covered in blankets in my couch lol (don't judge me!)

O verniz purple Nº49 é um pelos quais perdi a cabeça da colecção de Outono/Inverno 2012 da Purple Professional. Tinha de ter o meu próprio depois de ver tantos swatches por aí... Em todas as fotos que vi não consegui evitar imaginar-me a usar a cor enrolada me mantas no meu sofá, num dia cinzento e chuvoso lol (não me julguem!)

This is a sweet white lilac color that flatters my skin tone :) I can see myself using this one many more times :) As opposed to my all Purple's, thin one has a more jelly than creme finish. It needs 3 coats to full nail coverage and just like my others, it dries fast, has a gorgeous shine (without top coat in pictures) and has an awesome formula. I'm always surprised by Purple Professional polishes formula quality and brush, specially because I paid 2.95€ in a retailer near me :) I hit the table with my middle finger before pictures, I hate when this happens but ohh well...

Esta é uma cor lilás esbranquiçada super doce e que adoro como fica no meu tom de pele :) Consigo ver-me a usá-la mais vezes :) Ao contrário de todos os vernizes da Purple que possuo, este Purple Nº49 tem um acabamento mais jelly do que cremoso, sendo que necessita de três camadas para cobertura total das unhas. Mas tal como todos os outros, a formula é muito boa, brilho estupendo (sem top coat nas fotos) e seca rápido. Sou constantemente surpreendida com esta marca em termos de formula e pincel, especialmente porque paguei 2.95€ num revendedor perto de mim :) Bati na mesa antes de tirar fotos... detesto quando isto acontece, mas enfim :p

You know, it screams for nail art, right? lol I broke my couch promess in less than 24h lol and stamped it in red with La Femme red polish, using the hearts design from MASH 39 plate and entering the romantic spirit of the season :) A couple of hours later I painted the french tips with the same stamping polish... I have to learn to stay still lol.

Não acham que o verniz grita por nail art? lol Quebrei a minha promessa do sofá em menos de 24h! Carimbei os corações da plaquinha MASH 39 com o verniz La Femme vermelho, entrando no espírito romântico da época :p Duas horas mais tarde fiz as francesinhas com o mesmo verniz que carimbei com... tenho de aprender a ficar quietinha lol.

I think the version without the french tips was the better one lol, but I didn't take pictures eheh. I'm sure I'll use this polish Purple Nº49 quite often, its very delicate and suits all seasons :) Do you Know MASH Nails has an awesome Valentine's Day promo going on now? Sunday Stamping Challenge: Valentine's Day

Hello :)

I'm back at AIS Sunday stamping challenges :) I missed it last week, but I had zero plates for that challenge theme :p Today's challenge theme is Valentine's Day and I did something girly.. maybe too girly, lets have a look 

Estou de volta aos desafios dos Domingos do grupo AIS :) Senti saudades na semana passada, mas não tinha nem uma placa para o tema passado. O tema de hoje é o Dia de S. Valentim e fiz algo feminino... talvez demasiado feminino lol, vejamos

My pink base is two coats Essence Free Hugs. I have showed it previously here but I think the formula is thicker and harder to manage than before :s Then I sponged Finaflor Lua, a gorgeous silver holographic glitter, in my tips and stamped using MASH Black Polish the full image design from BM 317 plate. This is a full nail image and when stamping I erased the the other part of the designs with a Q-tip embeded in acetone :p

A base cor de rosa é duas camadas do Essence Free Hugs. Já o mostrei aqui, mas parece-me que a formula está a ficar grossa e difícil de lidar com :s Depois esponjei as pontas das unhas com o verniz Finaflor Lua, um lindo glitter holográfico prata :) Para carimbar, utilizei o verniz preto da MASH e o desenho da plaquinha BM 317. Este desenho é de unha inteira e para ficar assim limpei a parte do desenho que não me interessava com um cotonete embebido em acetona :p

I think it looks sweet and cute but maybe too girly for me lol, specially the above picture without the stamping made me think of Barbie eheh :p What do you think? Acho que ficou um look fofinho e doce, mas talvez demasiado feminino para mim lol, especialmente na foto acima, sem carimbo, que me fez pensar na Barbie lol :p O que acham?
