Sunday Stamping Challenge: Under The Sea

How was your Womans Day? Mine was so good... I pretty much relaxed and did things that were forbidden centuries ago hehe. I love being a woman! :) Today's AIS challenge theme is Under The Sea. It's the second retake but I didn't participate last year (don't remember why lol). Yesterday I went to Kiko store to check out the new colections and was rewarded with a gift from Mr. Clockwise Nail Polish! Yay! He gifted me a polish from the Cupcakes collection and I chose Kiko 654 Anice :)

Desfrutaram do vosso dia das Mulheres? Eu sim... basicamente relaxei e fiz coisas que eram proibidas há séculos atrás hehe. Adoro ser mulher! :) O tema do desafio do grupo AIS de hoje é "Debaixo do Mar". É a segunda vez que este tema surge, mas por algum motivo (que não me lembro) não participei no ano passado. Ontem fui à Kiko espreitar as novas colecções e fui presenteada com um verniz pelo namorado :) Escolhi o Kiko 654 Anice da nova colecção Cupcakes. Os frascos são uma fofísse! :)

Of course I had to play with it as soon as I got home! Curiosity about this sprinkle sand texture has spread the nail world recently with the NOPI Roughless and Kiko Cupcake collections and I wasn't imune to it, specially because I love the texture finish. In my opinion, you have to see the polishes by yourself in order to decide if you like it or not. I've seen many swatches of the Kikos and there's a lot that I don't like, possibly because people didn't wait for the polish to fully dry before taking pictures... or waited a couple minutes before applying the next layer (essential for this type of finish). The botles are too gorgeous! The texture finish, thick but manageable formula and drying time of Kiko 654 Anice is the same of the previous Kiko's Sugar Mat collections; you feel the gritty texture but it's soft and doesn't bother in any way. Kiko 654 Anice was opaque in two coats, but I had to apply three coats in some nails. It has a soft blue pigment that dries fully matte and blue sprinkles. About the blue sprinkles of Anice, I feel like they could be better spread. I love the pointy finger and wished that the ring one had more even sprinkles. All in all, I'm very fond of this polish :) I bought one more to try out (soon) and will wait for the prices to drop before purchasing a couple more shades that I loved (the white and sweet pink).

Claro que tinha de brincar com este menino assim que cheguei a casa! Nos últimos dias (semanas) o Mundo das Unhas foi invadido com uma curiosidade tremenda sobre o acabamento das colecções NOPI Roughless e Kiko Cupcakes. Eu não fui de modo algum imune, até porque amo o acabamento arenoso! Sinceramente, acredito que é necessário ver os vernizes ao vivo para decidir se gostamos ou não. Tenho visto bastantes swatches online dos Kikos, mas não gostei de vários... quer porque a pessoa não esperou que o verniz secasse entre camadas (o ideal para este acabamento), quer porque também não esperou que o verniz secasse completamente antes de o fotografar. Em comparação com as colecções anteriores da Kiko Sugar Mat, o acabamento do verniz Kiko 654 Anice é idêntico em termos de textura, secagem e formula espessa, mas controlável. Ele cobre as unhas com duas camadas, mas tive que aplicar três nalgumas unhas. É composto por um pigmento azul claro que seca totalmente fosco e por "bolinhas" azuis. A textura ao toque é arenosa, mas não incomoda nem prende na roupa/cabelo. Relativamente aos sprinkles azuis, na minha opinião podiam estar mais bem distribuídos; adoro o dedo indicador, mas por ex o dedo anelar podia ter uma melhor distribuição. Não apliquei mais uma camada nesse dedo porque senão teria uma pequena montanha de verniz, né? lol. Em jeito de conclusão, gostei muito deste verniz :) Comprei outro que usarei em breve. Entretanto, vou esperar que os preços desçam para comprar outros dois queridinhos que me conquistaram :p 

I think this polish is very fitting for the Under The Sea challenge because it screams water and sunny days to me :D I stamped the gorgeous image from DRK-D3 plate with Dashica White stamping polish. Gahh... I love it!!

Achei este verniz super adequado ao desafio "Debaixo do Mar" porque para mim grita mar e dias solarengos :D Carimbei com o verniz Dashica White a imagem fofíssima da placa DRK-D3. Gosto, gosto, gosto!

Kiko 839 Blu Ottanio & Lynnderella Magic Fairy Stars

Sometimes, I can be a very lucky girl regarding the friends I made online in the polish world :) Not only we share so much as well as some people really surprise me! Charlotte did it for my belated birthday! She sent me a small bottle of the limited edition Lynnderella Magic Fairy Stars! Only 100 bottles were made plus, it's my first Lyn! Lets take a look

Sou deveras sortuda no que toca aos amigos que fiz por este mundo de vernizes fora! :) Refiro-me não só aos momentos fantásticos que partilhamos, mas também às pequenas surpresas inesperadas. O post de hoje é dedicado a um verniz que a Charlotte ofereceu-me por ocasião do meu aniversário: Lynnderella Magic Fairy Stars. Não só existem apenas 100 exemplares do dito, como também é o meu primeiro Lyn! Vamos ver

I applied a coat in my tips over Kiko 839 Blu Ottanio. I just love the contrast between dark muted blue with purple and pink glitter *-* This Kiko belongs to the Quick Dry collection and I noticed last Sunday that Kiko stores already have the new polishes in display from the same collection, so this one wasn't available. The first coat is sheer, but the second one gives this lovely result. About Lynnderella Magic Fairy Stars, it has plenty going on... from the stars, to the moons and hex & square glitter, all in a transparent base. I found it to have plenty glitter, giving a nice nail coverage if that was my intention. 

Apliquei uma camada fina nas extremidades das unhas, sobre o verniz Kiko 839 Blu Ottanio. Sou fã incondicional do contraste entre azul escuro com toque de cinza com o glitter roxo e rosa *-* Este Kiko pertence à colecção Quick Dry, mas segundo apurei no Domingo, já não está disponível as lojas porque foi substituído pelas novas cores da mesma colecção. A primeira camada é muito aguada, mas a segunda resulta na beleza que vêm nas fotos :) Relativamente ao verniz Lynderella Magic Fairy Stars, há muita coisa a acontecer... desde as estrelas à lua, passando pelo glitter quadradinho e hexagonal, tudo numa base transparente. Tem bastante glitter, sufuciente para cobrir as unhas com uma camada se assim o entendesse.

I don't know if I'll ever get more Lyns in my life, but I sure achieved one of the Holy Grails of nail polish ;) There's some Lyns that I really love, but there's also other that are too confusing. Não sei se alguma vez terei mais vernizes da Lynnderella, mas posso dizer que pelo menos o Santo Graal de ter "unzinho" foi alcançado :p! Há alguns Lyns que aprecio imenso (excepto o preço!), mas outros que... são muito confusos. No caso deste Magic Fairy Stars, adoro-o!! Muito obrigada Charlotte! :D :D O que acharam? Têm algum Lyn? Sunday Stamping Challenge: Purple & Orange

Hola guapas! :)

This weeks AIS challenge theme is about a color combination that I never tried before... or even considered! But it turns out that it looks great! :) The theme is purple & orange colors. Well, I have plenty purples but... only two true (as in bright) oranges! Whattt??? Yep! So I had to be creative with what I have and hence this manicure was born :)

O tema desta semana é sobre uma combinação de cores que nunca experimentei antes... ou mesmo pensei em tal coisa! E realmente resulta bem! :) O tema é roxo com laranja. Bom, eu até tenho vários (muitos) roxos... mas só dois verdadeiros laranjas. A sério?? Sim! lol Então tive que ser criativa com o material que tinha à disposição ;)

I love it!! *_* I combined several purple shades with little orange dots (inside the flowers) plus the orange/peach background. This design is a stamping decal made from Dashica Infinity Nails 22 plate. I did it the day before and at first I was focused on a single purple flower with butterflies flying around it... But, this pattern is confusing and so it was only after I started painting in the plastic that I realised there were plenty more flowers lol :p. The background is two coats of Perfect Holographic H6 polish, the flower purple is the gorgeous Golden Rose Rich Color 32 and the rest are random purples of my stash. Oh the zoya in pictures is Zoya Audrina. If you remember, I showed Golden Rose 32 stamping this week in this post :)

Adorooo!! *_* Combinei vários tons de roxo com pequenas bolinhas laranja no centro das flores roxas, juntamente com uma base laranja/pêssego. Esta manicure foi feita com um adesivo/decalque de carimbo que preparei no dia anterior a partir da plaquinha Dashica Infinity Nails 22. Inicialmente, estava focada numa flor roxa com as pequenas borboletas a voarem em torno desta... mas assim que comecei a pintar sobre o plástico, apercebi-me das restantes flores lol :p Isto é prova de que mesmo frente a frente um desenho pode ser bem complexo (estou a tentar desculpar-me..). O verniz base é o Perfect Holographic H6 e o roxo lindão das flores é o Golden Rose Rich Colors 32 (carimbei com ele esta semana, lembram-se?). Os restantes roxos são vernizes aleatórios da minha colecção. Ah, o Zoya das fotos é o Audrina.

Again, I loooove it!! Hope you do too! :D On a side note, this was my first really sucessfull stamping decal... my trick was to keep wearing the same top coat at all stages (Color Club 0-30s). I bought a couple more plates and stamping polishes from Dashica recently and I must say I'm in love with the quality! You should give it a try ;) Tell me, have you ever combined purple & orange or never considered it like me? lool Kisses :)

Espero que vocês também! :D Uma nota à parte: este foi o meu primeiro adesivo de carimbo feito com real sucesso; o truque foi usar o mesmo top coat em todas as etapas do processo (neste caso o Color Club 0-60s). Comprei recentemente mais umas plaquinhas da Dashica e vernizes de carimbo (loja online e marca de plaquinhas Holandesa para quem não sabe) e realmente posso afirmar que a qualidade de ambos é muito boa! Recomendo ;) Contem-me coisas, já alguma vez combinaram roxo com laranja ou, tal como eu, jamais pensaram em tal coisa? lool Beijinhos :)

Golden Rose Rich Color 47 & 32

Olá meninas! :)

Today I want to share with you a simple manicure I did a couple of week ago, when I received some Golden Rose Rich Color polishes. I bought them in this Bulgarian website and as far as I know, they ship internationally. The distintive aspect of this manicure is the polishes that make it, they're wonderfull!

Hoje vou partilhar convosco uma manicure simples que fiz há umas duas semanas quando recebi os vernizes da Golden Rose Rich Color. Comprei-os neste site búlgaro ;) Não tem muita ciência... aliás, o espectacular são os vernizes espectaculares que a compõem!

I say wonderfull because both have such a great quality! Formula, brush, shine, drying time... everything is to die for! Its too bad that the Golden Rose Rich Color isn't available in Portugal though. Golden Rose Rich Color 47 is the base color and has a sweet pastel lilac shade that I consider too cute. Nº 32 is a metallic purple that I fell in love with in Adri's swatch. As soon as I got it I realised it stamps and hence this manicure was born. The flowers image belongs to DRK-C plate.

Digo espectaculares porque a qualidade é excelente! Uma vez mais, não esperava isto da Golden Rose dado os que já tive em casa... O brilho, o pincel, a cobertura, a formula... perfeitas! Pena que não se vende em Pt! O Golden Rose Rich Color 47 tem um tom lilás pastel que gosto muito e acho fofo. O Nº 32 é um roxo metálico que apaixonei-me quando o vi no blog da Adri. Assim que percebi que o dito é super pigmentado e carimba bem, decidi criar esta manicure ;) O desenho de flores pertence à plaquinha DRK-C.

This my way of saying "Spring, please arrive!" ;) I very much loved the simplicity of this manicure and the colors are great! You should try them! :) Do you already own a polish from the Golden Rose Rich Color line? What do you think? Kisses,

Tri Geek Challenge: Pacman

Hello loves :)

Today is the third challenge of the Tri Geek challenge, on the Videogames theme. I'm a bit late publishing this post because I did the night shift today. The theme is pacman... did you play it? Have you seen Helena's and Xiito's nail art yet?? :)

Hoje é o terceiro desafio do tema Videogames do Tri Geek Challenge! Estou a publicar este post já um bocado atrasada porque fiz hoje o turno da noite. O tema é o Pacman... vocês jogavam? Já viram as nail arts da Helena e da Xiito?? :)

I think of pacman and labyrinths when pacman videogame comes to mind, so this is what I recreated. My friends thought the same too :) I had to freehand pacman and the dummies, they're so adorable! As for the labyrinths, there's this image desing in MoYou Suki 06 plate that always made me think of pacman so I took the shot. I stamped it with the blue Esmaltes M Vesúvio Fosco polish and placed yellow dots with acrylic paint. I used the same paint to crate the sweet pacman in my middle finger. The blue is also acrylic paint and the pink dummie was made with Zoya Shelby. As for the black base, I picked Purple Professional 18 Black'It because it gives me a nice background in two easy layers.

Quando penso no Pacman penso sempre na personagem e em labirintos. Foi isto que tentei recriar na manicure. As minhas amigas pensaram o mesmo que eu ;) Tinha que desenhar o pacman e os bonecos, são tãooo adoráveis *-* Mas o labirinto em si, já tinha planeado o que seria há muito. Aliás, esta imagem da placa MoYou Suki 06 sempre me fez pensar no Pacman, portanto não hesitei em usá-la agora! Carimbei com o verniz Esmaltes M Vesúvio Fosco e coloquei bolinhas amarelas com tinta acrílica. Usei a mesma tinta para pintar o bonceo pacman e tinta azul para um dos bonecos. O outro boneco rosa foi feito com o verniz Zoya Shelby. Quanto à base, escolhi o verniz Purple Professional 18 Black'It porque proporcionou-me os alicerces da manicure com duas simples camadas.

So, what do you think? I loved it! I think I should only had freehand the labyrinths to make the overall look more real :p Next month we have a new theme in the Tri Geek Challenge... who wants to make any guesses? lol Kisses and see you soon,
