Sunday Stamping Challenge: Plate ending in 2

Hello loves :)

It's so hot in here!! I wonder how can people think or even paint nails in this weather! I miss my island weather... Anyhow, I managed to do today's challenge manicure last night and the theme is a plate ending in two.

Que calor infernal pessoas!!! Não consigo perceber como se sobrevive a estas temperaturas (ventoinhas?) ou mesmo pintar as unhas; só sei que tenho saudades da minha rica ilha... Mas adiante, hoje o tema do desafio semanal do grupo AIS é uma placa que termine no número 2. 

I chose to play with MoYou London Pro 12 plate as well as Dashica White and Mundo de Uñas Pink (barely noticeable) stamping polishes. This is a normal & quick manicure because yeah... the weather kills me. My base is two coats of Two One One Two Poppy Red, an Hypoallergenic brand from Brazil. It was a gift from my lovely Gabi :)) Poppy Red has a jelly yet thick formula with an amazing shine :)

Já que eu não sei viver com este calor, fiz esta manicure ontem à noite (madrugada cof cof) e de forma muito simples lol. Escolhi a placa MoYou London Pro 12 para brincar e carimbei com os vernizes Dashica White e Mundo de Uñas Pink (mal se nota eu sei). O base vermelha são duas camadas do verniz Two One One Two Poppy Red. Esta é uma marca hipoalergénica brasileira que me foi presenteada pela querida Gabi! :D Graciasss! O Poppy Red tem uma formula jelly, curiosamente espessa (não escorre para as cutículas) e tem um brilho maravilhoso :)

Yes Love 346 & Reversed Leadlight Nail Art

I'm sure you have noticed so many types of stamping nail art out there. Well, there is one I never tried and it was named many different things including coloring and anti-leadlight. The first time I saw reversed leadlight was in Enamel and Serene's blogs and I knew I was going to to the same! lool

Estão vivos gentes de Lisboa?? lool Este ano não fui aos santos, mas descobri que os meus gatos lambem-se por um bom naco de sardinha assada! LOL Certamente que já ouviram e viram diversas técnicas de carimbos internet fora. A que vos mostro hoje já teve muitos nomes, incluindo anti-leadlight e colorir. A primeira vez que vi a técnica reversed leadlight stamping foi no blog da Enamel e Serene. Desde logo percebi que também ia brincar com a dita num futuro próximo! lool

Enamel has a video tutorial demonstrating the technique if you want to check it out. The idea is to use paint your nails black, then stamp in white and finally add jelly colors on top as you wish :) The name reversed leadlight technique is the opposite of the leadlight thecnique because the first uses a dark base while the last a white one. Lucky me I had just purchased MoYou Explorer 03 and went to play with it :D My black base is two coats of Yes Love 346. After stamping with Dashica White, I used jelly colors that I made out of creme normal ones (using top coat plus the original polish).

O principal motivo porque não faço videos com tutoriais é simplesmente porque há sempre alguém que os fez e bem (admito que nem sempre em Português). Como tal, a Enamel fez aqui um video a demonstrar a técnica. A ideia é pintar uma base preta, carimbar em branco e depois colorir com vernizes jelly à vontade do freguês. O nome reversed leadlight stamping é o oposto da técnica leadlight stamping; na primeira usa-se uma base preta e na última uma base branca. O preto que usei foi o Yes Love 346, carimbado com a imagem da minha recém comprada placa MoYou Explorer 03. Os vernizes jelly que usei foram feitos a partir de vernizes normais (adicionando top coat/extra-brilho). 

I am AMAZED at the outcome! *_* So vibrant and happy! This is a faster technique than stamping decals but it all depends on what you're looking for  :) I surely will play with this technique again :) Will you too? Kisses,

Na verdade, tudo se resume ao look final que desejam ver nas unhas, mas esta nail art é mais rápida que os stamping decals/adesivos de carimbo :) Sem dúvida que me aventurar novamente, afinal de contas, adoro carimbar! :p E vocês, gostaram da técnica? Dance Legend River of Time

Hello gorgeous! :)

Quick post today. This is a nail art that I used a couple os weeks ago (my nails were smaller hehe) with the beautiful Dance Legend River of Time that I purchased over at Hypnotic Polish.

Hoje temos um post rápido (vou tentar). Usei esta nail art com o verniz Dance Legend River of Time há umas semanas atrás (até as unhas estavam menores hehe). Comprei-o na loja Hypnotic Polish.

I remember the weather was cold and cloudy and it felt so good to wear this beautiful Dance Legend! :) It belongs to the Smoky collection and they all feature this black microglitter. Dance Legend River of Time did not disappoint me in any aspect of its quality: fantastic! Also, it dries to a smooth shiny finish that is unexpected given the microglitter. Loved it and I want the entire collection lol.

Lembro-me perfeitamente que usei este belo Dance Legend de tom azul entristecido naquela semana chuvosa de Maio. Há vernizes que sabem mesmo bem usar nessas alturas (é favor não julgar :p). A qualidade é soberba, não há melhor forma de dizer isto. É óptima em tudo, inclusive o verniz seca com textura suave e brilhante - nada o fazia esperar devido ao microglitter preto. O microglitter preto é a característica que define a colecção Smoky e bom, quero todos! lol

The day after I stamped it with Pueen 18 plate. Really loved the outcome! *.* Hope you did as well :) I?m aware that Dance Legend is an expensive brand, but hey, not a single one has ever disappointed me :) Kisses,

Mollon Pro 186 Neomagic

Hola guapas! :)

Today I bring you one of the newest 2014 Spring colors by Mollon Pro :) You can also check 178 Hypnose, 188 Delicious and 193 Sparkle, from the same collection. This one is Mollon Pro Neomagic.

Hoje mostro-vos outra das novas cores de Primavera 2014 da Mollon :) É o Mollon Pro 186 Neomagic. Podem ver também os vernizes 178 Hypnose, 188 Delicious e 193 Sparkle, da mesma colecção.

Neomagic has a light peach/salmon color. It is less pigmented than the previous polishes from the same collection. But what it lacks in pigmentation, it gets in shimmer. It has a very discreet pink and golden shimmer; very delicate and only visible under strong lights, giving Neomagic a lovely depth. I applied three coats to achieve full nails coverage. On my ring finger I stamped the chevron design from Cult Nails plate and finished by adding a silver stud in the middle nail.

O verniz Neomagic tem um tom pêssego/salmão claro. É menos pigmentado que os seus irmãos, mas o que lhe falta neste quesito, ganha em shimmer! Este é bem delicado e somente evidenciado sob luzes directas. O shimmer é dourado e rosa, atribuindo profundidade ao Mollon Pro Neomagic. Apliquei três camadas para cobrir as unhas. No anelar carimbei o padrão chevron da placa Cult Nails e terminei adicionando um stud prata no dedo do meio :)

Sunday Stamping Challenge: Positive & Negative Nails

Hola guapas! :)

For today's AIS challenge theme we had a tie and I'm picking Positive & Negative nails theme :p Why? For no particular reason except that I think this one is more challenging. What crosses your mind with Positive & Negative nails?

O tema de hoje do desafio do grupo AIS resulta de um empate (coisa rara hehe!). Optei pelo tema Positivo & Negativo porque parecia-me o mais desafiante. O que é que vos cruza a mente quando pensam em unhas Positivas & Negativas?

Right, I also had no clue hahaha. But, after some consideration I interpreted the theme as opposing stamping designs as well as opposing colors. Hence, flipping through my plates the turtle patterns from plate BM 313 standed out ;p For the base, I went with black & white because what else is more opposing? :) Index and pinky have the full turtle design while middle nails have the simple lines. Base colors were Cliché Branco (white) and Yes Love 346 (black). Stamping colors are Dashica Black and White.

Pois, também não me ocorreu nada lol. Mas, após alguma consideração, interpretei o tema como sendo desenhos de carimbo opostos bem como cores opostas. Portanto, seleccionei os padrões de tartaruga da placa BM 313 e para a base, há cores mais opostas que preto e branco? ;) Comcei por pintar as unhas com os vernizes Cliché Branco e Yes Love 346. No dedo indicador e mindinho carimbei o padrão mais cheio e preenchido ao passo que nas unhas do meio o padrão tartaruga é o que tem as linhas simples. Os vernizes de carimbo foram o Dashica White e Black.
