Catherine 548 Review

Hey guys! :)

In the last In Beauty I received the Catherine 548 polish to review and share my thoughts of. This is a limited edition color and is the exact same color as the Catherine brand (I compared haha). It was the first polish I ever tried from this brand, and hence I was super curious about it. 

Na última In Beauty, recebi o verniz Catherine 548 para rever e partilhar a minha opinião sobre o mesmo. Trata-se de um verniz de edição limitada cuja cor é exactamente igual à cor vermelha já tão conhecida da marca Catherine (e sim, eu comparei hehe). É o primeiro verniz que testo e confesso, estava mesmo muito curiosa com a formula!

I love the red color because it's deep and has and orange undertone - super sexy I must say! Catherine 548 (11ml) has a jelly finish and medium pigmentation, covering nails in two/three coats. I noticed the formula dried fast and has such a great glossy shine! The bottle is different from the ones I own andst looks very nice; it has a round "body" with a golden, chic cap. The brush is flat and just like I love. 

O verniz Catherine 548 (11ml) tem um tom vermelho vibrante porque tem um subtom laranja interessante. É bastante bonito e sexy! :) O acabamento é jelly e cobre as unhas com duas/três camadas. Apliquei três porque não gosto de ver a extremidade branca da unha. O brilho é espectacular e seca rápido. O frasco também é bonito e sexy (só estou a ver coisas sexys hoje ehehe); tem um corpo de vidro redondo e uma tampa dourada muito chic! já o pincel é achatado como eu gosto e facilita a aplicação.

Red & black always look super nice together, right? I agree! :) I started the following nail art by doing a gradient featuring Catherine 548 and the black Kiko 275 using a make up sponge. Then, I stamped the beautiful detailed image from EDM05 stamping plate with Barry M Gold Foil Effects. I looooove this!!

Porque preto e vermelho são cores que resultam sempre bem, decidi fazer uma nail art nestes tons. Comecei por fazer um gradiente com os vernizes Catherine 548 e Kiko 275 (preto), com uma esponja de maquilhagem. Depois, carimbei um padrão bastante detalhado da placa EDM05 com o verniz de carimbo dourado Barry M Gold Foil Effects. Adoreeeeeei!!

Mollon Pro 221 Silver Shimmer Review

Today I bring you one more polish from the Autumn Trends 2015 collection by Mollon Pro. It is the single silver of the collection and is called Mollon Pro 221 Silver Shimmer. 

Trago-vos hoje mais um verniz da colecção Outonal da Mollon Pro. É o único verniz prata da mesma e chama-se Mollon Pro 221 Silver Shimmer.

Mollon Pro Silver Shimmer is a silver polish with foil finish. I personally only like this finish in Fall/Winter seasons. It has a medium pigmentation and covers nails with two coats. It also dries fast, but dries with noticeable brush strokes that I don't appreciate.

O verniz Mollon Pro Silver Shimmer é prata com acabamento foil. Confesso que só sou fã deste acabamento no Outono/Inverno eh eh. Este tem uma pigmentação média e cobre as unhas com duas camadas. Seca rápido, mas ficam marcas do pincel que não sou fã.

In the following nail art I mattified Mollon Pro 221 Silver Shimmer after stamping with MoYou Kaleidoscopic 09 plate, with Mollon Pro Top Coat Matt - it looks super gorgeous! in the ring finger I applied two coats of ILNP Top Down and finished with Kiko 275 in the pinky finger. I loved this mix n' match nails :D

Depois de carimbar verniz Silver Shimmer com a imagem da placa MoYou Kaleidoscopic 09 matifiquei com o top coat Mollon Pro Matt - fica tão bonito! Basicamente desaparece o acabamento iridescente e também as marcas de pincel :) No anelar apliquei duas camadas do verniz holográfico ILNP Top Down e duas do Kiko 275 no mindinho. Gostei bastante desta nail art mix n' match! :D

GL Nails Merli Gel Polish Review

GL Nails recently released the Hollywood gel polish collection. This is a regular type of soak off collection composed of five gel polish colors with a very Fall vibe to them. Instead of showing them all in a single post like I did the previous collection, I'm going to feature them individually and today we start with GL Nails Merli.

A GL Nails lançou recentemente uma nova colecção de gel verniz chamada Hollywood composta por cinco cores. É uma colecção de verniz gel do tipo soak off com uma vibe Outonal. Decidi mostrar cada cor individualmente em vez de fazer uma publicação com as cinco (como na colecção anterior). Vamos começar pelo verniz gel GL Nails Merli.

As a regular soak off polish, it needs a base and a top coat. I used GL Nails NutriOne and GL Nails One, respectively. GL Nails Merli had a beautiful, deep red color. This is the most pigmented polish of the collection in my opinion. I applied two lovely coats and cured each one for one minute in LED lamp (2 min for UV lamp). Now that I'm combining both base and top coat from the same brand, I really notice the difference from my previous swatches in terms of shine and durability. Hence, I super recommend this combination :)

Tratando-de de um gel verniz soak off, tem de ser combinado com base e top coat. Neste caso, usei os da marca - GL Nails NutriOne e GL Nails One, respectivamente. Este verniz gel GL Nails Merli tem um tom vermelho profundo, mesmo bonito! É um dos mais pigmentados da colecção, sendo que cobre as unhas com duas camadas. Cada camada foi curada durante 1 min na lâmpada LED (ou 2min na lâmpada UV). É muito fácil de aplicar e o brilho, ohhh... lindo! Noto realmente diferença entre usar a base e top coat da marca tanto em termos de durabilidade, como de brilho :)

Merli is one of my favorite polishes of the collection, so I didn't have it in me to "hide" it with nail art but still wanted... something else. In the ring finger I stamped the lacey design from Vivid Lacquer VL 028 with MdU Black stamping polishes and sealed with two coats of GL Nails One top coat. On the middle finger I attached a cute bow I got at In Beauty 15; it was sealed with the same top coat, but more tiny coats under the bow so as not to be visible and make my nail huge hehe. I know you're wondering if it doesn't come off while touching your hair and such... it doesn't, it's secure.

O verniz gel Merli é um dos meus favoritos da colecção, de modo que não queria propriamente escondê-lo sob nail art. No anelar carimbei a imagem de renda da placa Vivid Lacquer VL 028 com o verniz de carimbo MdU Black; selei com duas camadas do top coat GL Nails One. No dedo médio coloquei um laço que adquiri na In Beauty 15. Selei primeiro com uma camada em toda a unha do top coat da GL Nails, sendo que depois selei só o laço com pinceladas debaixo no mesmo para não fazer ficar "com a unha gordinha". O laço ficou bem seguro e não caiu, mesmo depois de lavar loiça, mexer no cabelo etc.

Uber Chic XL Medium Firm & Non - Sticky Stamper & Stamping Replacements Review

Uber Chic released some great news a few weeks ago! They are now selling several types of stampers for all your tastes and experience :) I picked the XL medium firm + NON-sticky Stamper and I have my review to share with you! A Uber Chic lançou há algumas semanas atrás uma grande novidade! A marca está agora a vender vários tipos de carimbo para todo o tipo de gostos e experiências ;) No meu caso, escolhi o carimbo Uber Chic UC de firmeza média e não pegajoso. Vejam este link para perceberes qual o carimbo que mais gostam.

The metallic tin box comes with two XL medium firm + non-sticky stamping heads, a plastic scraper and a XL holder. This metallic tin is a limited edition and I see that it has sold out. However, the set is still avilable with the same contens. The lid of the box is engraved with the brand name/logo and description of the type of stamper inside. It's rather elegant and I love that I have a place to put my Uber Chic stamper in a fitting plastic case inside the box :)  I am a girl after all, and I do appreciate to see care and attention in things I get :)

A caixinha vem com duas borrachas de carimbo XL de firmeza média e não pegajosos, um suporte de carimbo eu um raspador de plástico. A tampa metálica está gravada com o nome/logo da Uber Chic e o tipo de carimbo. Achei a caixinha metálica deveras elegante, gostei da personalização e também do facto de ter um plástico dentro adequado para arrumar o carimbo :) Aprecio imenso ver atenção e cuidado nos produtos que recebo! Contudo, o conjunto com a caixinha era edição limitada e verifico que já esgotou, mas todo o conjunto continua disponível.

A lot of brands have come out with their own plastic scrapers (credit card size), but they're all smooth. Uber Chic took it a notch higher and produced a plastic scraper with texture. It helps to have a firm holding of the scraper whilst scraping as well as it's quite pretty! The thickness is similar to a credit card.

Muitas marcaram lançaram os seus respectivos raspadores de plástico do tamanho de um cartão de crédito, uns mais bonitos que outros, mas todos lisos. A Uber Chic por sua vez lançou este cartão com gravação do logo da marca, mas com textura!! Além de ser super giro, a textura permite também agarrar melhor o raspador enquanto se raspa a placa de carimbo.

The XL holder is made of a silver metal and also has the brand name/logo engraved in the bottom. I like my things personalized ;) If you're wondering, this holder is bigger than the creative shop one and the same size as the BPS holder. Uber Chic metallic holders now have a black matte finish and I am so jealous! haha

O suporte de carimbo é feito de metal e também tem gravado no fundo o logo/marca Uber Chic. Gostei mesmo muito desta personalização! ;) Por curiosidade, comparei este "copinho" com os "copinhos" da Born Pretty Sore e Creative Chic. O carimbo da Uber Chic é maior que o da Creative shop, e do mesmo tamanho que o da BPS. Estes suportes da Uber Chic agora têm um acabamento mate super sexy e confesso, estou invejosa hehe!

Now, on to the stamping heads! :) I wish I could show you images of the white head... but unfortunately, I wasn't paying attention for a moment to a friends child and he thought the stamper head was a gummy bear... yep, my bad!! Anyway, I really loved it as well as the black stamping head. Both have the firmness I LOVE to stamp with - you know my favorite stamper is firm, not too marshmallow or squishy. But I also favor some squishiness in my  stampers, which the Uber Chic XL medium firm has! Yay!! *-* I was in love the moment I touched them hahaha. In terms of prepping, I only washed the heads with dish soap to remove the oils and they stamped quite well right away! 

Vamos agora falar das borrachas de carimbo! :) Gostava de vos poder mostrar fotografias da borracha branca... mas o filho de um amigo esteve cá em casa e num momento de distracção, ele achou que era uma goma! Pois... está destruída. De qualquer forma, adorei ambas as borrachas de carimbo XL de firmeza média, tanto a branca como a preta! :D Ambas têm aquela firmeza que tanto gosto, não são molinhas (nem marshmallow!) - são firmes o suficiente para serem flexíveis. Fiquei apaixonada assim que toquei nas borrachas - são mesmo a minha praia eh eh! *-* As borrachas tinham alguns restos de óleo, por isso lavei-as com detergente de loiça e sequei com papel absorvente; não foi preciso fazer mais nenhum preparo porque elas carimbaram logo muito bem.

Brittany also sent me two replacement XL medium firm + non-sticky stamping heads, in turquoise and nude pink - they're sooo adorable!! I'm loving these refreshing pastel colors but of course, everything gets down to how do they stamp? Well... great!! haha I did the same prepping with dish soap, cleaned with a paper towel and stamped right away! They're as firm, squishy and sticky as the black & white head.

A Brittany enviou-me duas borrachas de carimbo extra, também XL com firmeza média e não pegajosas, nas cores turquesa e rosa/nude. São lindas!! *-* Gosto destas cores pasteis que são refrescantes comparando com o que já existe no mercado. Mas claro, tudo resume-se a: carimbam bem?? A resposta é: sim!! *-* Carimbam tão bem quanto as borrachas originais branco e preto. Aliás, são idênticos em termos de carimbar, firmeza, moleza e "peganhentos". Também fiz o mesmo tratamento com sabão de loiça e água para limpar resíduos de óleos.

Since I have a single XL holder, I stamped individually with each colored head and then removed it and placed it on secretary. Because it's a large stamping head, with a slight round silicone head, it that turns flat when placed over a surface: so, it's normal that the design shrinks (actually, this is a trick to shrink large images haha) when the head is removed from the holder. In my tests you'll notice that the designs are smaller than in the stamping plate and also aren't straight (that's again, because of the roundness of the stamping head). For the tests I picked the image from Uber Chic UC 5-01 stamping plate and stamped with Mundo de Uñas White, Black and Dashica Purple polishes. The best way to pick up the design is with the rolling motion. To place the design on your nail, you can press or roll; I prefer to roll (that is my favorite method) but if you don't have a curved nail bed, then you can press.

Como só tenho um "copinho"  para carimbar, tive de testar cada borracha de carimbo individualmente. Notem que a borracha de silicone fica ligeiramente oval, i.e, faz uma curva na superfície quando está dentro do copo e fica plana quando pousada na secretária/superfície. Então, quando se retira a borracha do copo o desenho encolhe e pode não ficar recto (esta até é a técnica de encolher desenhos hehe); foi exactamente isto que sucedeu nos meus testes. Para os mesmos usei os vernizes de carimbo Dashica Purple, MDU Black e White e o padrão geométrico da placa UC 5-01. A melhor forma de apanhar o desenho da placa é com o movimento de "rolar" em vez de pressionar. Já para transferir o desenho para a unha podem fazer o que mais gostam: eu prefiro rolar o carimbo na unha mas podem também pressionar se não têm unhas muito curvas.

To prove that these stamping heads stamp exactly the same, I did a manicure with each nail stamped with each stamping head :p My base is two coats of Golden Rose Rich Color 108 and two coats of Top Beauty Neverland. Sparkly, lovely combination! <3 I used the detailed image from Uber Chic UC 5-01 and stamped with MdU White :)

Para mostrar-vos como estas borrachas de carimbo XL firmes carimbam de igual modo, fiz uma manicure onde usei cada carimbo numa unha diferente. O resultado é idêntico! :) Apliquei duas camadas do verniz Golden Rose Rich Color 108, outras duas camadas do Top Beauty Neverland e carimbei o desenho da placa UC 5-01 com o MdU White :D
