Hello gorgeous! :)

Happy Valentine's day, either you celebrate it or not! :) Funny enough, today is also my boyfriend's birthday :p But in the morning we had an issue involving water leaking from our WC through the walls to our neighbor's house below. Hence our plans were postponed until it was solved. Way to start the day!

Feliz dia dos namorados, quer celebrem ou não! :) Curiosamente, hoje é também o aniversário do meu namorado :p Mas esta manhã tivemos um problema com a canalização no WC... estava a passar água para o tecto do vizinho de baixo. Claro que os planos ficaram para depois de resolvermos o problema, mas de qualquer forma, que forma de começar o dia!

For my V-day nail art, I chose to wear by Dany Vianna Moondust twice this week! That is how much I am loving this lovely silver & holographic indie polish glitter <3 Moondust is very elegant and brings enought glitter in the brush. I dabbed a little near the cuticles as in a gradient over China Glaze Spring In My Step. For the stamping, I chose a heart pattern that looks like a curtain and I love it for that! It belongs to MoYou Landscape 01 and stamped with MASH Pinkberry.

Para a nail art do dia de S. Valentim escolhi usar o verniz by Dany Vianna Moondust - aliás, é a segunda vez que o uso numa semana! Gosto taaanto!! *-* O verniz Moondust é bastante elegante e delicado. Trata-se de um glitter prata e holográfico numa base transparente. Pode ser usado sobre qualquer cor. Apliquei um pouco junto às cutículas para fazer uma espécie de gradiente sobre o verniz rosa China Glaze Spring In My Step. O padrão de coração que escolhi lembra-me uma cortina e pertence à placa MoYou Landscape 01. Carimbei com o verniz MASH Pinkberry.

I suppose this is another very simple Valentine's Day nail art hehe. Truth be told, I haven't been inspired lately, but sometimes, simple is the better :) Hope you liked it as much as me and enjoy your day and weekend! Kisses,

Astra 102 & Striping Valentine's Day Nail Art

Hello sweeties! :)

End of the week, phew! :) I was so busy the last couple days that I was unable to share some more Valentine's Day manicures with you. Hence, today is dedicated to a manicure I just took off.

Finalmente fim da semana, ufa! :) Estive tão ocupada nos últimos dias que basicamente cheguei a casa e fui logo dormir, de modo que não tive tempo de partilhar convosco algumas manicures inspiradas no dia de S. Valentim. Nesse sentido, hoje trago-vos a nail art que acabei agora de remover.

All polishes used in this nail art have already shown up here in the blog with the exception of Astra 102 (Gold Animalier?). I bought it last a month in an impulse and was not disappointed! I quite like this nude, two coat polish. The formula has some bald spots in the first coat, but it's flawless in the second :) In the middle finger I applied Zoya Shelby and China Glaze Ruby Pumps in the index finger. I used both nail polishes as well as OPI Love Angel Music Baby to freehand horizontal stripes with my Winstonia striping brush over Astra 102. Then I used a dotting tool to create the heart and top coated everything with Seche Vite *-*

Todos os vernizes usados nesta manicure já passaram aqui pelo blog com excepção do verniz Astra 102 (Gold Animalier? Ou será este o nome da colecção?). Comprei-o no mês passado por impulso junto ao metro dos Anjos em Lisboa (escapa-me de momento o nome da loja). Fiquei agradavelmente surpreendida com a formula porque o único Astra que tenho além deste é holográfico. Na primeira camada ficam alguns pontos carecas, no entanto com a segunda camada fica tudo perfeito :) Apliquei também os vernizes China Glaze Ruby Pumps e Zoya Shelby nos dedos indicador e médio, respectivamente. Pintei linhas horizontais nos restantes dedos com um pincel de cerdas longas da Winstonia utilizando os vernizes mencionados, incluíndo também o dourado OPI Angel Music Baby. Por fim, desenhei um coração com um boleador e terminei com top coat Seche Vite *-*

Hearts on Fire Nail Art

Hello gorgeous! :)

Today we leave classic & girly Valentine's Day nail art manicures behind and focus on a more, even anti-valentine if you will, nail art. The "hearts on fire nail art" was an idea from dear Laurie and we're all doing it in an FB group. So, I'm here to share my attempt hehe.

Hoje trago-vos uma nail art longe do que se considera clássico e delicado para o dia dos namorados. Aliás, pode até ser considerada uma nail art anti-dia dos namorados se assim o entenderem. Inspirei-me no tema "Corações a Arder" proposto pela Laurie num grupo de FB. Eis a minha interpretação

Can you understand what is behind the hearts? I think that is where it all went down and I'm yet not sure if I'd call this a nail fail :p You see, I was going to make a fire and then stamp the hearts... but I really, really need to purchase jelly polishes since I used the reverse leadlight technique... and used more colors than I should have. Nevertheless, the base is Cliché Gótico and the hearts belong to a tree image from DRK-XL Designer 1. The stamping colors are Mundo de Uñas Orange and Yellow. Also, my index and middle fingers look blurred... I don't know what happened. The bits & pieces near the tips are made on purpose to pass the idea that the hearts are really on fire ;)

Conseguem perceber o que está por trás dos corações? Foi aqui que as coisas começaram a correr mal e por isso estou indecisa se considero esta uma nail art falhada hehe. Usei mais cores do que devia na fogueira, sendo que claramente preciso comprar vernizes jelly decentes para usar na técnica leadlight stamping. O verniz preto da base é o Cliché Gótico. Carimbei os corações de uma imagem de árvore da placa DRK XL Designer 1 com os vernizes Mundo de Uñas Yellow e Orange. O carimbo nos dedos indicador e médio ficaram algo desfocados... não sei bem o que aconteceu. Os pedacinhos nas pontas das unhas foram feitos de propósito com o intuito de transmitir a idea de corações a queimar na fogueira.

What do you think? Would you call it a nail fail or a nice attempt at Hearts on Fire? Be honest hehe. In the meantime, I have seen great ideas done by some friends, hence I hope to do better in the future. Kisses,

Colors by Llarowe The Mighty Red Baron & Heartbeat Nail Art

Hello loves! :)

Hope you had a nice start of the week :) Today I bring you a Valentine's Day nail art... this close to *the day* you will see a couple more around here hehe. I did heartbeat nails.

Espero que tenham tido um óptimo início de semana :) Hoje trago-vos uma nail art adequada ao dia dos namorados... até porque com a proximidade do *dia*, vamos ter mais nail arts com este tema por aqui.

The gorgeous red holographic base is Colors by Llarowe Red Baron. I already used it before... but had to use again, and its so easy to understand why! I applied two coats, although one is enought to some people. The formula is to dye for... I want more CbL's!! For the heartbeat nails I did a heart stamping decal from Lesly LS-13 plate and stamped the heartbeat pattern also from the same plate.

O verniz vermelho holográfico deslumbrante é o Colors by Llarowe The Mighty Red Baron. Já o tinha usado antes... mas não resisti a usar outra vez... é muito fácil de perceber o porquê *-*. Apliquei duas camadas, no entanto de certeza que basta uma para algumas pessoas. A formula revelou ser excelente... quero mais CbL's na minha vida! Relativamente à nail art, fiz um adesivo de carimbo com o coração da placa Lesly LS-13 e carimbei também o batimento cardíaco da mesma.

These nails lasted 4 days in my nails... I loved the simplicity and the idea, hence I was sad to let them go. Do You own this fabolous red holographic polish?? I purchased it as Hypnotic Polish :) Kisses,

Purple Professional 121 Bridal Veil Review & Valentine's Day Nail Art

Today I bring you my first Valentine's day nail art as well as Purple Professional Bridal Veil nail polish review. Bridal Veil is part of the Royal Winter Ball Winter collection from which I have previously reviewed Purple Professional Royal Highness.

Hoje é dia de estrear uma nail art romântica adequada aos dia dos namorados por estes lados para inaugurar a data festiva! :p Aproveito também para rever o verniz Purple Professional Bridal Veil da colecção Royal Winter Ball de Inverno da marca. Anteriormente revi o verniz Purple Professional Royal Highness da mesma colecção.

This is a white polish with frost finish. I applied three coats to achieve full nail coverage. It dries with streaks due to the finish and the formula is a little thick, but manageable. I'm really not fond of either the color and finish, but I know some people do :) However, I noticed that applying top coat will take the streaks away and that made me fall in love with Bridal Veil.

Trata-se portanto de um verniz branco com acabamento frost. Apliquei três camadas para obter cobertura da unha. A formula é algo espessa, mas manuseável, e seca com estrias ao longo da unha devido ao acabamento. Não gostei especialmente deste verniz, contudo sei que há quem goste :) O que posso dizer é que apaixonei-me pela versão matte uma vez que nesta as estrias são eliminadas e o verniz fica mais suave. :)

I took out all my romantic/valentine's day appropriate nail art stuff out hehe. This was the first nail art that came to mind :) In the middle nails I stamped the romantic letter pattern from BM-311 plate and freehanded the letter with acrylic paint. In the other nails, I then stamped the hearts images from BM-317 plate with Dashica Purple and Dashica Lilac.

Tirei cá para fora todo o meu material de nail art minimamente relcionado com o dia dos namorados. Estamos a uma semana do dia e estou algo pouco inspirada hehe. Mas esta foi a primeira ideia que tive :) Comecei por carimbar as unhas do meio com o padrão de letras de amor da placa BM-311 e desenhei a carta com tinta acrílica. De seguida carimbei as restantes unhas com as imagens de corações das placas BM-317, utilizando para tal os vernizes Dashica Purple e Lilac para carimbar.
