China Glaze Luxe and Lush

Good morning everyone! :)

Today i have a polish to show you that i received in a swap with sweet Charity :). Luxe and Lush belongs to the Hunger Games Collection from China Glaze and it represents district two, where all jewellery and gemstones are lol. When the movies were released i did a manicure with Harvest Moon, which represents district nine. No, i still haven't finished book three... there's no time in my life for books until the end of exams (buahh!!). 

Hoje tenho um verniz para partilhar convosco que recebi numa troca com a maravilhosa Charitty :). Luxe and Lush pertence à colecção The Hunger Games da China Glaze e representa o distrito 2 da história - onde estão todas as jóias , pedras preciosas e afins relacionados. Quando saiu o filme, eu fiz uma manicure com o Harvest Moon, que representa o distrito quatro. Não, ainda não acabei de ler o último livro... não há tempo na minha vida para livros até ao fim dos exames (buahh!!).

Luxe and Lush is... cute and weird! lol! It's weird because theoretically it consists of flakies and they look like it. But, the flakies are quite big (weird) and to the touch and removal they look like glitter (even weirder!).Well, what matters to me is that i like it lol. Luxe and Lush is a clear base filled with flakies that change colour according to light and base polish. Therefore, i decided to layer him over black and over green.

Luxe and Lush é... estranho e bonito! lol! Estranho porque teoricamente são flakies/flocos que o constituem, sendo essa a sua aparência. No entanto, são flakies gigantes (estranho!) e ao toque e retirar do verniz têm a consistência de um glitter (ainda mais estranho!). Bom, o que me interessa é que gosto dele lol. Tem uma base transparente e os flakies transmitem várias cores conforme a luz, nomeadamente rosa, azul, verde, laranja, etc, que também dependem do verniz base. Assim sendo, decidi experimentá-lo com preto e verde como base.

Over black, the predominant colours are yellow, orange and green. These pictures where taken in a rainy day, so i'm not sure how it would look under the sun. Ohh and my ring nail was in recovering time... lol.

Com preto distingue-se o amarelo, laranja e verde. Estas fotos foram num dia chuvoso, não fiquei com noção de como será ao sol. Ahhh e ainda tinha a unha do anelar em fase de recuperação... lol.

With green, yes green, the predominant colours are orange, green and translucent (i know it's not a colour lol but it is what looks like). The green polish is a new summer line from a portuguese polish line called Andreia that did this small version (pocket) of the bigger one; it's Andreia Nº121. Well, unfortunately, my camera simply can't capture the green tone and only sees blue no matter what i do grrr!

Com verde, sim, verde, destaca-se mais o laranja, verde e translúcido (que eu sei que não é cor lol) mas é o que parece). O verniz base é o Andreia pocket (nova linha, com menos quantidade e preço mais acessível - o meu foi 2€) Nº 121 (que ainda pertence também à nova colecção de Verão da Andreia). O problema é que dê por onde der, a minha câmara fotográfica vê azul no lugar de verde grrrr!

And, there's nothing more to say lol. Did you liked most over black or blue (green)? Do you have any strategy to get cooperation from your camera?

E pronto, nada mais a dizer lol. Gostaram mais com preto ou com azul (verde)? Têm alguma forma de resolver este problema da câmara fotográfica e dos tons?

Hello Sweeties! :D

Since i don't really have much time to even right a decent post about polish lol i decided it's time to do a quick post on my latest polishes shopping :) (latest in the term of more than a month! lol). Here we go!

Uma vez que mal tenho tempo para escrever um post decente relativamente a vernizes, decidi que está na altura de vos mostrar um post rápido sobre os últimos vernizes que comprei :) (últimos... desde há mais de um mês! lol). Aqui vamos nós!

Well, i bought the last four while spending time around believing that i forgot my keys inside my house and that i would have o call the firemen... in the end, the keys were in the door (outside!) and my boyfriend almost "killed" me lol.

Bem, comprei os últimos quatro quando estava a fazer tempo pensando que tinha deixado as chaves dentro de casa e teria de chamar os bombeiros... no fim do dia, as chaves estavam na porta (do lado de fora!) e o meu namorado ia-me "matando" lol.

And last but not least, my Catherine Arley haul!! :D I bought them in the end of May and i was a bit concerned with shipping because i have read in some blogues that they weren't carefull enough or didn't even use bubble wrap in Catherine Arley Polishes. I purchased them relativelly cheap, including shipping, from this site http://beautycosmetic.biz/ and i asked for a Paypal invoice. These polishes were produced in Turkey, but only sell in Bulgary. I have to tell you that i loved how i was treated by their personnel :)

E por último, mas não menos interessante, os meus Catherine Arley!! :D Comprei-os no fim de Maio e confesso que estava preocupada com o transporte até mim, uma vez que já tinha lido nalguns blogs que eles não protegiam muito bem os vernizes, e, inclusivé, nem plástico bolha usavam! Comprei os Catherine Arley neste site http://beautycosmetic.biz/, sendo que pedi um invoice via Paypal. Este vernizes eram produzidos na Turquia, mas agora sé são vendidos na Bulgária. Acrescento ainda que o pessoal da empresa tratou-me muito bem! :)

Iei! they all arrived safely and protected (though i would use more bubble wrap lol)! Sadly to me, the major holographic Catherine Arley are no longer being produced and so they aren't available in the site... so i only got scattered holos and some "small holos" (i'm missing the word), that are still gorgeous! :D

Iupi! Chegaram-me todos bem e protegidos (se bem que eu usava mais plástico bolha!)! Infelizmente para mim, os Catherine Arley com holografia espectacular já não estão a ser produzidos nem à venda no site... então, só comprei Catherine Arleys holográficos dispersos e "Holo wanna be" com diz a Marta lol, mas super giros na mesma! :D

Sunday Stamping Chalenge - Glitter

Hello Sweeties!

Today is sunday stamping challenge day! And this week the theme is "stamping with something glitter somewhere" lol. 

Hoje é dia de desafio de carimbos! O tema desta semana é "Carimbar com glitter algures" lol.

I started with China Glaze Optical Illusion from the Prismatic Chroma Glitters collection. It has such a nice application, awesome drying time and oppacity! I love it! There's a lot going on with the base glitters lol but today i'm not in the mood for details... look at pictures :p I can't see the expected duochrome finish like i did in Prism :| Optical illusion is super gritty when it dries, and even with two coats of Essence gel-look Top coat it remained just a bit like that. Anyway, it doesn't bother me, but since i knew i was going to stamp it i decided to plain the surface a bit lol. The following picture have no top coat, and i'm sorry about the cuticles but this glitter is hard to clean 

Comecei com o China Glaze Optical Illusion da colecção Prismatic Chroma Glitters. Tem uma aplicação excelente, não escorre para as cutículas, seca super rápido e apresenta uma opacidade incrível com duas camadas! Amei! Há muita coisa a acontecer com os glitters na base, mas hoje não tenho paciência para detalhes... vejam as fotos :p Não consigo ver o efeito duochrome esperado nas unhas como vi no Prism :| Ele quando seco fica muito, muito, muito arenoso e com duas camadas do Top coat Gel-Look da Essence ainda permaneceu um pouco com esse efeito, o que não me faz confusão, mas como sabia que iria carimbar tentei remediar a situação para algo mais plano lol. As fotografias que se seguem não têm top coat e perdoem-me as cutículas - este verniz é difícil de limpar

Such an amazing shine to Optical Illusion!! What i need is a mermaids design to stamp with lol. But, as i don't have one, i decided to do some peacock nails with BM 212 and Essence stampy polish in black. After, i did the dots with Born Pretty dotting tools using Orly Royal Navy (blue) and Petites Zodiac (purple). I confess that it turned out an intense manicure lol but, to vary, i love it!! lol

Que brilho estupendo tem o Optical Illusion! O que eu precisava era de um carimbo de escamas de sereia para carimbar aqui... lol mas como não tenho, decidi fazer uma manicure pavão. Utilizei a plaquinha BM 212 e o verniz Essence Stampy polish preto. Depois, fiz as bolinhas com o boleador da Born Pretty store utilizando os vernizes Orly Royal Navy (azul) e o Peties Zodias (roxo). Confesso que ficou uma manicure intensa, e, para variar, adoro!!! lol

Força Portugal!!!!

Good Morning everyone!

Believe me, i'm surely not awake this early in the morning :p I had to schedule this post because later on i have another one for todays stamping chalenge. And... what day is this?! This is the day were Portugal is going to win Netherlands and go to the Euros's final quarters!! And i have my nails and voice to cheer a lot for them! :D

Acreditem em mim, não estou de certeza acordada a esta hora tão matutina :p Calendarizei este post para cedo porque mais tarde vou publicar outro post sobre o desafio de hoje. E... que dia é hoje?! É o dia em que Portugal vai vencer a Holanda e vai ser apurado para os quartos de finail do Euro!! E fiz uma manicure para torcer pela nossa equipa! :D

A very simple to do manicure and inspired in the Portugal's alternative equipment. When we played with Denmark our players used this equipment, so i'm not sure if today will be the same. But since Netherlands plays in orange i have the feeling it is :p So, i painted my nails in white (i need a better one and i'm accepting sugestions lol) and unfortunately i don't have any color like the green from the equipment, so i draw the green lines with H&M Lady Luck and the red ones with Wynie nail art in red. It's not perfect, but today i don't care lol

Muito simples de fazer e inspirada no equipamento alternativo de portugal :p  Quando jogamos com a Dinamarca foi com o equipamento alternativo, por isso não sei se hoje também será. No entanto, uma vez que a Holanda joga de laranja pode ser que sim :p Então, pintei as unhas de branco (preciso de um melhor e aceito sugestões lol) e infelizmente não possuo nenhuma cor como a verde do equipamento; o que mais se aproxima é o H&M Lady Luck e usei-o, bem como o Wynie nail art em vermelho para as linhas da mesma cor. Não ficou perfeito, mas eu não me importo hoje lol :p

Hello gorgeous! I'm hoping you are having a nice weekend!

This week i kind of won a weekly chalenge in a portuguese facebook group with my flowery design. For that i had to choose this weeks theme, and i choosed stripes :p It's not about competition, it's all about trying different things among us :)

Esta semana eu a modos que ganhei um desafio semanal numa página de facebook portuguesa com a minha manicure de flores. Asim sendo, recaíu sobre mim a escolha do tema desta semana, e escolhi "linhas" :p. Este desafio não é sobre competição, mas sim sobre nos desafiarmos semanalmente com diferentes temas :)

I started by applying the polish Colorama Verde Água (from Única Camada collection) and Sold Out For Ever from Catrice in alterning nails. Sold Out for ever is lighter than Colorama, and it is a soft green almost looking white, beautiful! The problem was that i tryed 3 different top coats attempting to get rid of bubbles and they even got worst! Bahh! Well, only in fall or under a blower will i determine if it's about the hot weather or the polish itself :| Anyway, it had an excelent application, créme base and decent drying time for the two layers i applied. About Colorama Verde Água, i already talked about him over here.

Comecei por aplicar o verniz Colorama Verde Água (da colecção única camada) e o verniz Sold Out For Ever da Catrice em unhas alternadas. O Sold out for ever é mais claro que o Colorama, sendo um verde quase branco lindo! O problema é que usei 3 top coats diferentes a tentar dizer adeus às bolinhas que se formaram... e só piorou! Enfim, só no Outono ou com ventoinha é que verei se as bolhas são do calor ou do verniz :| De resto, teve uma excelente aplicação, base cremosa e tempo de secagem decente com duas camadas. Relativamente ao Colorama Verde Água já falei sobre ele aqui.

I waited a bit for the polishes to dry and then went get my stripping brush from Born Pretty Store. I drew diagonal stripes over each nail in the opposite color. About this time i was wishing i had the new set of MASH plates because there's a nice stripes desing that would save me a lot of "work" and would look better! LOL

Esperei um pouco que os vernizes secassem e depois muni-me do meu pincel de nail art da Born Pretty Store. Desenhei linhas diagonais sobre cada unha, na cor oposta. Nesta altura só desejava ter as novas plaquinhas da MASH porque tem lá um desenho de linhas muito jeitoso e com menos "trabalho" conseguia melhores resultados! LOL

In the end, there was something missing... i looked at all my plates and came across M71 plate that i got for free in Born Pretty Store ( i still think they are offering these plates). I stamped a little flower with Colorama Violeta, also from Única Camada collection and... i love it! It turned out super fresh :)

Para terminar, faltava algo... corri as minhas plaquinhas e deparei-me com a plaquinha M71 que consegui "de graça" do site da Born Pretty (penso que ainda estão a oferecer essas placas). Carimbei uma flor com o Colorama Violeta, também da colecção Única Camada e... adoro! :D Ficou super fresco!
